Admit it....Oscar was not himself the night he fought Manny. He even looked unhealthy and lethargic during the last weeks of his training camp. I'm not impressed with manny's win against oscar. I am happy for him though.
I am a fan of Manny's but I'm still not convinced he could handle the top welterweights. I think the fight with Hatton will be a great one! If he gets past Hatton, I will be impressed. He will be fighting the real deal! A guy who is truly the best L.W.W. not some cracked out shadow of a fighter they called the "Golden Boy." Get past Hatton and Mayweather is a must!
Nah man. Nobody gave Pac a chance before the fight. Actually, I say "nobody", but that's not true because some of us put bets on Pac. But really, it's easy to downplay it after the fact, but it is a great win no matter what. Awesome performance from Pacquiao if you ask me.
It's easy to pull down a victory and downplay it later. It was the same after Calzaghe-Lacy. How many people are saying now that Lacy ain't shit? Before the fight, he was THE man to beat at 168. Again, amazing performance by Calzaghe in that fight.
Hopkins-Pavlik? People now saying Pavlik is overrated garbage.
PS: Pacquiao beats Hatton.
Actually it was proved after Lacy lost to Cal that he wasn't all that. What has he done after that fight?
Your right, It is easy to downplay Manny's win over Oscar after the fight because when watching it over and over, you can obviously see Oscar had no business in the ring that night with any top level fighter. He just wasn't right. I give all the credit to Manny though for taking the fight. He is a great warrior and took the fight because he thought he could win. I was one of the few that thought he could pull it off and he did. He just got the win way easier than I expected due to the fact that Oscar was truly not the "golden Boy" that night. Oscar was pathetic mentally and physically that night. Don't get me wrong, Manny is the man. If he beats Hatton he will be on my top 25 of all time! If he beats Mayweather,..... he will be in the top 5!
