Who's the better fighter Margarito or Cotto?

Where are the Margarito fans? Are they suspended too?

If I was going to war and I had to choose one of them 2 to help me.....Marg would be the dude Excellent point...

It really affected Cotto's reputation from a great fighter to mediocre. Hope he can rebound from this unpleasant incident. cotto can beat marg w/ a better corner and a better trainer and a better strategy.

jennings and gomez says he doesnt fight the best. Jennings and Gomez are hatton wannabes exposed early enough in their careers that they will not be humiliated by desperately overreaching their talent. Of course, neither of them were KTFO in just two rounds.

Fighters take knees to regain there composure...Quitting is looking at the Referee and saying I'm done...or not coming up off the stool. A knee is strategic. Not if you get up and WALK THE OTHER WAY WITH YOUR BACK TO YOUR OPPONENT. LOL

I would like to add that the reason I think that margarito might be a better fighter without the gloves (it might even go without mention) is that we don't know whether Cotto could have lasted until the final round and gotten a decision and whether his (margocheato's) gloves were loaded or not. Having added that, my feeling is that Cotto is the better fighter, but it's possible margarito is if and only if his gloves were not loaded for the reasons listed earlier.

Better fighter? Difficult to qualify, really. IF and ONLY IF margarito's gloves were not loaded (I believe they WERE LOADED), then margarito's the better fighter if for nothing else than the virtue of his insanely tough chin and overall durability. Loaded gloves or not, Cotto is DEFINITELY the better boxer, far and away.

I can't wait for a rematch and will see who's the better overall fighter.

Cotto has far more skill that Margarito, anyone with basic Boxing knowledge can tell that.

Well to be one of the greatest you have to have fought the best competition out there, and thats' exactly what cotto has done, all the greats have lost at one points. Cotto can't be said he ducked anyone, he's fought top 5 welters, quintana, judah, clottey, mosley, and margarito. everybody knows that he'd fight floyd if he had the chance. now he's fighting an all time great in pacquiao. i think cotto is the more versatile boxer compared to Margarito. Margarito has a lot of talent but the handwraps thing is going to hunt his legacy forever i think... Cotto is a really good fighter too Bragg, just because he lost to Margarito doesn't mean he's not. jennings and gomez says he doesnt fight the best.

No that's not quitting IMO. He was getting beat up but tried his best to stay in the fight but in the end was dead tired had nothing left. I can't believe anyone can watch that fight and say Cotto quit. to me...taking a knee is quitting...i know it seems like it isn't too prideful...but at the end of the day...that's you saying "i've had enough"...if he went out on his back...that's not quitting...that's you saying "i'm here and now i'm not"...i've seen a lot of fights stopped by corners, refs and doctors...none of that is on the fighter...so they didn't quit...but if you willfully say that you've had enough...i can't call it anything else but quitting...

But Cotto never quit....he just didn't have anything left in the 11th round and couldn't go on. but...isn't that quitting? i know one thing...when margarito comes back...his first fight needs to be with cotto...if cotto wins...a lot of questions will be answered...

yeah i hope it gets signed soon like this week or the very latest next week. Or maybe my bday july 30 now that would be great 2 things to drink to lol. And i hope they put a bad ass undercard on there too ya know.

It's still a long way to go but I hope it will happen without any glitch
