If he does fight Ward i think it should be in the UK. Has Ward ever gone up against a hostile atmosphere?
The atmosphere for the second Kessler fight wasn't too harsh because Kessler is well known by British fans and the majority of us actually like and respect him.
Ward would face an extremely hostile atmosphere.
I want to see how he deals with this.
If Ward is willing to go to the UK, and the purse split is reasonably, then it's a duck.
Conversely, if Ward is unwilling to go the UK, and had a fair offer /
a fair share of the purse, then he is the ducker.
I like Froch, but he will be hard pressed to beat Ward no matter where it is.
His only chance is to simply outwill Ward and just keep coming and coming till he wears Ward out. If anyone has the heart, chin and stamina to do that, it's Froch, but he'll pay a big price in the early rounds before he has any success at all.
So I guess he should have let froch disrespect his style and not reply. He merely was answering froch.
The interview didn't come off like that at all, he was asked about what he thought of the fight.
Is a shame because he is a great fighter.
Even tho they already fought it is still a duck because of the lopsided loss for Froch, he will avoid schooling. Which i dont blame him.... take kahn vs prescott for instance.
Yes, 100%.
Not even arguable.
You don't go and beat the ranked number 1 (Bute) then ranked number 2 (Kessler) super middleweights in order not to have a crack at the champion. Even if its in the states, Froch has nothing to lose, but everything to gain. Does he want to be champ? Or does he lack the ambition? He has other options, but those options will still be there even if Ward dîcks him.
If he knows he can't be Ward, fair enough, but it is a duck.
Its been 2 days. What the hells wrong with you people? This isnt soccer, baseball, or football with a set schedule. Now people are gonna spend the next several months making pointless threads about Froch from his fans and his haters. How can you say anybodies ducking when its been 2 days?
The whole Wembley business won't happen though, people in England know who Kessler is through fighting Carl before and fighting Calzaghe.
In reality most casual boxing fans over here would probably only know Ward due to his arrogant post fight analysis where instead of praising the fighters for going to war he decided to push his own agenda in a way that made him look like such a tosser.

I'd love to see that. It would make the fight much more interesting. I wouldn't blame Ward if he refused to fight in the UK though and it has nothing to do with Froch getting home advantage.
I'm in the no camp for this.

Ward would still win admittedly.
