K-dogg wasnt very bright when he tried to downplay holyfield's resume, its better than tunney's resume in any way that you look at it. Tunney had to rely on beating a middleweight as one of his big wins.
Holyfield easily. Great resume at both weights he fought at...no contest.
Qawi
Ocasio
De Leon
Dokes
Douglas
Foreman
Cooper
Bowe
Holmes
Moorer
Mercer
Tyson
Lewis
and every other mid-level heavyweight there was around his time. the guy fought and beat pretty much the best of his day.
Holyfield had a terrific resume, but the Foreman and Moorer wins are overrated because of Holyfield losing to Moorer the 1st time.
if Holyfield had taken care of business the first time against Moorer instead of having one of his countless ailments, i have a feeling he wouldn't be given as much credit. then foreman would've been a 40+ year old guy who didn't beat any top 10 guys in his 2nd career, and moorer was a dangerous, but chinny, light heavyweight who ate his way to the hw division.
since holyfield lost to moorer the 1st time, and later beat moorer, holyfield beat "foreman who was later hw champ" and "moorer who was also a hw champ".
one of the cases where a guy gets too much credit for losing, then getting revenge, instead of winning the 1st time.
i wouldn't even list cooper up there. he was a journeyman/fringe contender when holyfield beat him.

close. its hard for me to answer only because i favor holyfield for so many reasons that im afraid even IF lennox had a better resume id be biased and say evander. but actually thinking hard about it id still say evander.
well looks like the lennox lewis nut-hugger ruined the topic....anyway just to make it clear holyfield fought everyone they put in front of him and did NOT duck anyone!
he did stay away from Lewis for a while, though it was Tyson and Bowe who really ducked Lewis.
I think Holyfield fought the better fighters, not any fault of Lewis though. Holyfield's early exploits let him edge this one.
Lewis was the better fighter though as we all know. Best heavyweight of his era.
Sorry, I thought resume generally meant who you actually had victories or at least faired well against.
At any rate, Holyfield had tougher opponents. And Burt Cooper should be added to his list; as well as Toney since victories don't count.
well u can have a job resume with a job reference that u got fired at.

how can you put Pinklon Thomas and Alex Stewart UP there?
If your talking about fighters fought then Foreman or Patterson have the best ones...Its about who you beat not who u get beaten by. Lennox had the better resume than Holyfield and was a better fighter than Holyfield.
GOD! u r getting off topic. if i wanted to name both of those i would,i didnt say the best ever!
all i said was best resume of good recognizable fighters, thats all. plain and simple.ahahha
and pinklon was an all around good fighter and stewart gave holyfield some troubles. and his record aint that bad. 43-10 40kos
I'm sorry but Lewis did not beat a "prime" Holyfield. Holyfield was already past his prime when he fought Tyson.
And if were gonna stray away from official decisions and declare Lewis beat Holyfield in the first fight, than one could argue that Holyfield won the re-match. I know I had him up by a few points with only his inactivity(cause he was past his prime and low on energy) in the later rounds making it closer.
:hijacked: i just asked who had the best resume.

Lets compare:
Holyfield beat:
Hasim Rahman
John Ruiz
Michael Moorer
Mike Tyson
Ray Mercer
Riddick Bowe
George Foreman
Larry Holmes
alex stewart
pinklon thomas
buster douglas
chris byrd
While Holyfield beat these guys Lennox beat Holyfield TWICE so it makes Lennox Better than him because Holyfield became a big name since beating Tyson and Lewis beat a Prime Holyfield twice.
Lewis beat:
Holyfield
Tyson
Mercer
Morrison
Ruddock
Klitschko
Bruno
Tucker
McCall
Rahman
Akinwande
Golota
Briggs
Grant
Tua
He beat every available contender/mandatory he ducked no one, he was ducked a lot, Tyson did'nt want to fight him earlier on, Bowe threw his belt in the bin instead of facing him, Lewis stopped Bowe in amatuers as well.
ahaha. i asked for fighter fought not beat.
Holyfield fought more greats than Lennox did. Lennox has multiple fights with people like Rahman as Holyfield has Tyson and Bowe. I would say Holyfield.
Id say Holyfield. He fought anybody they put in from of him and he was a warrior. Lenox had good opposittion too but Holyfield was there when the HW era was full of talent.
