I still voted Amir for obvious reasons.
Do you still not understand the concept of a poll ???
Would you like me to explain it to you again in a simplified manner ???
this is round 2 . im in the blue .
i kno this is in training and nutrition but barely any1 goes on tht =/

Very impressive.
You have alot of potential.
Keep up the good work !!!
I think he has lost his last 3 fights.
No shame though - he has taken on 3 very good opponents. Imagine how good boxing would be if everyone took on tough fights like Alexander. Credit to him.
It's not his fault the judges have given him the nod.
He's a very good young fighter, and he will only improve.
I thought Macklin won. Some of the rounds were extremely close and very difficult to score. There was no robbery though - close fight and very entertaining.
She may be a gold digger, but I hope he's at least hitting that more often than he tried to hit Pac. And less often than Mayweather hits his women.
Just gotta find that right balance.
Haha ... quality post.
Horrible style matchup for Froch.. i am a huge fan but Ward will have his number sadly
That's what I'm afraid of.
Ward is incredibly skilled, athletically gifted and extremely clever in the ring. He only cares about winning and he doesn't care how he looks doing so.
He is going to be very difficult for Froch to beat.
i got no fights man thats why am asking what the hells up.. and man if your for real id be there in a flash cause **** is getting ridiculous.. i live in the u.k though
Where in the UK are you from?
What club are you at?
Let me know your age and weight, if we have anyone at our gym suitable, I can match you with them (as soon as the season starts, of course).
i aint sayin what club im at cause to be honest i dont even want to be on here talkin about this.. but you seem like you know what your talkin about so answer me this. how many fights can you get per season? its just september is so far away and i got alot to do. im welterwieght by the way
TBH... I'm not sure how many fights you can have per season - I ought to know really. I think you should expect your coach to get you at least 3 per season (but I would say 5-8 is about average).
Things is though, your coach probably knows what he his doing, and I suspect he doesn't think you are ready. You may think you are good and you may do well, but your coach has his reputation to think about, and if your skills are not upto his standards, he may think it best to wait so it doesn't look like he's a **** coach. You may be very strong and extremely tough, and he may think you have a good chance of winning, but he will look like a pudding if you go in there without a good grasp of the fundamentals.
Another thing too, I have had lads asking me to get them fights after just a couple of weeks/months of training. They have generally done a few rounds with an experienced lad who has took it very easy on them (or with another beginner that they can beat), and they gain confidence, not realising the other lad was giving them a chance - but I know it wouldn't last a round if the experienced tried his best.
Trust your coach, he's probably had hundreds of lads through the gym door, and he will have a good idea when you are ready. Remember, one of the aims of most coaches is to produce boxers to compete. They want you to box, that why they are training you.
Have you had a medical yet?
How old are you?
Good luck pal.
Watching the Berto-Quintana fight I saw Berto get stunned by a shot Quintana with the left. He recovered but Quintana had nothing else for him.
Ortiz is strong, fast and has pop from the lefty stance. Ortiz's jab will also be a problem for Berto. I think Ortiz will handle 147 just fine.
Ortiz stops Berto.
Putting up points as well.
Ortiz WILL stop Berto before round 6.
It was a taunt, not a fukking command. FFS!
Do u really think they planned it before hand that Haye would have to tell Harrison when to go down??
Harrison was badly hurt and was stopped on his feet. Thats not a fukking fix!
Agreed.
The level of stupidity in this thread is beyond belief.
If it was fixed, then surely Audley would have thrown some punches as he would know Haye wasn't going to knock him out till the planned time (i.e. round 3).
Not trying to be a bell end here, but in all honesty ...
You have potential, however, you certainly need alot of work.
As others have already noted - lots of very basic mistakes
My advice would be to focus on technique (not speed / power). Speed and power will come in time.
Good effort though !!!
Cotto finished? WTF is wrong with you people? I guess this is why I don't even come into NSB anymore, this place is fukin retarded.
He might be the world beater some thought but he's a damn good fighter and I think a change from trainer will help him out a lot. Sometimes a fighter just needs a change of scenery, something to get them away from the distractions he had before.
Cotto is a tough fighter and will give anyone a hell of a fight.
Good post ... completely agree !!!
I had it as a split decision in favour of kessler. But no way should it have been a unnamious decision.
How did YOU get a split decision mate ?
A split decision occurs when 2 judges score the fight in favour of boxer A, and 1 judge scores it in favour of boxer B i.e. the judges (x3) are split.
If he does fight Ward i think it should be in the UK. Has Ward ever gone up against a hostile atmosphere?
The atmosphere for the second Kessler fight wasn't too harsh because Kessler is well known by British fans and the majority of us actually like and respect him.
Ward would face an extremely hostile atmosphere.
I want to see how he deals with this.
If that is what you believe then good luck to you but please respect that there are those who believe otherwise, those who speak from their benefit of actual experience. And their opinions, just like yours should not be dismissed regardless of the site they are posting on.
Oh and I for one don't agree that they or anyone should keep their experiences, thoughts and opinions about boxing to themselves. Particularly given that that is the point of this thread.
Thankyou for your views in any case.
Haha ... He's being sarcastic mate.
Rock'in is one of the most experienced / accomplished boxers (or rather ex boxer) on the forum.
Anybody remember the fight where the ref actually stepped in and warned one of the fighters for punching the other guy in the face? Like, warned him for doing what he was supposed to do?
It seems like it was an HBO fight, and Lampley was going nuts, but I can't remember if that's correct or not. Anyone know the fight I'm talking about?
Robin Reed V Sven Ottke ?
