That right hand is just thunder, he may never be the best "boxer" but in terms of pure power he should never be doubted. You could tell Sergei was done as soon as he started spazzing.
GGG looked good, nothing spectacular but that is what happens when the guy in front of you is so focused on defence. GGG realized that and started to go to the body, especially in the last round Stevens was really hurt to the body, he started moving as soon as he got hit by a wicked body shot. Now anyone talking crap about the stoppage, people need to realize that the corner stopped the fight and not the referee.
Hope he recovers soon, he really did fight his heart out in there, but yes he took way too many power shots. Yes he was landing shots regularly but he was really getting the worse end of it and maybe his corner should have stepped in.
I would side with Chavez with this one, I just don't think he can do to Chavez what Martinez did, Chavez is too big, strong, and has a good beard. So I would pick Chavez by KO.
I would take Garcia, always should bet on the proven commodity, and to me Broner has not really been tested at the level which Garcia has had success. Not only that but fundamentally Broner's defence is not actually that great. His feet are so far apart that he has to always rely on his upper body for defence instead of also involving his feet.
Yea Ellie completely switched from being that die hard Pac fan, he was always at the wildcard and now is in Garcia's gym leeching and talking nonsense.
The Peterson fight which I thought Khan deserved is the only one that can be challenged, the other losses were KO loses which people should understand cannot be disputed, and they weren't early stoppages either, in both cases Khan could not recover especially in the Prescott fight
Lol it be the same Floyd lovers n haters n all the Floyd threads, all of you obsessed with him. All of the 500 people who post on boxing scene can stream it, itll still do 1.2 cause of casuals n the weekend
This is exactly what people don't get, boxing never has and never will revolve around hardcore fans. Casuals drive this sport and will buy it.
I think he should stage a fight in the Philippines, the amount of frenzy they would have there would be unimaginable, he could probably easily fill a soccer stadium. Plus I believe too many fights happen in Vegas, a fight elsewhere would be refreshing.
I don't know what it is but I have never been interested in watching him, yes he wins fights but his style is too ugly to watch for me. I wtched the Bradley-Alexander fight and that put me off even more. I guess he just doesn't have something which distinguishes him as a fighter. The only thing people probably remember him for is his chrome dome. This is at least my theory about his lack of fans.
Even with that chin, I believe Khan would have a fairly good chance for a UD, but you know how Marquez is with his counters, so a KO is a big possibility.
I actually find it amazing that at 23 Broner has 5 kids, I have no idea how a man can live so recklessly. I don't want to wish anything bad on him and hope he has a good life, but all the indications are there that he will end up losing all his money and be broke like Holyfield
Watching the post fight discussions with Steve Bunce, Frank Maloney and tim witherspoon are just taking Wlad apart. They are just talking utter nonsense.
Comparing knock downs of the fighters will get us no where, In my opinion Wlad would win against Louis. It would be because of size, speed, power and overall the intelligence of Wlad. Yes we know Wlad has a suspect chin, but recently who has even touched it. imo Louis, a fighter from an era in which sports science was virtually non existent just cannot compete with a supremely conditioned athlete of today, which is Wlad. Wlad just has too many variables over Louis.
I give credit to Broner for a very good win over Demarco, but I wont give him the the go ahead against Khan just yet. Yes we know Khan is chinny but Broner still hasn't proven to me how he will be against top level competition. Once again im not going to take anything away from Broner for his fight with Demarco, but other than that his resume is not even close to someone who is seen as a future p4p king. I would like to see him against someone who has a mixture of good skills, fast hands and decent power. Someone like Khan would be good but for now I will favour Khan who has a better resume and has been a two time world champion.
Yes boxing is all about knockouts, but threads like these make the people posting in them seem sick and sadistic, I mean people claim they were happy when they see someone motionless on the floor.
Anything Khan will say people will take negatively, I don't know why. Yes we know he has losses, but he is a fighter and he talks about his "ambitions", I did not know people could bow not have ambitions in their life. If he does not believe he cannot beat any fighter put in front of him than what kind of fighter would he be. I swear the hate this man gets is just way too pathetic.
