The real sad part is Lara is so skilled and talented that he doesn't have to do that. He could've won the fight by putting on a boxing clinic.
Did he really think he was going to win the fight and get the decision by running the whole fight?
It was a close fight, but Canelo won. He was the aggressor, more active, and landed the harder shots. Lara ran the whole fight and Lara only landed 10 more punches. Lara was fighting off his back foot the whole night and ran every time Canelo landed a solid shot.
You're not going to win a world class prize fight fighting like that. Even Floyd knows that he needs to be the aggressor and sit down on his punches.
I wouldn't discount Manny even if his last fights have been pretty poor. I'd still peg him to out box the current crop of Top Welterweights. He'd only lost by KO, let's be honest. Brook showed how easy it is to outbox Spence (till he got worn down) and Manny is a master at boxing. I reckon Thurman is the only guy who can KO Manny.
Lol. Brook showed how easy it is to outbox Spence? :pat: Spence outboxed him and followed the game plan to perfection. He knew Brook wouldn't keep up for 12 rounds.
What has Manny done to deserve to be #1? How can you put him #1 when he hasn't fought anyone good in the last couple of years?
#becausehypejob
He needs to shut up and focus on his training. He was looking fat and saggy in the network promotion pictures. Fat boy should focus on training instead of running his mouth every day in the media about Canelo. Let your hands do all the talking.
Damn bro. You had to go back 6 years to find a video to support your claim? Lol. A fighter can't improve and get better as their body matures and they gain more experience with better training?
Golden Boy promotes Cotto fighting a guy with no wikipedia page while Oscar blames boxings current state on Mayweather.
Since when is Cotto a top fighter? He's past his prime and he is no longer one of the best fighters in the sport.
that's how i see it too. in the third round GGG started his engine and never backed down.
they don't canelo no favours with this kinda cards, people keep seeing him as a protected fighter, don't forget that 114-114 card vs floyd.
So Canelo didn't clearly win the last three rounds? :pat:
Im definitely confused why GGG wasnt throwing body shots, i understand not throwing them in the middle of the ring but when Canelo was tired against the ropes he rarely ripped the body
Why throw body punches when you know he's going to hit you back in the face? Little G was afraid of getting hit when he was throwing punches.
I think Sergio was on Peds when he was playing journeyman killa for most of his career. When he tried out a new level, he got exposed as the guy who looked amazing against Chavez Jr. Wow...
He lost to Cotto when he was clearly past his prime and his knees were done. How can he fight when he can barely move around in the ring?
Martinez would've beat him in his prime.
He is the most avoided fighter, Rigo a close second. Fury third.
Ward would get stopped and he knows it, I give him props for fighting Kovalev twice, but getting in the ring with GGG is a death sentence, the boxing world knows it.
Keep trying to rewrite history because everyone here knows Little G wanted nothing to do with Ward.
Well no, your entire post is mistaken. I guess people really view the tape differently but there's also a poll here on NSB where the clear majority say Kovalev won and the general outcry about the result you cannot just deny or brush off as 'nonsense'. A lot of observers view this as a robbery.
They can think whatever they want. At the end of the day, Kov should've done more in the 2nd half of the fight to make sure Ward had no chance of winning the fight.
They can cry all they want. Ward will take him to school in the rematch.
