One of those guys is among the most notorious boxers of all time & just recently has taken a shine to playing up to his role as the villain. Still very marketable.

Was about to post similar... Texas a no go all of a sudden because of support for Margarito when he was happy to fight in front of a hostile crowd in NY? wtf!
Honourable mention to Laurence Cole...
Whether it be the erroneous knockdowns of Pac Barrera 1, to the controversial JMM vs Jimrex Jaca ahead on the scorecards blunder, Not to mention the beating he let Pac put on Margarito! Im sure there's more i've missed...
Cole Your doing it wrong
Episode 1 was the best 24 7 i've seen...
I know that the 24 7 format is a massive marketing tool but it would be nice if they invested some time into the emotional rollercoaster that is the last 3yrs of Margarito's life, instead of making him out to be some cold hearted one dimensional thug! regardless of what most may think of him.
Because it was blatantly obvious what HBO was up to with the whole Cotto dad scene, just sayin...
I can see Cintron temporarily derailing Canelo just like he did Angulo...
Really depends on which version shows up, but im thinking at this stage of his career Cintron could provide Canelo with problems.
Very dangerous fight, but if he wants to carry that belt...
It's nerves, he doesn't even know what he's saying. Man enough to cheat? LOL cheating is a cowardly act so by definition it's the opposite of being a man.
Hahaha was thinkin the same thing, he's stuttering n contradicting himself more than what Margarito was in Face-off lol
Man enough to cheat that has to be a bad translation... wtf!
Imo the way in which Margarito wore Cotto down in the first fight, sometimes walking through his best punches and the constant pressure he applied... I feel the result would have been the same regardless of whether he had illegal wraps.
I like the way Cotto goes about it but I sometimes wonder if he needed to tell himself that Tony cheated so that he can justify in his mind what happened that night, btw this is not me having a pot shot at Cotto, because the possibility that Margarito did in fact tamper with his wraps is still there..
I know he probably won't but he should consider retiring, he was regarded as the lineal WW champ, (I know how most feel about that) & he's been in enough big fights.
His pride has got to be hurting though. losing to Cotto is devastating for him! they can paint the picture how ever they like ref stoppage etc, but most fans will regard the first as a tainted victory regardless of whether he did cheat or not..
His eye will be too much for him to overcome now, Its a huge bulls eye & with his limited defense...
"No disrespect to you Roy, but Marco Antonio Barrera is the smartest boxer I've ever met"
Lampley also got so excited that his mancrush was about to beat Hamed that he went with that over-the-top "Allah knows how to spell Barrera" quote, and actually spelled out Barrera's name.
Anyone remember how angry he was that the KD against Marquez wasn't called? It's true that it was a legit KD before the foul, but it took him a whole round and about 5 replays to finally admit that Barrera did hit Marquez when he was down.
Hahaha, gotta say the first thing that went through my my mind when I seen the thread title was Barrera - Hamed. Spelling out Barrera's name was almost as cringeworthy as his Bang Bang rant.
They'll talk about how Mosley's cosmetic surgeries has made him look younger inside and outside the ring. Meanwhile, Manny is force fed by Alex Ariza and can barely hold 140lbs on the scale while being distracted by congress.
Nah they won't be able to cover the cosmetic surgery aspect as Lil Floyd already cooked Sh!tty shane Mosley with the nose job
Phase 1 complete
Now we begin Phase 2...
The board reverses and now 50% believe Mosley can beat Manny.
Warning: Percentage may increase after 24/7 premiere
Gonna be interesting to see how 24/7 spins this...
I'll put my hand up & admit to thinking Marg had more than a punchers chance!
would i want it to happen? NO
would i watch it if it does happen? YES
i always buy big fights.
Agreed, plus its like watchin a trainwreck you know its gonna be brutal.. but you still find yourself wanting to look!
Richardson won't f**k around if Mosley is ready to go he'll throw it in..
But he's in for a beating probably gonna get stopped & will never fight again.
marg took his beating like a man instead of like kneegil quitto started back peddling after the 4th round
Interesting to see how both handled their respective situations as the fight changed for both after the 4th.
From Compubox:
The courageous Margarito landed 229 total punches. Pacquiao’s four previous opponents (Clottey, Cotto, Hatton and delaHoya) landed a combined 379 punches. Outclassed as he was, Margarito still established new standards of success against Pacquiao. He twice broke Erik Morales’ 29 total connects in a round in back-to-back stanzas (31 in the seventh and 34 in the eighth) and twice exceeded Agapito Sanchez’s 84 punches thrown in a round (85 in round two and 95 in round eight). He twice tied Sanchez’s mark of 52 thrown jabs (rounds two and nine) and topped Oscar Larios’ round three record of 24 power connects (29 in round eight) and 719 power punches in a fight (817). Finally, Margarito launched the most jabs of any Pacquiao opponent (505), breaking Larios’ 377.
Just thought I'd stoke the fire lads
Decent enough fight for Berto, but he's still picking on junior welterweights.
Call it a succesful dodge/duck of Cintron, which as a fight would have made more sense to me.
