Same here we've all got fighters we prefer to watch but all I care about is in the ring the rest is mainly promotion. Just want to see the best fighting the best boxing will always be here & I think the top fighters have a responsibility to make the big fights
I always believed he was using gear, his physique and performances made it seem to me like it was a dead cert. then he seemed to dramatically seem normal again.
Who believes he has used PEDS during his career? I think during his 2008-2010 peak he was on all sorts personally. What say you guys?
Like you said it was his peak years. Athletes hit a peak then slip off. your insinuating that Pac was that good and that improved at his peak that he must have been on drugs. this whole debate is a disgrace. an innocent man Pac gets more scrutiny and abuse about alleged drug taking than boxers that have tested positive.if he ever gets caught then he should be hung out to dry but he never has. where's the debate on punishment for positive tested boxers?

innocent until proven guilty he's never tested positive in his career. The biggest problem with drugs in the sport is the poor testing i agree with Mayweather with osdt. problem aswell is those who have tested positive have not been made an example of. They should bring in same penalties as Olympic athletes. strike 1 - 2 year ban. strike 2 - lifetime ban

Broner had about 300 fights. Experience as an amateur can obviously be a big help but isn't essential. Hopkins is a boxing master and he never had an amateur background. loads of Mexicans that didn't either that's how a lot have loads of fights by an early age they basically learn their trade in the pro ranks

a super 6 in 140
Matthysse, Khan, Garcia, Rios, Peterson, Broner
Alvarado/Judah/Allakhverdiev/Olusegun remplases
I like this 1 and it could actually be made apart from Rios

He's a greedy old man who has more money than he can spend before he dies and still wont make some big fights incase he loses out on some money. you think at his age he would just want to make the best fights possible but he's too stubborn. Promoters not working with each other turns fans away from the sport as they prevent the big fights from happening. that's what ufc have got right all under 1 promotional banner. Good job I truly love this sport and will be a fan till the day I die

ridiculous! I've always been a massive fan of both but Pacs punch resistance is gone and he's on the decline more than Marquez. Pacs style of fighting has less longevity than the style of Marquez

As strange as it sounds, this probably would have been the best thing for him. A win over Pacquiao would have more than made up for a loss over a tough opponent like a Castillo, and if he went on to beat Martinez people would have taken his greatest-of-all-time claims very seriously.
agree 100% he may have even fought Martinez at MW to try to win the lineal title

Garcia. His dad does go over the top with his insults and winding other fighters up but its definitely effective. It worked to perfection against Khan. I remember their final presser where Khan uncharacteristically vowed to KO Danny and it was clear Angel had got to him. Its all Justin get under fighters skin. I like Danny Garcia he's not the greatest skill wise but gets the job done and you got to love u.at left hook

It wouldnt mean a thing. Just like Roy Jone's "loss" to montell griffin didnt make Roy any less co cky.
yeah but Roy Jones took big risks all be it calculated risks like moving to HW to win the title from Ruiz

still watch it if it was on but all involved including Mayweather Pac and promoters are a disgrace to the sport and to the fans for this fight not happening when it was truly relevant

Klitschkos don't get the credit they deserve its not their fault there are no credible oppopnents out there. As they say it takes 2 to tango & the only way their fights would be exciting is if they have an opponent in front of them who can give them a challenge. Unfortunately the only fightes that are in their class are each other & i can't see them being round long enough for anybody to burst onto the scene to try to take their throne. All they've been doing for the past few years is beat whoever is put in front of them, which is all that can be asked of anybody really. Maybe they deserve some credit for maintaining their professionalism & their dedication to training when they're is nobody to give them a serious fight.
Can't blame Groves for talking like this he's a contender & the Froch fight would be fight in the UK but both Froch & Kessler are on another level to Groves. Can't blame Groves for sparring with Kessler either its good experience for him & what he needs. I personally like George Groves & can see him picking up a world title but not sure if a fight with Froch or Kessler will ever happen depends if these guys are still fighting by the time he makes it to world level, if he does
Cannot wait for this fight now. My heart is saying Froch but it really could go either way, depends if Kessler is the Kessler of old. Either way its going to be a great fight. Ward may be the best in the division but this is definitely the best fight in the division & can see a fight of the year. Come on Carl!!!
I do not see any form of Haye beating Wlad. Haye done everything he could, even the game-plan was probably right to some extent but it didn't work. Haye lacks the stamina, and has to low output to beat either Klitschko.
Totally agree I think Wlad would win 10 times out of 10 he's too big & strong & Haye isn't big enough to get inside. Haye has serious power but I think its a bit overrated at HW. He hasn't had a 1 punch KO at HW & doesn't really throw 4+ punch combos. I dont think haye will fight again I can't see the point unless he was still around when both Klitschkos retired thats the only way I see him getting his hands on any titles at HW again
kessler rematch is the fight everyone wants. warren is doing a terrible job promoting cleverly not having him fight enough or getting big enough fights for him. stop bluffing warren when you know froch has several fights already lined up. why not make the bellew rematch? would like to see cleverly leave warren personally i think Eddie hearn is the best British promoter out there

JUANMA 9 POST: (Somebody tell me how to reply to quotes!)A classic boxer vs. aggressor fight. Marquez counter punched. Marquez threw combination. Marquez showed ring generalship. He controlled the pace and had it his way the whole fight. Pacquiao, a brawler and agressive fighter who shocked the world with his power could not even stun his opponent.
I thought the 114-114 was a very generous card for Pacquiao clearly giving him the benefit of the doubt on several rounds. The 116-112 card was a disgrace. Interestingly enough, this judge was the only one who scored the final round for Marquez and had the other judges done the same it would have ended in a draw.Totally agree. Couldn't believe when the 1st card was read out as a draw I thought what fight was he watching but I honestly do not know how 2 professional boxing judges can see that as a Pac win! I love both fighters but it was clearly a Marquez victory. I feel really sorry for Marquez. He waits 4 years for the 2nd fight & I thought he won by 2 points but was close then waits another 3 years till he's 38 & fighting well above what is perceived as his best weight & puts in, in my opinion the performance of his career only for 3 dickhead judes to take it away from him. I love both fighters but for this trilogy to go down as a draw & 2 wins for Pac is a disgrace. Bring on fight 4! Can't see it happening though
Absolute disgraceful decision. Marquez clearly won. The judges are the only 3 people in the world, including Pac himself, that had anything other than a Marquez UD. I love both fighters & will always love boxing but its corrupt results like this that turn fans away from boxing. I was shocked when the 1st card got read out as a draw but how can 2 judges honestly watch that fight & hand on their heart have a Pac win. They must be on the take or blind. Everybody knows who won that fight. I've got 2-1 to Marquez on fights. In my opinion I think pac did just enough to win the 1st, had Marquez by 2 points in the 2nd & Marquez by much wider in this fight. Watched it twice already & still can't believe it
If this is true, is this injury career threatening?
its possible i fractured my scaphoid bone in my hand and it became non union as it wouldn't knit back together. had 11 surgeries since and have destroyed all the ligaments in my wrist and had it fused so it depends how serious it is. tony jeffries British boxer just had to retire due to hand injuries too
