You're all taking as though Haye did not cut it at heavyweight............wasn't he Heavyweight World Champion after beating 7 foot Valuev? Yes he was!
alright, i'll give you the valuev fight - even though it was one if the Sh**est hw fights i've seen in recent times, and that's saying something.
so who else is there in this glitering career -
a washed up joh ruiz
monte barret
audrey harrison
and then when he stepped up the calibre of fighter, he got a serious beat-down.....but i suppose that was because of his toe.
you can't polish a turd.
am i in the minority because i think floyd has nothing to worry about with regards to a fight with martinez??? i know i've not watched his (martinez's) entire career but i don't see anything that would 'trouble' floyd.
wide UD to money may, IMO!!
I think Mayweather will have at least equal if not more support than Khan. Khan isn't exactly a Hatton where he has a massive backing. Khan going to America as quickly as he did has had an impact on his fan base over here & he has made a few derogatory comments about the UK boxing fans.
Floyd gained a lot more respect/fans after his fight with Hatton (me included).
The casual fans might not like Floyd but the actual boxing fans respect Floyds fight game & would probably choose him over Khan. I know I will be if this fight ever gets made.
props. one one the most sensible posts i've read.
Floyd was on his way to being koed, ortiz was getting to him in pretty much every round, a couple more of those and that woulda been it
it wasn't looking pretty for floyd, he was looking for a way out and found it
yo. please can i borrow your rose tinted glasses for the next fight?
boys, i couldn't agree more re the weight fluctuation between fights, and that was most evident with ac fight. but what i'm saying is, surely he should have kept BG? one **** performance (people will think more) against lazcano shouldn't warrant rid of BG.
btw, shaggin fat birds is good for dropping weight - not olnly are you buring c's off, but when you get up in the am, the last thing on your mind is eating.......trust me, i know.
hang on, hang on. am i reading this right - he's supporting terrorist in Chechnya? aren't these islamic terrorists you speak of? yet his main following are white supremacists in canada? don't stack up right to me.
i heard he was funding a tribe of midgets from mongolian. apparently he and his bro have set up training camps just outside of lapland. once trainned up, they're going to send them on a secret mission to south london, and steel adam a -z guide on how to be a cunt.
btw, props to wlad. both good guys.
" Stupid thread."
yet you took the time to reply. you'll need to go and redo your nail varnish now.
"Floyd isn't a Pacquiao, he isn't a global icon"
course he's not.
we'll see. i'll happily place bets that if they fight in the UK, 50%+ will be there to see floyd.
thats why he's ducking
pac and amir. all the fighters he's faced most of them are
one punch sluggers :
hatton, marquez, ortiz ... all one dimensional come forward fighters
who he had a reach and weight advantage over
lets not forget besides already being bigger than marquez
he came in OVER the weight limit and got away with it
just like he got away with hitting ortiz . now he wants
pacquiao to come in blood drained .. rotfl
if berto had beaten ortiz he WOULD NOT face berto
he could have fought him ages ago. he cherry picks
opponents that are smaller, or one dimensional ...
the only decent fighter he beat lately is shane mosley
but that guy was over the hill by then ...
even amir khan beat zab judah easier than mayweather did
no disrespect, i stopped reading when i got to this point.
to save me the time and energy, i suggest you listen to floyd's post fight presser when he talks on how pacman has had his scraps.
"hatton, marquez" hasn't pac faced these?? pac fought hatton after floyd??
"the only decent fighter he beat lately is shane mosley
but that guy was over the hill by then ... "
more or less over the hill than when he fought pac?
thanks for replying to my thread, but it ouzes (SP) hatred, and it's not balanced.
How dare you? She ain't that type of lady but lets see what happens when I put this comment up on her twitter as well as Floyds'.
please pop it on his twitter.
and if he replies, tell him he owes me £380 for my flight to vegas - i didn't go to see him ice hatton. i went to see it the otehr way round :boxing:
re the pics of her and nobody replying, with some of the haters on here, i suspect they're too busy hating and don't have enough time to appreciate miss jackon.
fair enough, ray. but are these the "weaknesses" which amir is refering to? surely his inability to fight often isn't a weakness that can be exploited in the ring?!
oh, i don't know....
if you know about boxing then you support mayweather, maybe not the man but defiantly the fighter
floyd has alot of fans in the uk
floyd made a lot of fans after the hatton fight. me included.
Who the hell in the UK supports Gayweather?
Wiggers/Chavs like Sugarsean?
erm, boxing fans???
remember what he said in his post fight presser? well i'd have to agree.
"Khan needs to stop ducking Jesse Vargas"
khan must be licking his lips and the thought of this. i've not seen much of vargas, but from what i saw the other night, there is no need for khan to fight him. it'd be a one sided beat down.
i think there is some credability in an ortiz fight. but i also think he should fight special k.
Chumpion ducked Broner for a shot fighter in Katsidis. He didn't even look that good against Katsidis. Marquez looked way better even with the knockdown by Katsidis Marquez was winning by lopsided decision before he stopped Katsidis. Burns and Warren cherry picked Katsidis for this very reason.
eh? you're comparing a ricky burns performance to a jmm performance? unbelievable.
btw, great work by burns and warren to 'cherry pick' arguably one of the most dangerous fighters at 135, for his first fight at that weight. break him in slowly, frank....
well done, ricky burns, btw.
still number one.....sergio stuggled too and it was againts a bum
i presume by 'bum' you're referring to darren barker? a 'bum' that was unbeaten going into that fight? firstly, darren barker isn't a bum. there is no such thing as a 'bum' in boxing. secondly, essentially, your ignorant comments aside, you're trying to discredit barker? if so, the only bum around here is yourself......oh and ignorant.
