If you want to fight with a strong jab and lead hook, as you've said, then you can put your strong arm forward... But if you want your bread and butter cross to be as strong as it could be you should fight with right arm back. If you are going to be right leg forward left back... Then still work on stance discipline from that. Don't try that switch foot **** yet.
I would say if you want to be hook dominant you need to work on the form of your hook. It's hard to explain online but every punch should start from your root.. Your lead foot and leg should torque with the punch.. And your basic hook should be backed up by the shoulder. Just keep structure in your arm and let your body do the rest. Torquing your front leg will help you line up your hips and shoulder behind the hook..that where the power comes from. And Rockin is right.... People are trying to knock your head off pretty quickly even in sparring. I'd say the most important thing outside form and technique would be if you have the mentality for it.
Hey bro I did another vid but I posted it here
Can u please tell me if I did the hood right this time?
Tha.ks for the help guys

Ok...as some had already stated, sort out your stance...you can't keep switching like that at your level, and try and plant your feet better, you are swaying too much on your heels. There are times when you duck down or back where basically a tap will knock you over...keep balanced. Also, actually imagine you are facing a real opponent - how tall are you? Because I'm noticing you keep ducking down and trying to punch up through the 'would-be' guard of the opponent...and try and keep your own guard up better. That's obviously a habit if you don't have a trained instinct for defense or don't have the muscle memory as of yet, but yeah always keep the hands up, I mean when you are throwing the punches which open yourself up, of course, such as the hooks. :boxing:
this is my latest vid of last week
Please dont try this at work
Hahah
I want to spar so bad
Damn!! My homie double left putting in that work AT WORK! I like the fact that you used a target now and worked around it. My only suggestion would be to plant your feet better when throwing and moving as opposed to the free flow/slippery style on the video. You seem to like to move and be ellusive, watch videos of Pac and study his footwork. Once you get that down, work on speed combinations and you're good!

I can't afford a trainer and a gym lol
I am actually just gonna try learn from you guys comments in here,
I am currently 182 now compared to my 185 when I started this thread I'm gonna try go down to 160 lol and try amateurs for fun
Ummm at this stage you don't pay for gym AND trainer. You just pay the gym monthly fee and the trainer takes care of you. It's less than 100 bucks a month.

I used to have a ton of my fights recorded but through tough times a lot of things that were precious to me were lost or destroyed, or both. My fight tapes/cds were among the losses.
How would you know who to look for on utube or google?
I had a few bouts televised, but I haven't been able to find them..... Rockin':boxing:
u just type your name lol or whatever nickname u use
like for example type on google "jackie chan"
maybe u can try this
type ur name vs someone u fought againts before that got famous today
try put his name first if it doesnt work
lol, I've long since retired from throwing my fists around. I don't fight anymore. Fightin's for the young and I'm glad that I spent a great part of my youth fighting.
My nickname was Scronny Ronny................. Rockin':boxing:
dude how come u aint in youtube or google?
do u happen to tape a single fight of your?
You're stepping into shark infested waters with your talk of competing.
If you had stepped in with me for my first amateur bout as you stand now you would not even last a minute before the ref would have been mercifully pulling me off of you. The kid actually lasted about 45 seconds in my 1st bout. Like I said, once that bell rings things get real very quickly............ Rockin':boxing:
Lol probably true but at what weight are u competing?
And what's ur name bro I would like to watch u fight
Dat's da way yous gotta talk it up e'ryday kid, errrrr, yous gotta eat lightning'..... and crap THUNDA!!!!!
If you're not properly trained it will look like a lot more fun when you were watching it from outside of the ropes.
When that first bell rings things get real (or in some cases, unreal) very quickly in a boxing ring.................. Rockin':boxing:
Lol I guess so we will see
I'll definitely post my humiliation fight when it comes
But dude rocking what u think
I'm a right handed but I'm used to left hand stance that's why in the vid I try to do right hand and it always goes back to left, is it okay to stay on left stance?
I hear the advantage of this is I will have a powerful right hook and jab but will have no main weapon :/
You should just go to a gym and get a trainer man. Not saying anything bad about these guys here but it's better to be taught in person.

If you are right handed I would suggest don't get fancy...keep your right leg back your left forward and your hands up. Work on throwing confidently from a stationary position and then add in a little jump step when you feel confident enough. To jump step forward, plant your back foot and propel while lifting your front foot slightly off the ground. This allows you to cover real estate without losing form. To jump step backward plant your front foot and propel while lifting your back foot. If you are side stepping, slide where you need to then reassume your stance. Stay in form at all times! Don't let your knees lock keep your knees bent!
Don't try to get fancy, switching stances until you have a solid foundation in your stance work.
On to punching... Get a heavy bag. Aside from another person that is by far the best way to work out how you actually need to punch. Just get yourself some training gloves and wrap your wrists and hands to prevent injury. One thing you'll find is your hooks and uppercuts lack any substance. Get your body behind your punches! Utilize the jump step to give you more power and momentum when you are ready. And if you gonna hook, twist into the hook. If you gonna uppercut, make it more than an arm punch. If you gonna jab snap and reset. If you gonna throw a damn right hand. Follow through!

do you normally call fat white men 'black bastards'?
you sound like the kind of punk that I dreamed would try to front me like that back in the day.
if you really wanted to learn to fight you would have been in a gym training with us. Going around starting fights with people who don't know how to fight back is for insecure puzzies only. Get some class and get into a ring to fight, but you're probably afraid of people who can fight back. Just like all of the rest of the worlds insecure puzzies. 99/100 street tough guys fight like girls anyway.......... Rockin'
It's pretty obvious he's trolling but that sh*t was funny as hell tho.
