Can the fighters hear the commentators?

This may sound really stupid but I don't know :) I saw a video of Floyd Mayweather talking to the ringside commentators during a fight, can they hear them on most occasions then? :boxing:

They were talking about who would win the Superbowl between the Patriots and Eagles, and Floyd said Patriots.

jim lampley said "floyd, the steelers or the falcons?!" Floyd: "I like michael vick" on another occasion jim lampley said: "And floyd turns southpaw for the second time in the fight" Floyd said: "The third time" Jim: "I stand corrected floyd" LOL

Yea, that was classic. I'm sure most fighters aren't as attentive as Floyd is though. im sure floyd can hear every word spoken in that arena. I dont know if you've ever had your house broken into while you're actually there, but its happen to me a couple of times and ive trained myself to hear everything when i sleep. sounds wierd but ya.

he was talking with jones during the bruseles(sp?) fight roy asked him what's his favorite nfl team or something and while fighting floyd answered him Yea, that was classic. I'm sure most fighters aren't as attentive as Floyd is though.
