my buddy and i actually just started working out in his home garage. just doing basics like working the heavy bag and mitts a little bit. before each workout we run for a mile or so. he actually used to attend a gym and he teaches me a bit that he learned from there a while back but i do however want to get the proper training so i think while doing these smaller workouts in his garage i will also eventually make time for the real deal.
wow i live about 20 min away from the casino and my g.f lives about 5 min away. im surprised i didnt know of this until just now. when is the fight suppose to take place and if tickets are still on sale where can i get them??
i actually just watched my old raging bull vhs the other day and i definately liked it better this time around. last time i watched it was prob a good while back, maybe over a year or so. it grows on you every time. now would i say its better than rocky? i honestly couldnt. they are both just two very different types of films, but i guess since i came up on the rocky movies and saw and loved them first id go with them over RB but like i said, two totally diff genres in a sense.
well i just turned 20 2 months ago...and i really really want to start taking the sport to a more serious level other than just hitting the heavy bag at the gym and working the mitts with my boy here and there. but to me even just turning 20 is too old to begin and hope for a seriously prosperous career in the sport but what do i know?
Roy is the shit. definately one of the best out there. anyone think he still has enuff in him to pull off one more spectacular victory over someone that will make him retire on a better note?
why are so-called boxing fans on here so consumed with starting stupid fucking threads just trying to bash a certain fighter? this thread is fucking retarded like the jackass that started it.
amen to that.
close. its hard for me to answer only because i favor holyfield for so many reasons that im afraid even IF lennox had a better resume id be biased and say evander. but actually thinking hard about it id still say evander.
ok you make valid points. i just see people like rocky marciano who were short in stature and had more obstacles to overcome, then valuev, who talks about beating his record, and who has so much more of an advantage, and it pisses me off.
WTF???
Ward was NEVER world class.
Hatton would beat him either widely on points or by late stoppage. There is no way that Ward wins, let alone by knockout.
ok maybe i was wrong in my knockout prediction i was kinda ina rush, but dont underestimate ward. i like hatton 2, but if he clinches enuff with ward he would get a decision, if he toughed it out and fought toe to toe hed get his ass handed to him, and if he moved enuff n boxed then hed also get a decision, so his chances are higher than ward, i take back my prediciton.
Valuev is a joke. if he was say 6'2 or below in height, he would have gotten his ass handed to him long ago. i honestly beleive his height is the MAIN reason and 1 of the only reasons he has done well thus far. fuck valuev.
he wasnt very "gangsta" as a matter of fact. he didnt come off as trying to be hardcore in any way to me. its hard to describe his character but i think he played it well.
i uploaded a few hatton fights in this thread:

thank you i appreciate it. if anybodys got any urango fights to help me analyze both fighters styles it would also be very appreciated. thanks again
would anyone think im retarted if i ever got an ALI tattoo? i have no tattoos period and i probably never will but once and if i break that by getting some things close to me like family related tattoos first, i may consider a nice portrait of ali.
ok i found some urango stuff but very little. so far he's reminding me a liiiitle bit of tyson in this one fight, black trunks black shoes no sox and a similar style in his set and punch combinations. not sure if its cus im high right now that i see this similarity or if its cus its true.
cool video. i love that all these guys are friends and business men outside of the ring, and how they make money off eachother when they fight, but at the same time id prefer a good old grudge match where the two fighters seemingly hate eachother and have a legit beef. just makes the fights more interesting imo. but its a business above all else so i understand not everyone is gonna hate eachother, its all respect and love at the end of the day or at least it shude be.
anybody have any decent fight footage from either of these two that i could download because i havent seen enough and i really want to start learning about new fighters and i have no idea where to find alot of their fights. = (
im sorry for any valuev fans out there but i just cant respect the man. who has he fought thats honestly gonna give him a REALLY tough time yet? and i hate to pull the size issue up but its true, hes just so damn big that its almost unfair, but i think Sam could def pull it off and id love to see somebody finally do it.
