A few things:
-Putting matches on network TV
-Having fighters (top fighters especially) fight more often
-Having a system where top fighters can eventually fight each other. What other sport can you have two top teams/players avoid each other? Can you imagine the Patriots being like "Nah, we don't want to face Seattle this year"
This may sound stupid; but you know what really annoys me....those freakin' bloomers they call boxing trunks that hang down past their knees. How can you have any movement with those things?!
Ask Floyd Mayweather.
I guess if you're a purist you would want to watch Floyd but if you're just a casual fan you would want to watch Roy Jones. Just look at his KOs. Some of them are just down right funny.
Merchant was asking if Mayweather thought that this fight was entertaining, if the fans got what they want, etc. Mayweather told him to stick to commenting and that Merchant always puts down his and other boxers victories.
It's pretty funny when people call Mayweather an asshole, loser, disgrace to boxing, etc. He has to play that role to try and boost up sales. What do you want, him and Oscar to be holding hands and hoping that nobody gets hurt on May 5th?
It can make a close fight more exciting because then everyone knows the fighters are close "visually" and on paper but how do you know beforehand if a fight is going to be close or not? You don't. From the fans point of view it's terrible. The only time open scoring should have been used was with Roy Jones Jr. at the olympics.
Business. In a sport where you can die or suffer serious damage you have to be patient, pick and choose your spots, and while at the top make as much in the fewest fights possible. Of course as boxing fans we would like to see the best face off against the best but this isn't other sports where that happens all the time.
I don't think this is going to be streamed... I'm looking on MyP2P and it shows Pac-MAB - Live! but it shows no link for Sopcast, TVU, PPStream, PPMate
