Since Crawford defeated Canelo I see all these cries for who Crawford should fight next. What's surprising is that most of these names never were being called out for Canelo to fight even though he had the same belts that Crawford has now. Why does Crawford have to fight guys that were never on Canelo's radar? Why is there a strong desire now all of a sudden for a fighting champion? All of a sudden Benavidez deserves a title shot?

Canelo is going to beat the hell out of Crawford. While I feel that Crawford is the better fighter, Canelo is too big and skillful. Just like Floyd, people are letting their personal feelings about Canelo overshadow his skillset. People are falling for the hype that this is some kind of 50-50 fight. This is going to turn into a Canelo type of fight after the 4th-5th round and then he is going to proceed to beat the crap out of Crawford.

These fights were horrible. Boxing is dead folks!!

This is downright horrible. I think that last year I watched the least amount of boxing I ever have in my adult life. Anyone else feeling this way as well?

Honestly who didn't see that coming? Not sure where the talk about this being some kind of major upset when we all knew that Haney had some issues. All of those issues got exploited.

I think that Canelo will and can beat him but it would to be tough. Benavidez is hittable and Canelo can work that body until Benavidez can't take anymore. Him dodging him is a pure sign of laziness. I don't think that Canelo is afraid of him per se but rather he knows that it's going to be tough. I doubt the Berlanga fights goes 7 rounds. As a fan of the sport and the technical side--I am not sure where this idea that Canelo would have no chance against Benavidez comes from. Benavidez' style seems to play right into Canelo's strength. It doesn't make any sense to think that Benavidez would destroy him.

It seems that it is viewed as a negative trait when a boxer is "basic". Why is that the case? What is wrong with being solid in all areas but not spectacular in one particular. I look at Haney and see no areas where he excels but some how he gets the job done. Should we show more appreciation for basic fighters?

Seems like every time a big fight is lined up something happens with this guy. Who exactly has he beaten to garner all of this hype?

We all knew that Charlo had no chance. Dude hadn't fought in 2 years and was jumping 2 weight classes. He looked scared all week. But this hyped up like some kind of 50/50 fight when we all knew that it wasn't. There are weight classes for a reason. We hard core fans never get the fights that we want to see. They both could have fought better opponents and give us 2 good fights instead of the crap we got Saturday. I hope that the both fight better opponents next go around or they will not see a dime of my money. It's kind of stupid that PBC would sign Canelo to a 3 fight deal and put him in a dangerous fight in the first one. If he would have taken an ass whipping then the value of that deal diminishes greatly. So are they going to feed him an easy fight next? Will he get the winner of Andrade/Benavidez. I am really curious as to how this is going to play out.

I like what I saw from Bulldog Cruz last night. I think that he would give Tank some trouble if not beat him this time. But my god either Cruz had no power or Cabrera has a titanium chil. That dude took some shots last night.

I am not understanding what the big deal is. Dude has earned that title shot and is the number 1 contender. What's the point of having rankings if no one is going to enforce them? Benavidez is good but I am not buying that monster of the division stuff. It won't be an easy fight but I predict that Canelo breaks him down in the later rounds. I hear a lot of the Canelo fanboys talk about who did he fight and that he just wants a payday--but how can one make that argument when he is ranked #1 and is a former champion? Canelo never showed any interest in the belt when Benavidez was the champion. It's like dude will fight any and everyone but the number 1 contender in his own division. How is Charlo worthy of a title shot when he has never fought in the division before? Dude could have at least picked someone in the top 10 for the division. Whether you are a Canelo fan or hater--this is not a good look for him. I am a fan of the sport--long before Canelo and long after Canelo and this is not a good look for the sport. No man is bigger than the sport. Let's be clear Canelo isn't the only one who does this.

Man I know that pride doesn't take punches but being totally regarded as a tuneup and then having the media and your opponent talk about the fight after yours just has to be a terrible feeling on a personal level.

If Canelo loses to GGG what would be the direction he would go in as far his future opponents? Would he then have to fight the bigger names and not his handpicked opponents?

What is the point of it all? Belts don't really matter, rankings, and mandatories don't mean anything either. Boxing is a joke!!

As boxing fans we know that there is more to boxing than 2 guys just slugging it out. The sweet science part is what draws us in. We are given a great disservice when boxers refuse to fight another boxer because "they don't like their style". That's the whole point of this thing is to unlock a guys style and beat him. Leonard Ellerbe did an interview last week where he was talking about how differing styles can affect fights. He didn't name the boxer (I am thinking Maidana) but he said there was a fighter that was rocking Floyd with hard shots due to his use of angles causing Floyd to have to adjust to that style. Now having said that I don't mind guys who have the same styles trying to beat the hell out of each other until someone can't get up. The I won't fight him because I don't like his style BS is shameful!!

There are reports that he will be fighting GGG next and then will fight Bivol for their rematch. Win, lose or draw there is no way at this point he can go back to fight guys the likes of Yildrim, Fielding or Makabu. I think that no one is going to be willing for pay to promote those types of fights going forward. From what I have been reading he was suppose to fight Bivol, GGG, then Ryder/Makabu. The loss to Bivol has now made the rematch his 3rd fight. There can be no B/C level fights at this point.

Dude is just as good if not better than Ryan but it seems that all Golden Boy cares about is Ryan Garcia. This kid is the truth. Very few has his combination of speed and power. I know that he is young but all this kid does is kick ass. Do you think that Golden Boy is doing enough to promote Ortiz?

Think about it..... he knows that the judges tried to give Canelo the fight and kept the score close when it should not have been. To compensate for this he might be overly aggressive with Canelo and Canelo will catch him. His trainers are going to have to keep him disciplined because you don't make mistakes against Canelo.

I am talking to fans of the sport not fanboys of certain boxers. Where do you all see the sport in the next 15-20 years?

The main guy is Demetrius Andrade. He has been calling out Canelo for years. He even fronted him at a post match event. But he uses being called out to get Valdez to fight Shakur?? Man you got to be kidding me!!!

Now if by some miracle Bivol beats Canelo--- do you think that Canelo would go straight ahead to the GGG fight or would a rematch with Bivol go into the GGG slot? Do you think that this is something that is negotiated in the contract?

I actually like Garcia but you got to be kidding me if this guy gets a title shot after not fighting for a year even with a tune up first. What the hell is the point of rankings and mandatories if stuff like this can possibly happen? If they fought and Garcia won how worthless would that be for the sport? People wonder why boxing is in the shape that it's in.

Dude is a boxer so every time he gets into the ring you wonder is this the time when he gets his ass handed to him. I would rather watch a Jake Paul fight than to watch Canelo or Tank fight bums who have no chance of winning. I love the sport more than I love any particular boxer per se. Due to all the BS in the sport we never get to see the fights we want to see so I say Jake Paul keep up the good work. At least he gives us fights were the outcome isn't a forgone conclusion before the bell rings.

He has fought Spence, Thurman, Broner, Brook (in his prime), Ugas, Garcia, Julio Diaz twice, Berto, Crawford, and he has fought guys in the amateurs who went on to be champs in higher weight classes. Dude can be proud because he fought a lot of top guys in their prime. He didn't win them all but he competed. His fight with Thurman was one of the best that I have ever seen. Dude is a fighter in every sense of the word!!

Was it me or when Teofimo Lopez and Canelo were standing together with the belts they looked the same size. I sitting thinking that these guys could fight. They looked damn near identical in size and weight.

Dude has taken some serious blows but he just waves them off. He took a shot from GGG that would have killed a normal man. Has he ever been hurt in a match? That's a part of his game that people don't talk about too much.

I mean this Rolly Romero fight is a joke. How long before he actually fights someone worth a damn?

We constantly hear how all of these guys are juicing but we hear very little about them getting caught why is that? Just like Tim Bradley came flat out and said the other day that Canelo was juicing. How easy is it to get away with juicing and if it is that easy why isn't everyone doing it or are they?
