...and Joe would have had higher powers of recovery too. Joe would have beaten him ten years ago if the chicken shit Yank fighters would have cared about the game more than money.
It's this Bert Sugar syndrome. "The U.S and Latin America is the world". So ****ing insular.
Anybody tired of their act at this Manchester arnea? They look so goofy flexing their biceps at the camera.
They are also obviously racist.
You complete idiot! That's racist saying that!
Do you think the corner should have pulled him out?
Yes! In the 10th. I hope Lacy will be back, he's given us some great entertainment and some great ko's. He can still go all the way, as long as Calzaghe retires in the next couple of years?
Glen would be a great fight for Joe. I dont think it will happen, especialy if Tarver or Jones comes a knocking with a sack of $$$.
But if it did, i cant see it going much different than the Lacy fight? Joe will outscore anyone, but i can see Tarver roughing it up a bit more, using his experience, but i think Joe would get a comfortable points decicion.
Firstly, Roy Jones is a legend! However, he's now a spent fighter. He had the skills to beat Tarver but was found wanting. Tarver would do well to avoid Calzaghe, which i think he will. But for Joe's sake, he's got to push for that Tarver fight.
People should not be surprised that Joe is still being criticized. Joe has a long history that is downright stale. With this win, Joe has opened a door. That is ALL. He still has to WALK through it. If he goes on to do what he did before the Lacy fight (fighting unknown/unproven fighters at home) then his win means little. If he walsk through the door of oppurtunity and uses this fight as a launching pad to get bouts with guys like Kessler, Tarver, Woods, and Adamek, then we can really be impressed.
It is not a crime to admit that Lacy was not as good as people thought. That's not demeaning Joe, it's just stating a fact. And along with that, we also state the fact that Joe did very well and won in such a fashion that he demands attention.
You were one certain person i remember calling him Calfaggie! Cheers for those bad karma reports.
Made Manny look like an amatuer. Schooled him well and made his punches look sloppy....amazing.
I dont think he made him look that bad. Morales had to dig deep at times. Especialy when he got careless in the last round, and loosing the first. But Eric's jab was near perfection.
Pac still has plenty to offer, and i hope he does!
I agree with you there. He may be the best fighter Joe has faced. But Joe's 33. Now he needs the biggest fights possible. And that doesnt include Joppy!
I didnt know that! It just sounds like a fake Irish accent to me? Which i've heard a lot of Bostoners do too. He's not Irish at all.
would feed on Calzaghe's iron rich blood.
They'll have to stop avoiding the untouchable Super-Middlewieght, soon to move to Light Heavy to clean up first.
Cheers Hayefan, i did go a little too far with my post this morning. Maybe like you sometimes, i get a tad upset when the Yanks dont see that there is a big world out there. The world isnt from NY to LA.
I'd love to see Taylor do it. But it may be decided by the ref. Just like the Eastman fight, Taylor may be pushed away by the ref when in close. So 'Nard can get away with running away for 12 rounds. I'd love to see Calzaghe move up and clean up. But that may look like it may never happen. It's a shame that by far and away the best Super Middlewight wont be able to get the big fights at Light Heavy, just because he wont pull in the punters Stateside. What happened to the best fighting the best?
All i can say is. The USA isnt the world!!!
I do agree with most of the list. 'Though i'd put Mayweather at the top. But 'sidestep' Hopkins wouldnt make my top ten. I'm glad to see Glencoffe Johnson not there, although this site voted him 'fighter of the year' ahead of Winky?????
Cant see the 'sig' matey. Trying to upload images but they're too bloody big! Cheers. Looking forward to Morales vs Pac tomorrow night. It's a shame we had to wait a week like!
Lol! I'd like to see him in with Johnny Nelson. Mind you, i'd like to see Johnny Nelson actualy get in the ring with anyone, rather than his other career as a pundit. I dont doubt his class tho!
I'll have to have one of those bet thingys when Ricky goes in with Skippy. I'll think they'll be a queue!
No offence meant though dude! Wow! Strange that you called me Moo. Thats what everyone calls me. Cousin of the famous American Artist Kathryn Moonan. You've probably never heard of her anyway? Oh well! Cheers Mr Knives!
Cheers Hayefan. Yep! I dropped a right bollock there.
Now, where's that fucking Super_Lightweight? I wanna bully him like he was bullied at school!
How is David Haye anyway?
Ok, i admit i kinda got it wrong there. But i gather poor Mr Parfitt has been brainwashed and 'Americanized' somewhat?
My beef was that a great deal of you have an ill informed opinion of Hatton, because you've seen so little of him. The same thing as i made an ill informed opinion of Roy Jones yesterday, because i dont live in America and unfortunatly havent signed up to the hype!
I'm not French by the way, i was mearly stressing the difference.
Whats with you putting your boyfriend on every post then Super_Lightwieght? I've seen starving kids being blown up by U.S bombers that have more meat than that?
