Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson
Raging Bull by Jake Lamotta
Sam Langford-Boxing's greatest Uncrowned Champion
Evander Holyfield -Becoming Holyfield (and I absolutely hate Holyfield but it's a good read)
FWIW there are a ton of good books out there but I thought I'd name a few for now (unless you want me to name more).
I like books a lot because they go into details that are rarely, if ever discussed in articles or on websites. Also Thomas Hauser is a good writer and he has a few books as well, though I have never read any of them.
Why hate on Holyfield, he was a great champion.
Thank you guys, and keep 'em coming Top Rank.
Anybody know what's the best Ray Robinson book? I see there a few out there, but which one is the best/most accurate?
There is also this really good one on Joe Louis that I was reading at Barnes n Nobles a month or so ago, but I can't think of the name for the life of me.
If I remember it, I'll post it in this thread.
