DAVID HAYE was left frustrated and defeated as Wladimir Klitschko silenced his taunts with a unanimous points victory. Afterwards Haye blamed his defeat on a broken toe in his right foot suffered three weeks ago. The judges scored it 117-109, 118-108 and 116-110 to Klitschko.

man i hope haye doesn't retire. early in the fight, i thought we were witnessing the changing of the guard! the birth of a star! david's speed and feints were looking phenominal against wlad! you have to understand, wlad is a beast, a monster! and to see david, a cruiserweight, dropping his hands, slipping and ducking punches while talking to wlad was a sight to see. he brings an excitement to the heavyweight division even in defeat. david may not have cut wlad's head off but wlad didn't punish him like he vowed he would either. and please don't be blinded by hbo commentary. david moved, like the smaller fighter was supposed to. it was good fight imo. a skilled fight. not two lumbering giants in there throwing wild punches, thinking knockout with every swing. it was tactical. hats off to david for stepping up to the challenge and coming very close to the threshold of greatness. he comes out of this fight more elevated than klit imo. bad toe or not, he was the only one to seriously hurt his opponent during that fight. don't retire david! without you, we're left with two champions, fighting 2nd and 3rd-ranked opponents because they refuse to fight each other!
lmbo. both the above are invalid. David and greatness or even close too it dont even belong in the same sentence.. and u mean the 12th round wakeup call Klit had, then he took it too Haye for the next two minutes.

That's a nice fight but I would rather see Adamek vs Haye. But I think either smash him.
me too but since ademek is already fighting vitali that leaves arreola free. but yeah i think both smash him. adamek and arreola are way better skill wise IMO.
Honestly he should retire. With a toe injury like that his career could be in real jeopardy. When a killer like David Haye can't push off his most important toe to throw those hayemakers whats the point?
You guys saw that thing. It was nearly deformed. His career is probably over.
I do not see any form of Haye beating Wlad. Haye done everything he could, even the game-plan was probably right to some extent but it didn't work. Haye lacks the stamina, and has to low output to beat either Klitschko.
Totally agree I think Wlad would win 10 times out of 10 he's too big & strong & Haye isn't big enough to get inside. Haye has serious power but I think its a bit overrated at HW. He hasn't had a 1 punch KO at HW & doesn't really throw 4+ punch combos. I dont think haye will fight again I can't see the point unless he was still around when both Klitschkos retired thats the only way I see him getting his hands on any titles at HW again

Haye has said he just wanted (all your money) to fight Wladimir and after that he was retiring October 'cause he was gonna be an actor (that he already is just in case you didn't know). Now after getting the beating of his life from Wlad he "traumatically" forgot all that he had promised and suddenly doesn't know if he will fight again. i.e. he might not become a movie actor after all but just the "boxing actor" ( a la Stallone) that I said he already is. Now he might be wanting (your moneys again) to be the boxer that he has always dreamed of the squared circle ) so he changes his mind. Now if you still have some more money to spare for this ACTOR, i say THAT'S ALL UP TO YOU. I'm savin' my money for Khan. LOL.
Ah well I WAS WRONG HAYE LOST = WELL DONE CHOPPEREED !!!
Hey at least you are a big enough man to come on here say that. Most backers of Haye have dispeared from here and the few that are left are making excuses for Haye and exaggertating the the few punches Haye did thro,(one guy said that Wlad was out on his feet inthe 12tth round LOL).
Excuses/excuses....if your toe was hurt/broken there's something called postponment so you can fight at 100% ....not offer excuses...RETIRE...you are a disgrace to this wonderful sport...
Please don't retire yet, fight Vitali as I feel unsatisfied with his entire Heavy weight career and would love to see him laid out cold as his final farewell.....but it needs to be on free tv as I'm never putting another penny in that prick Hayes pocket.
WOW you really must hate Haye to want him to fight Vitali.(Vatali has got a mean streak, and Vitali really wants to damage Haye, let us not forget the neck choke incident in the restuarant).
I think the problem for Haye here is that he is still the villian. Let's compare this to Ricky Hatton. Hatton was backed by the whole of England leading up to the Mayweather fight. He had one of the largest followings for a English fighter ever. He didn't boast an excessive amount and did show the respect for Floyd. After Ricky was beaten by Floyd and there was still a demand for Hatton. He didn't come out with any poncy excuses and he didn't whinge. He took that defeat on the chin. He was still the fighting pride of England. There was demand for a Hatton homecoming, he was loved by everyone still across England. Now compare this to David Haye, is there really a demand for a 'Haye farewell fight' or a 'Haye homecoming'? not imo. His excessive arrogance and lack of respect has tarnished his chances of having England behind him.
A large degree of English fans wanted to see Haye loose last night. That says it all. Still a massive fan but time to hang up the gloves Dave. (And reimburse my 20£ bet -.-)
