A boxer who's been floored and actually attempts to get up, stumbling and what not, is actually trying. Even in that state they still inderstand their purpose and are willing to near die for it.
A boxer wincing in pain from a body shot, rolling around on the mat and crying, has failed but has also tried.
A boxer who has a swollen face with cuts the size if their eyes and with blood pouring out of their head is someone who is trying to achieve their goal, win, lose or draw, through whatever circumstance.
A boxer who has the ability to rest on his/her knees but fails to even attempt to rise to the occasion, is unfortunately a quitter... If at least for that fight.
I have to say Cotto is the better fighter and boxer, and most if not all of his fights show that he is more versatile. He's patient and picks his shots more accurately than Marg.
Margarito is more one dimenstional where his chances are to utilise his physical advantages while absorbing some damage to get the win. From what i've seen with Marg, is that he likes to bang inside or work his way closer to the opponent when he'd be more successful from the outside.
The difference between the two is., Cotto is patient and accurate while Marg is tougher physically and can take more punishment than Cotto.
My point is, if it was Cotto was in there with Mosley instead of Marg (in my opinion, Mosley looked a lot better in the Marg fight than with Cotto), then at least Cotto would've had enough patience to pick at his opponent (something he didn't change up during his fight with Marg) without his usual 'forward pressure' on his opponent style.
All the above is my opinion, so don't take it to heart...
Parker is going to have to make some fairly significant stylistic changes as he is ridiculously easy to hit. Even Cojanu - who is as slow as a quadriplegic tortoise - was hitting him at will whenever he bothered to throw his spaghetti arms (which wasn’t often).

As good as Cotto is, I think he'd lose to Mayweather. His chin is suspect and Mayweather would take full advantage of that weakness.
