I tuned in late and saw the last part of the Karras fight. Which was from 7 round on and round 7 he was getting beat then he came on strong 8,9,10 good fight from what i see but Karras looked very weak.

I would get the rematch and just add Joe Cortez as the ref.

I cought the end of his career. And last month i had a chance to download two of his fights. and i got to say, he was a badass. Very skilled boxer/puncher with power who could box or brawl with you then ko you. I really think he'd be champion if he was in his prime today. I was impressed with his fights. I know he had a brother who became Champion too, but i never seen his brother fight. Anyone seen Canizlaes prime? I remember reading how a Canizales v. J.Jones fight was suppose to be big the two best fighting for dominace but it never happened.

Was seeing a small interview of his about his new movie Wrestler. And found the interview very interesting. He says that he was a good amature boxer and had always regreted quiting boxing. And thats why years later he stopped acting -which also cost him some roles- for boxing even though he was older now. That at first it was just to get one fight and then one fight turn to two, five etc. Till he finally retired from the ring. And started acting again. Got to give credit to Rourke. Just got the recent issue of SI-latino and it has a great article on Edwin Valero. It says Valero worked any job he could as a kid and had to leave school at 13. He loved getting in fights and supposedly has teeth marks on his nuckles. And that he spend 7 months in jail and if he wasn't under 18 at the time he'd have gotten 15 years for stealing motorcycles. And that Valero started out particing the martial arts and paid for classes. Then he found out about boxing and told his brothers it was free and Valero was hooked son after. Then almost as quick he asked him mom if he could live at the gym cared by his coach, but Valero says he cared for himself as proof he side tracked when he stole the m-bikes and his coach had a serious talk to him about boxing. And that it was Bojados old amature trainer and Delahoyas Dad, that brought him over to the states. Then of course as we all know he went to Japan after he wasn't mediclly cleared to fight in the usa. But the article said that there having a very hard time to find sparring partners for Valero because he keeps knocking them out. And that he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao or Juan Manuel Marquez so he moved up in weight. We know how the Pac fans fear any talk of Pac v. Valero. So that leaves Marquez v. Valero and thats going to be a great fight once Valero starts fighting in the us. Pac fans are shitting there pants knowing that Valero wants a piece of the Pacman, lol.

Just thinking of the interview Chavez gave on radio months ago and how Sr. wanted Delahoya to fight his son so Delahoya could see how it felt to not be what you were at one time in boxing. And people laughed it off and i thought the same that Delahoya still had enough left to beat JR. but now, Jr. would seriously hurt Delahoya. I guess it wasn't hate, as Chavez Sr. said on that radio show, but as he said, "he wanted Delahoya to see how it felt to not have it anymore" and Sr. wanted his son to be the one to put a nail in Delahoyas boxing coffin. Chavez Sr. knew as Roach knew, what we didn't know.

Would all of you feel bad for Whitiker if he had to fight Margarito? If Whitiker were still around? Whitiker is 5'6 Margarito is 5'11

And to be honest i couldn't watch past 2 rounds of that shit. Its pathetic. But then again im comparing it to boxing. Amature boxing has more skill then "toughmen" contest. I know theres been people that said if you like brawling you should watch "toughman" contest and i say no ****ing way does a "toughman" contest compare to a brawling boxing match. The skill level is no contest.
