Listen, I respect Toney for everything he has accomplished in the boxing ring. I had the honor to also spar with him while living in L.A. He broke me down like the sparring partner I was supposed to be. I also took the opportunity to dabble with Brazilian J-J...There is no doubt that to be a high level Pro Boxer, you need way more tech. boxing skill to make it to the top then an MMA fighter needs skill to make it to the top in their sport. Yet they are fighting with MMA rules. I can tell you now,.....If toney doesn't catch him while shooting in, he will be beat up pretty bad with ground and pound before Randy decides to choke him....what do you think?

Let's face it. Floyd might be fighting a smaller guy but he is fighting a smaller guy with a big hart that happens to be one of the best in the biz'. Real fight fans will watch that fight. Pac-man vs. Cotto? It doesn't get better then that! I don't care what the size difference will be on fight night. Now pavlik has agreed to fight the "Punisher". That's what boxing is needing! Styles make fights and reguardless of the size difference they all will be great fights! For the record...I still consider Williams a welterweight because the man can make the weight come the day of weigh-ins. period. I respect the man for willing to fight the best in several weight divisions..

The word that pops in to mind id denial.. O.K. we can never prove Margarito had loaded gloves when fighting Cotto, Cintron along with others. Does it matter? The man is a coward! O.k., the guy can take a punch...his head is like stone (Just like his loaded gloves). But how can you ever defend him on his previous wins if he was cold busted the way he was? As far as I'm concerned, he did use them in the Cotto fight and others. It doesn't matter if they're keeping the loss on Cotto's record and others. Any fighter that has a loss to Margarito has an * next to it in my eyes. Margarito's official pro-boxing record is....ZERO WINS, ONE LOSS BY BRUTAL KNOCK OUT! That's the only way a true fight fan should see it!

Please, someone explain to me why there's a lack of respect for Cotto on this site? Cotto is willing to fight anybody...Everybody he's fought he's beat! How can you even consider the fight with Margarito? lol..The guy was just found guilty of using plaster on his wraps!(give me a fu#$*%& break! To me Margaritos whole career is VOID! I'm amazed at the ignorant comments about Cotto taking a knee and that he quit. You don't become a Champion in 2 weight divsions being a quiter.....In my eyes he showed a lot of hart in that "VOID" fight. I guess you would have had to climb in the ring to undertand though. When Cotto walks in the ring he comes to fight. All his fights are entertaining and he shows much tech. skill in all his fights. He never bad mouthed his opponent and let's his fist do the talking....My opinion is he is the #1 w/w right now. He beat Mosley. Right? This shit about Mosley beating the man who beat the man is laim! Margarito is no man.....I like Mosley too. but i just think Cotto's the better fighter. He beat Mosley. Please explain your lack of respect. I can't wait to hear it!

Now Floyd is saying, Pac-Man is too small to beat him. So why did he choose to fight who he's fighting next? He's every bit as small. f#*$! Floyd Jr. I want to see two true warriors go toe to toe and Pac/Cotto would make a great fight! Both the Phillipino and Puerto Rican fans are the great and would create a huge build-up. Cotto is 5'7" on a good day, Pac 5'6-1/2". Pac now Holds the belt at 140lbs and Cotto has been there done that. It's time to see if Pac can go up to 147lbs and earn a belt there. I respect both fighters and who ever comes out on top then can go whoop Floyd Jr.'s @ss!

Everything that happened in the Marg-Cotto fight leads me to believe Marg used the plaster then. The way Cotto's face ripped apart and swelled, the way the tide turned as the plaster finaly hardened,(remember the plaster was damp when he was caught) and the conversation in Margs corner between rounds when they were asking about his hands. I don't recall what round but it was the first half of the fight. Check it! THE CONVERSATION PUTS UP A BIG RED FLAG!

I know it's going down this month but when? Just giving my opinion,....I think he will be found guity for something that hardens as it dries. I want to be wrong though....

Admit it....Oscar was not himself the night he fought Manny. He even looked unhealthy and lethargic during the last weeks of his training camp. I'm not impressed with manny's win against oscar. I am happy for him though. I am a fan of Manny's but I'm still not convinced he could handle the top welterweights. I think the fight with Hatton will be a great one! If he gets past Hatton, I will be impressed. He will be fighting the real deal! A guy who is truly the best L.W.W. not some cracked out shadow of a fighter they called the "Golden Boy." Get past Hatton and Mayweather is a must!

Margarito is a fraud! I thought he had hart, I thought he had will.....All he had was loaded gloves and being that he knew it made it easier for him to get through the trenches when he was eating leather. Just knowing you have that hidden edge allows you to recover easier, It's a huge mental advantage. I never thought he had a high level of skill or power. I just thought he had a big hart and a strong chin. Boy was I wrong! He has a coochy, ya a coochy! His chin is not all that either. His ass was tasting the canvis in the last fight, right? I do believe he had loaded gloves in the fight with cotto and other battles. I think after this thread we should retire his name for at least the year he's suspended. I am a forgiver though, and when his year is up his record will be 0 and 0 as far as I'm concerned.....he will never be on top again.

My opinion from the information that's out, is... he is going to be found guilty. If so, everything he has done goes out the door as far as I'm concerned because I'm sure he did it in other fights too. Everybody on this site that's been on Margarito's jock,......How do you feel about your boy now? "the most feared man?" lol.....I hope I'm wrong because I would love to see Cotto-Margarito #2.

I had Collazo winning the fight by a close decision. Ya! Berto.....he showed me alot though. He was tested big time and I was impressed by the will he showed in the last round. The last round was what won him the fight. He is not the best welterweight as of now but he is special and just needs time...You can teach skill, you can't teach hart.

The fight between Berto and Collazo,,,,,,,,,what a great way to start the year! I had Collazo winning by a couple. I don't have a problem with Berto getting the decision though. Especially after the last round. 116-111? That's getting ridiculous. I can't deal with this much longer and I'm sure many more of you are saying the same. I can assure you the MMA world is loving it though. They are benefiting from the obvious scams going on in the boxing world.

I never cared for Floyd but always respected his boxing skills. Mark my words..."Pac-Man can beat Mayweather!" They will fight and I'm 100% sure of that. They will be fighting for the "True pound for Pound championship belt of the world!" The fair thing and the right thing to do would be to fight at a catch weight of 143 just like has Roach mentioned. Pac-Man is faster then Floyd....again, he is faster! Floyd better not make any excuse that he needs to fight him at 147 because he is naturally a smaller fighter than 147 and only went there for the money. Us boxing fans deserve it! Pac-man decision in that fight.

When I say "golden" boy I mean he is the one that starts the turn around in the sport of boxing. 2009 is going to start off with a bang in this sport. Let's face it, DeLaHoya is known around the world by people who have never even been interested in boxing. This little giant devistated Oscar with amazing boxing skills. Yes, Oscar was a shell of himself but don't dare take any credit away from Pac's amazing performance. Just like Tito who didn't even speak English. People want to watch him fight because he fights with passion, honor, and weclomes true battles. He always is enteraining to watch and people respect fighters that carry the pressures of a whole countries honor on they're backs when stepping in the ring. Pac-Man is special! Next is Hatton hopefully in England. Trust me, even MMA boneheads will be paying PPV to watch that one. After that....can I say, Pretty Boy it might be time to get ugly.. When my 72 year old mother calls me in the morning to ask, "did you watch that amazing little Pac-Man last night?" That proved that there was something very golden about Manny.

Oscar came in 145lbs for one reason and one reason only! He knew days before the fight that Pac-Man was not even close to 147lbs. like has been stated and to make the fight more appealing to pay-per-view buyers he knew he had to shed an extra couple of pounds to make the fighters look closer in size. Also notice in the face off Oscar decided not to put on his shoes where as Manny did to make them appear closer in size during the face off.

It's just getting stupid at this point....Comments like, "it looked like a boy and a man were fighting each other"lol... and "Williams needs to fight guys his own size." To me these comments are WE-TAW-TED! They have WEIGHT divisions in the sport of boxing. THEY'RE NOT CALLED HEIGHT DIVISIONS! If you make the WEIGHT, you deserve to fight in that WEIGHT DIVISION! "PERIOD" You see, that's what makes fights intrigueing. Different styles are bred from different builds. "styles make fights" Tyson stood 5'11" with a pair of brand new shoes on. his short stature and short arms allowed him to be a recking machine in the inside. Williams uses his length but his length could be a problem if someone get's inside his long punches. It"s simple,...he's just good that's why he wins. I'm starting to respect williams more and more due to how he's comming back from his loss. If your 6'11" and make 154lbs you deserve to fight there. If you suck you will loose!

I liked what I saw from Hatton in the last fight. Sr. has improved his game. Hatton has put himself in a position to make alot of money bringing Sr. to his team. He is more versitile than ever! I would have loved for him to fight Floyd Jr. at Light Welterweight where they both naturaly should be fighting. I think he would have had a way better chance especially with Sr. in his corner. Sr. is one of the best trainers out there.

Why are there so many Cotto haters here? Cotto is the only Welterweight I know that has been open to fight anybody his people want to put in front of him. He has never talked shit or belittled any of his future or past opponents. He is the only fighter when loosing, refuses to come up with excuses, and he only lost once. On top of that he comends the guy who beat him. I know Margarito respects him, so why don't you? In the Welterweight division there are many good fighters. None are great! Floyd is the only one that could maybe claim the "great" title but he is not active as of now. Please explain why you dislike him so much? I'm just curious.....

I'm always saying if a boxer makes the weight, he deserves to fight reguardless of his height, reach whatever...(Paul Wiliams exsample). Oscar will make the weight but he is still fighting a guy who is climbing way up from his natural weight divisions to fight him.(enough of the small guys already!) Although I think Pac-Man has a chance, Oscar is the favorite. I would not like to see a Hatton- Oscar fight for sure!, although the money makes sence for them. I want to see DeLaHoya fight someone who holds a belt at 147lbs. next. Who will that be? Margarito? Cotto? The money would be there for that fight too....and that's what the sport of boxing needs! It needs to earn it's respect back of many true fight fans....

Now that Zab has dropped down, why not there be a Hatton-Juddah fight. It would be a explosive fight due to the styles. They both lost to Floyd in competetive challenges at a 147lbs. That's not their best weight anyways...they are both better fighters at light welterweight. I don't want to see a hatton-Oscar fight if Oscar wins, that's for sure!

Margarito and his team doesn't want to fight "The Punisher" because they feel they will loose! It's as simple as that....Cintron had a great record and only the one loss to Margarito. He was willing to fight him for the second time because he thought he could beat him in a second fight, but he didn't. Now he is fighting non televised undercard fights. That's what Marg is scared of... At least Cintron was willing to take that risk! I guess it doesn't matter anyways because Cotto will win fight #2 and he will be fighting undercards soon anyways..

I'm always stating that I think Williams is over rated. I do think that and because of his weak defense. Other than that he has many good things going on for him and maybe one day he will be one of the greats! One of the good things I appreciate is, he willing to fight anybody. I think he really thinks he is the best out there. I truly believe that Margarito and his team doesn't think that they are the best out there. That's why he is avoiding him, along with many other fighters and teams avoiding Williams. I'm going to start backing Williams but I still think he owes Quintana a rematch! Of course if he thinks he is the best.

There's are bums out there! Come on? Vitali fought a respectible fight against Lewis,but his face was tore apart. He lost due to an ass beating when it comes down to it. His bro would go to sleep by Lewis's power and the rest of the bumbs, well It's not even worth mentioning any names. Lewis would be the champ again if he came back. The sad thing is I don't even like him ....lol (by the way James Toney is the only heavyweight that's not a bum! He's earned his wings....maybe not as a heavyweight but you have to respect what he has done in this sport.

He definitly doesn't have the muscle mass he did when fighting welterweight in his prime, yet he doesn't look completly cut either. He has lost punching power dropping down and strength! He is going to have problems with Pac-Man.......If it gets past 6 rounds Pac-will chop him down with his intensity. It's official. I have Pac winning this fight!

Listen, I'm always defending MMA because I appreciate the sport. Boxing is my #1 sport though. I've had my fair share of throwing down in both sports and I can tell you to be a pro level boxer takes more skill level than it takes to be a pro level MMA fighter. In MMA you can get away with several mistakes in a fight even at the higher levels. In boxing, you make a mistake and chances are it's all over. There are several pro boxers in various weight divisions that with just 6months of solid jui-jitsu training they could compete at a high level in MMA. I don't know of any MMA fighter that could do the same in the sport of boxing.

Money is the name of the game in this sport. The ratings would be there....Tito, the heavy handed "has been" against Pavlick, the heavy handed "white hope". Both lost to Hopkins when all thought they were on top of their game and both come straight at you. I would assure a knockout in this fight. Who? Well, many would pay to find out. They should do it for that belt. That's Tito's true fighting weight at this point anyways. What do you think? I meant (Pavlik) by the way

Boxing is my #1 sport to watch and compete in. I do respect the skill involved in MMA also. There's many haters on this site that trash talk the sport of MMA. I just can't figure it out? I enjoy most any combat sport. True fight fans should also.....Tonight on Verses 8pm ET 5pm WT there will be an MMA event. A fighter named Urijah Faber 21-1 will be competing and stands 5'6" and weighed in at 144.5 lbs. Do yourself a favor, watch this fight! My question is, if Mayweather fought Faber in the Octagon with MMA rules and gloves, who do you think would win and why?

O.k. we all know Kimbo beat Mercer in a MMA fight. Who would win in a BOXING MATCH? o.k. so then who would win in a street fight. I'm not talking the bare knuckle boxing kimbo became famous with...I'm talking straight up street fight?

I know most hate the word MMA here. I happen to respect MMA fighters just as you would if you ever dared to fight one. Just for the record BOXING is my #1 sport. I grew up in a boxing family and had my fair share of battles in the ring. The sweet science is a very technical sport and anyone willing to climb in the ring, I respect. without a shadow of a doubt, it helps when in a street fight. You have to be crazy to think that boxing alone automaticly wins you all fights in the street.
