Normally when it comes to Froch, Khan, Haye etc, I want them to win regardless of who they are fighting, because I'm British and have always supported British fighters. I don't think there is anything wrong with a little bit of nationalistic pride and supporting your own adds excitement to the competition especially when against a rival nation. However, for some reason I'm not really feeling like that today. I'm just hoping to see a good fight between two warriors. Froch vs Abraham promises fireworks and is a great tribute to boxing and boxing fans worldwide. I don't mind who wins just as long as both men leave everything in the ring and give boxing fans a pugilistic treat. The sport has been marred recently by several fighters who have either prevented big fights from happening, put on poor negative performances, or feigned injury to duck an opponent. These series of events haven't been good for the sport, nor for the fans. So tonight and in the future I'm putting nationalistic tendencies aside and hope that the best man wins. As long as both fighters put on a great show, they will each get full and unreserved credit from me and hopefully all of boxing.
So boxing scene, put your hate and bias aside for an evening and enjoy the show. Every thread titled - Haha Froch got KO'd, or Abraham was overrated kills the sport just a little bit.
WAR BOXING!!!
