Maidana obviously didn't have sparring gloves, and I doubt anyone seriously thinks that. The fact remains that there is a difference between the gloves though. If it wasn't a big deal, why the hell would Floyd make him wear another pair of gloves and pay him $1.5 million to do so?
Cause that fraud will protect his "0" at all cost, by ducking, retiring, pay his opponent for extra weight, and the latest one is paying Maidana 1.5 mil dollars to use a heavy padded foam gloves. That last stunt he did made? I totally lost whatever respect left I have for him as an arrogant self-centered punk, and a fighter. What a BIG pu55y that thing is.
i agree..philippine boxing is garbage..they only have pacquiao..nothing else
Let me guess, you only know few boxers and they are famous here in the states like Floyd, Manny, and your avatar Tim. Let me give you an advice, go to walmart buy a rope find an oak tree, and hang yourself. We have so many stupid people that sucking the air out of this earth. Boi, you're so stupid.
I knew immediately.
If he was just allowed to wear his NSAC approved gloves he would certainly deposed your king. Those hard punches landed squarely on that Puzzy's head and jaw and those body shots. Oh well, that's why he still have that "o"*. like one of the Transformer character said being "you'll survive being a coward".
An excuse? Ok lets pretend he hasn't had knee surgeries.
There was no way to know the state of his knees until he got in the ring and in the first few seconds, it was evident that they weren't there.
Cotto definitely hurt him so props for that but would Sergio be getting hit with every single left hook if he could actually bend his knees?
Dude, give it a rest. Did you see Sergio limping climbing on top of that ring? Was he limping seconds after the 1st bell rung? Was he limping after the first KD? Listen to what Lou DiBella said after the fight. Listen to Freddie on what the game plan was. It was a great game plan that executed perfectly. Please understand this. Freddie always have the best strategy and if his strategy is followed perfectly, the end result is a win. I agree with Freddie, if he had a right guy the first time he face Sergio, he would have won that fight as well. About Sergio's knees, watch 24/7 and all of his interviews before and after the fight. His knees has nothing or little to do why he lost last night, it was that punch that threw him across the ring that hurt him and the perfect strategy by Freddie that was executed beautifully by Cotto.
He sure wasn't shot vs Canelo, that was one of his best performances.....
Mayweather knows who to fight stupid vs because he know they are no threat. He fought with complete disdain for Maidana, fought his fight and still toughed it out, it's his way of challenging himself.....
Hope that rematch happens
Really? You believe what you said? So why he didn't let Chino use the NSAC approved Everlast MX gloves? If he really want to challenge himself he would have let him use the approved gloves instead of HIS approved pillows. Dang idolizing a p_USSy, is what you become.
Yes Pacquiao beat and stopped Cotto on PEDS. You forgot to add the last part.
Evidence please, if not stop trolling, and spit Floyds little babies outta your mouth so you'll think clearly.
Mayweather had Canelo up on the ropes multiple times, those who watched that fight many times will see everytime Canelo was seriously hurt he used a well timed foul to distract May and buy time. Now vs Lara he wasnt even trying to land the jab he basically walked face first with now worries to get close enough to land to the body, simply because of Lara's slapping running azz was doing nothing.......
So, May hits harder than Larun?
Chino is not allowed to drink any fluids each and every end of the rounds. He is not allowed to seat down, he is not allowed to be given any instructions. After the fact that he is wearing 10 oz gloves, while TBE is wearing 8 oz gloves.
Well he ain't no monster but Floyd still avoided him and ended up going for a cherry pick that almost went disasterous
I just read an article saying Froid will watch closely the fight between Cotto and Martinez as possible next opponent. Damn, Maravilla will win the $1.5 million lottery if Froid chooses him as his next opponent. Froid already dismiss Khan as his next opponent, too risky still have speed and good jab, plus he started to master the art of holding.
The only thing I can criticize about Lucas is he don't know what to do when someone keep on clinching him. When he fought Garcia, Danny keep on clinching after Lucas clipped him so that he can't follow up after landing those big bombs. If he knows how to get away and put a distance after each time he lands his punches and reset, I think he will be hard to beat. He have power on both hands, he have decent blocking and ducking defense. But he need to learn how to move his head as well.
Neurological, psychological and physiological damage in innumerable ways.
It's really bad, if you want some literature, look up the studies for the NFL and concussions. It pretty much can impact the entire body and brain in ways you couldn't even imagine.
Mood disorders. Loss of memory. Loss of motor skills and function. Headaches. Migraines. Loss of brain function. Etc, etc.
I agree about the Neurological, psychological, and Physiological damage. Some people I know that boxed for a living even have lost their eyesights, loss of sense of taste, and so forth. Boxing/fighting is indeed a very dangerous sport and I feel sorry for those guys that put their lives for us to be entertain and yet never really compensated for their hard works and efforts in the ring.
I was just about to make a comment on this in the other thread about lucas being over hyped or whatever...Seriously this guy has a huge problem rabbit punching guys, I'm going to just assume this is something they are thought when in the clinch. It is wrong but I guess if you can get away with it then go for it. Just do not B*tch and complain when it gets done back to you. Just because you are being held doesn't mean you land wherever is available some blows are illegal . This is boxing not street fighting.
Obviously you never box in your life, here let me explain. Yes hitting your opponent in the back of the head, low blows (bellow the belt line) thumbing, extending forearm without snapping it like a jab, excessive holding, elbowing, extended forearm to use as a shield, all this are illegal that's why there's a 3rd man in the ring called referee. It's up to the referee (the 3rd man in the ring) to uphold and remind (warn) the combatants not to do it coz it's not legal. Now, if the referee is not deducting a point after so many warnings? Why not do it if you can get away with it? That's why a lot of boxers/fighters are doing it cause they get away with it. Only few fighters/boxers fight cleanly, you can count them using just your fingers ( do not include your toes).
this is not a hate thread it is a serious question..he hits all his opponents to the back of the head 10+ times every fight he has been in
When your opponent duck down to chest level and start to clinch, best way of doing it is to hit him on the temple, if you miss, and miss you will, your punch will definitely lands on the back of the head of your opponents. But holdup, didn't he got dropped from a punch on the back of his head? He said he crumble after getting hit there.
Maidana was relying heavily on his punching power before he hook up with Garcia. He's stamina was very bad as well, after hooking up with Ariza his stamina improves a little bit. You can say he was starting to get winded during his fight with Broner but still able to KD Broner on the 8th where he normally starting to get gassed out. All those power punches he threw no matter if they landed or not that'll take a lot off energy from a fighter but he finished the fight still strong.
Against Mayweather, he have to put pedal to the metal all throughout the fight. His jab is underrated but that's how he was able to land his power punches. When he jabs, he better triple that ish and shoot his right down the middle, that's the biggest target on Floyds defense. None of those left and right crosses that he can roll his shoulders or block em with his paws. Just land those punches to Floyds elbows arms, and concentrate on the body shot as well. Is he gonna win by decision? Hell no! The only chance he have is to hurt Floyd and able to finish him off, but I don't see it happening. 11-1 so far.

turned down two offers on the OSDT cutoff dates (why do you even need cutoff dates in the first place?), turned down $40 million which would be more than he's made in any of his top 3 fights combined, and yet people say Floyd is scared?
You want proof of who is scared? Type in Floyd's scared to fight Manny on you tube and you'll find 5hit load of interviews with him by Costas, that dude from Xm 45 radio station, kenny from Espn (before he moves to Showtime) and many more. Once you do that, have an open mind then get back with us who really is ducking who.
It's hard to predict who gonna win between Lucas and Manny. With Manny slowing down a bit and his reflexes is not it used to be he will get tag and tag often and might get stop by Lucas. But if Manny uses his footworks and feint and head movement and not get caught on the ropes, he will punish Lucas and if Manny somehow landed a perfect body shot, he might put Lucas away. But it will be a tremendous fight with low reward as far as monetary is concern on Packys side.
If Oscar truly believes that he and Bob can work together again I will definitely pay for this fight if it's PPV. Provotnicov vs Porter, both likable dudes with killer instinct and leave nothing in the ring? What not to like? I like Porter been following his fights ever since he started sparring with Manny. The thing I don't like about Porter is he swings wildly sometimes, and with Freddy as Provs trainer he will train Prov to time that looping right hand. Both have power on both hands, but I'm leaning more on Provotnicov because his punches are shorter and more compact and he works downstairs and upstairs with good chin as well. He easily get bruise and cut though.
the punishment molina took last night is inhuman, dude is from another planet
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BmPtMIFCQAEdPvV.jpg
Too bad after that beating and previous ones he already showing some signs that he will end up with Parkinson's or some kind of brain damage that he will endure for the rest of his life. Notice his slur speech last night? I hope he will learn to protect himself and not to rely too much on his power shots. Get rid off Goosen, he get Molina kill sooner or later. What a bag of crap Dan is.
I'll buy that 5hit if they put it on PPV, two warriors going at it with no regards for their health and the well being of their opponents, why not? GBP/TR, make this your first make up fight together and fans will forgive you both for being such Divas. At least I will forgive them lol.
That voodoo ***** worked a charm. Had me running scared.
Floyd don't want none of that.
No need for Manny's mom to put a hex on Floyd to make him run, he been running ever since Manny became a threat to his "0".
Marquez looks spectacular last night against a slow, hesitant, gun shy Alvarado. But he got drop by that slow mofo, now imagine Maidana bull rushing Marquez while throwing those punches in weird and unexpected angles. I think Maidana will stop Marquez via TKO. I notice that whenever Alvarado touches Marquez body he kinda stoop down a bit seems he get hurt by those body shots. I believe Maidana have a longer reach than Manuel, and he have that snapping jab to set his right hand, plus Chino is a lot bigger than Alvarado.
How about both fighters just suit up like regular boxers but instead of throwing punches to one another they just play PS4 with red corner fighting the character of blue corner and vise versa. But in the same ring ok?
Sorry folks but I have to bust your cojones, Floyd ain't gonna fight the midget that fights like an amateur. Like he said it before,(1) Manny have to leave Arum, (2) he have to sign under TMT, (3) beat atleast Guerrero or Canelo, (4) Manny ain't gonna get **** from fighting him, meaning not even 95 to 5 %, (5) he ain't gonna fight Manny even if Oscar and Bob becomes best buddies and co-promote a fight unless Richie agrees with it (which he states, "I will never work with Bob ever again" (newest demand).
So there you have it folks, no more arguing who's the best between the two because we will never find out.
Hell i wouldnt mind Pac-Marquez 5 too in Mexico City or Cowboys stadium: Pac a fallen hero seeking revenge vs the man who nearly killed him ala The Dark Knight Rises.
Buut Pac only has what? 2-3 years left in boxing 3-5 matches left. why waste it on someone hes fought 4 times already right? Hell even Marquez has been pushing Mayweather to fight Pacquiao in the press lmao
That's the only fight left for Manny to make big bucks. I think it will break a million PPV if they fight again. I know my Mexican friends was saying they don't mind seeing PAC get KOd again by Marquez after Manny beat lots of their countrymen.
