do you know what a hypejob is? Ward is fighting and beating the best. Something calzaghe cant say he did. He ran his entire career and fought great fighters in their 40s and on the decline. Thats a HYPEJOB
Co-sign.
****e thread
Bellew gonna b dead on his feet come fight night this lad fought at heavyweight in the amateurs, still hope he splats Cleverly tho they hand world titles out like sweets these days
You know you're more than a casual fan when you see Gorilla Productions and you stop whatever you're doing cause you know you need to see it. QUALITY!!!
Spot on, GP videos make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and remind us how great this sport can be
Bradley can beat him, he has the speed and skills to beat him!! Also Ortiz, Ortiz has more power than Khan and has about equal speed. IMo if Marquez moved up to the 140 he could beat Khan because he is a btter technical fighter, im not saying he would knock him out but by UD!1
I think Khan would destroy Marquez at 140, he just wouldnt be quick enough to keep up with him
Bradley will be able to beat Amir Khan.
ortiz is last person in that division that can beat con. what the heck ortiz isnt able to beat any top 10. best what he have done is drew with peterson.
Its all about the syles brother, Ortiz got just the right mix of power, agression and skill

Look it seems you underestimate JM Marquez. Maidana is slow as fukk and he got to Khan, Yeah Maidana has more power than Marquez but Khan is easy to hit especially with the uppercut which is one of JM Marquez best punches and he throws it with combinations. IMO Marquez will school Khan!! Khan is not the monster people think he is, he has lousy defense!!
The jmm of couple of years ago and at 135 i'd have to agree but the old boys just been in too many wars, at 140 he would be out of his natural weight, Khan would have everything tilting in his favour at light-welter. Also when Jmm fought Fmj he weighed in at what 145? and he looked like he couldnt crack an egg. I like to be proven wrong though
I agree he looked like ****t against Floyd, But come on Homie it's Floyd, He makes everyone look bad. Dont matter if they are lightweights, welterweights or super welterweights, Floys is the best IMO and Khan is not Floyd. Khan is nothing special IMO. Marquez has the tools to beat him, but lets see what happens if they do fight!!!
I can see that fight happening. Heaven forbid Erik beats Jmm coz i could then see Golden Boy/team Khan chasing down a fight with Erik and i'd rather die than see Khan beat him
retard
paqiaou is not a 1punch knockout artist and paqiaou is a lil weight draining shot fyting twat i h8 the way he beats ppl who already lose on the scales
bruv prince droppeed a guy with the 1st punch in the 1st fkin round said lawal 17-0 or sumfing
naseem had the power to ko anybody in the featherweight division thats why hes on ring mazagine hardest punchers
erik morales wouldnt withstand the power of the prince if caught properly just like evrybody else
1st off Morales couldve taken Naz's power shots he had a cast iron chin, 2nd its highly unlikely he wouldve caught Morales cleanly, he didnt come remotely close to landing anything significant on Barrera coz these boys are in a higher league, he wasnt prepared for that step up, someone who wasnt intimidated or mezmerised or as easy to hit
If you think Morales was 'too fragile' you should revisit his first fights with Barrera and Pac. What im trying to get across is that it was the same Naz in with Barrera he just didnt look good coz Barrera was just too good, he wouldnt let him look good, kept his left foot outside Hameds right foot all night long and was just technically too good. Barrera read everything so well that night and got hit cleanly with what, 1 or 2 power shots that had zero affect, made Naz look like an amatuer.
How did hamed fight bums? he fought all the title holders in his weight division and was really undisputed featherweight kevin kelley was 47-1,Remigio Daniel Molina 27-0,Tom Johnson ibf beltholder,Wilfredo Vazquez the name jus says it all, Wayne McCullough, Paul Ingle 21-0,Cesar Soto, Vuyani Bungu hadent been beat in 8years and naz koed him , Augie Sanchez 26-1
and erik morales and barrera beat a shot version of kelley afta naseem koed him
Naseem was calling out barrera and morales for years but they wouldnt move up and barrera timed his move right and was the better man on the night
Yep all good names but like i said none of them in Barrera, Marquez or Morales league, theres a good reason these boys were/are fighting at top level years after Hamed left, they were superior fighters. Also McCullough was still basically a bantam when he fought the much bigger Hamed and some reporters ringside felt he at least deserved the draw. Never-the-less none of those names are 'elite', and neither was Hamed. (Hamed was accustomed to featherweigh where as it was Barreras first fight at the weight
Here we go again.....Hamed may have looked like a beast in previous fights only because the guys he was fighting allowed him to appear like one, Soto, Kelly, Sanchez (who both banged him up before Hameds power saved him) etc were no Marco Antonio Barrera. Fact is Barrera was a couple of levels up from anyone Hamed had ever faced, Barrera was a world champion 2-3 years before anyone had heard of Hamed and was a world champ years after Hamed dissapeared. Hamed was going up against his best opponent to date, was in his prime as far as age goes and had Emmanuel Steward in his corner so no excuses.
Lets just say for arguments sake Hamed brought something extra to the ring that night, just over a year before Barrera featured in one of the most exciting, fast paced and brutal fights ever seen in a ring v Morales so you know he had several higher gears to move through had he needed them.
p.s its good to be back!

Hhaaha a draw? Hamed won nearly evry round and naz beat evry1 who was good at featherweight but all the top boyz wer at superbantemweight naz was calling em out for years but they wanted no piece of him
Naz was always good at running his mouth and calling people out but when the time came to prove his self proclaimed greatness and create some kind of legacy he failed, badly.
I still don't know how PAC couldn't see that punch coming, the punch wasn't thrown from the side or from beneath his line of vision but straight flush at his face, although yes it was a very quick punch. When I look back over Marquez training photage seeing him land those right hands on the heavy bag and pads you really get a sense of the power, you can feel those shots go through you just watching them on screen so with 8 or 10oz gloves that shot could damn near kill someone.
Calzaghe is a joke, very overrated. Called Hopkins and Jones out for ten years and only decided to jump on a plane when they were old men, his best win was Kessler. I dont particularly rate Froch either but at least he showed balls by travelling to other champions back gardens. For the most part Calzaghes resume is absolutely dreadful and full of WBO mandatory nobodies
Those days are gone bro. Unfortunately, is all about money nowadays and integrity ain't worth sh1t. Now this might be kinda contradicting but it doesn't mean I disagree with these Cubans leaving our country either.
Theres still an awful lot of Cuban boxers with that mindset who dont defect.
I'm glad i got to visit Cuba before the yanks get their hands back on it, i've never known people with so little be so happy
Cuba produce great medics too, the best of latin america, all children are in school, infant mortality is lower than the US. They have tough years when URSS lost the cold war, but we can only imagine what Cuba would be if the USA let Cuba grow. (mostly Cubans in Miami who support the block, are killing their country and their brothers) life expectancy is 78.8 years, one of the highest of the world. They dont have apple gadgets or 200$ sneakers, and really have problems providing meat for their population, but there are great success on Cuba on a lot of areas, not just boxing or baseball.
USA provide soldiers and weapons all over the world, while Cuba provide doctors all over the world.
Well said, there is a huge amount of misinformation regarding Cuba and if it wasnt for Americas illegal embargo it would be in a better state than it is now.
Drive through some parts of America and you will of course see some terrible poverty and homelessness, if your sick and cant afford insurance you will die, if your smart but cant afford to pay for higher education you will be denied the right to further yourself. In Cuba healthcare (which is some of the best in the carribean) and university education is free to all. Going off subject here but you get my point, this is a subject where people will always dissagree
If you change one thing in history, it will dramatically change a lot of other things.
What if Cuba being what it is, is what makes their boxers so good?
Agree, its the system that has mainly produced all these world class amateurs over the last 40 years. The kids in Cuba train with equipment so old and tatty that most clubs in this country would throw away, kinda puts the multi billion sports nutrition industry and modern training techniques to shame.
Going slightly off subject its not purely Castros communist regime that has many people in Cuba going through hardship and poverty, the U.S imposed trade embargo which prevents Cuba trading with other countries and vice versa can't be too helpful to the countries economy either!!
Teofilio Stevenson was once offered a seven figure sum to defect in the seventies by Don King, he famously said he'd rather have the love of millions of Cubans than millions of dollars. Integrity.
Eubank also states that Calzaghe threw arm punches at him all night. He is very contradicting with his statements and seems to be in a constant state of confusion.
Eubank is contradictory he always was, just dont think he was as clever as he always aspired to be. Im sure he admits in his autobiography that he would of faced Jones if he had to but that he would never of been the same fighter after.
I would of loved for Eubank and Benn to have had a series of fights with Jones and Toney, it truly could've been the Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran of the 90's.
I wasnt as impressesd with juniors pro debut as everyone else seemed to be, yes it was a tidy enough showing for a first time out but the amount of shots he wasted on his opponents high guard was amatuerish and highly uneconomical, first time nerves i guess.
Eubank took the Cal fight on 2-3 weeks notice and was basically starved going in. Lacy, really?? And do you think Ward would of had any problems v Brewer, Reid, woodhall & Mitchell, I don't think so. Calzaghe is the epitome of a fighter who had his opponents hand picked at the right time throughout his whole career the only fight I give him credit for is Kessler & look what ward did to him. Ward beats him prime for prime and has accomplished way more at comparative stage of there careers
I agree i cant think of any other amateur standout in the last 15 years to crossover and be as consistent as DLH, unbeleivable skill, got shafted v Tito and Mosely rematch, he would of been a world champion in any era. I dont give a **** if people think Chavez was over the hill the way DLH moved through the gears that night he was close to boxing perfection
If your a proffessional fighter you should be able to fight on the inside, some may be able to do it better than others but its your proffession, you've been training and fighting for many years so if you cant fight on the inside by the time you get to a trainer like Roach your not in the right business, a trainer can tweek your game but the fundamentals should already be there
