Mallignaggi might be around 147, but his Power belongst to Flyweight division.

He stopped a big welterweight with his jab. He cut Juan Diaz's face and stopped another WW in Lozada. Thanks to repeat broken hands his power is limited but it's not completely absent.
So his only chance is to outpoint Malignaggi who still has OK footwork? Paulie has a great chin. How else could he even survive at this level, let alone have success, with only one hand? It would take a masterpiece...doesn't seem too likely.
Or he could vacate it immediately and move back down
oh he could certainly do that, he just wont get a whole lot of credit for getting the abc belt if he does that. He will get even less credit than jones did vs ruiz because atleast ruiz was a belt holder for quite some time where as paulie is a very weak belt holder and many expect him to loose very soon no matter who the opponent is.
Paulie by stoppage... Have you seen what those 100 pound men jabs do to Donaire's face? Now imagine a guy weighing in the high 140s or 50s... Paulie doesnt have much power for HIS weight class...but he'd look like the terminator vs a 122 pounder. He has a solid jab too...pretty heavy.
Paulie by an uncharacteristic stoppage.
only if donaire wears his bruce lee outfit again.

lol the guy is a 122 pounder and probably could barely be a 126 pounder
if Paulie loses to a 122 pound fighter who would be an averge to smaller 126 pound guy, then somethin's wrong
no big difference from 122-126
126 to 147 is huge
I think Donaire loses to any belt holder 140-147...but not Paulie. Paulie is one dimensional as they come and Donaire will out work him. It's a fight I'd like see...
It would be a difficult fight actually because Paulie jabs a lot and he has a good chin so I'm not sure Donaire's punches would have much of an effect.
This is a very winnable fight for donaire. Anyone know what their last fight night weights were?
The biggest problem for donaire is once he wins that welterweight belt people would want to see him fight other guys up there and he gets KTFO. Even guys at 130 and 135 like gamboa and broner are too big for him.

Not really, I think Donaire will be competive up to Broner size fighters!

lol do you not understand weight classes?
Mallignaggi might be around 147, but his Power belongst to Flyweight division. donaire can easily out box him! If Amir khan can stop him, Doanire can hurt him!
About ur question, make research about me & weigth classes at ESB. I schooled everybody there!
