I really felt Clottey let the fans down. I paid $54.00 for that. And for most of the fight, it just looked like he wasn't going all out and wasn't trying to win the actual fight.
He was more content on lasting the distance, and taking no risks and no damage. And was happy to hear the bell and collect his money!
:nonono:
He just should of opened up more and threw more shots, because when he did, they had some effect. He should of took more risks, those who DARE to be great.
you underrate paulie severely. I dont like his guido ass and he wouldnt be able to hurt anyone even if they put plaster in his gloves but the man has the ability to box circles around any 140lber in the world.
I wound't got that far. Paulie has done well to get were he has got, he's a overachiever. Khan, Bradley, and Alexander, would beat him..
I think you have to be physically gifted in most cases. Guys like Cintron and P. Will had very little amateur experience but both of them are insanely physically gifted.
I think it's possible for non-physically gifted people too, but you would have to engulf yourself in the sport for years. Your life would have to revolve around it.
What makes, you think Cintron is physically gifted? He's not really tall for his weight, he's pretty average height, not really big legs, and average shoulders.
His body frame is what gets him all that power. Seeing him in the streets you wouldn't know he could probably knock out a lot of ppl because he's thin.
No a body frame dosent get you power. Punchers are born NOT MADE.
Punchers come in all different shape and sizes. And it has nothing to do with what type of build you have.
If punching power, came down to Physical attributes, then why isn't Valuev a big puncher?
Did you not get the thin memo I said? And yes, a body frame can get you power. Tell Hearns and Julian Jackson that ir doesn't and they'd laugh.Or tell Tyson his short compact frame didn't help his punching power. Of course punchers come in different shape and sizes, that's what I was saying when mentioning he was thin.
Think about what you type before posting, you got it completely wrong.
No your talking shit. Cintron's build has nothing to do with him being a big puncher, he was born a puncher.
Punchers are born not made. You need to learn more about the sport.
I think with Cintron he is refering to his strength and power.
I assumed he was talking about his height, reach, build. Which is what physical actually means.
lol has there ever been a champion who had no amateur experience? thatd be interesting to know!
Yes. Dwight Muhhamad Qawi, Wilfredo Vasquez Jr, Joey Giardello, all had no amateur background and became world champions.
Nice, different thread.
Jermain Taylor
Arturo Gatti
Glen Johnson
Junior Jones
Hasim Rahman
Sven Ottke
Thanks man........Just trying to put some freshness into BS NSB! And talk about something other than Manny or Mayweather.......
You should post on the history section more........
He lost to Saddler who lost to Elorde who Manny is considered greater than. If your talking about overall lb for lb. I think Manny beats him in the ring..
No. This isn't who would win in a FANSTASY FIGHT, it's who do you belive is greater.
Really? I stopped going in there a while back because it just seemed dead all the time.
To be honest if it wasn't for the Aussie Forum I doubt I would even bother with this site anymore.
Yeah, I agree it is quite dead all the time, but's it's slowly picking up. But what do you like about the aussie then, that forum is always completey dead.
The history sections has some great disscussions and posters..........
All I know IMO Pep is the greatest defensive fighter of all time, the man won a round without throwing a punch FFS's. Only Locche and Whitaker could match Pep slickness. And, he is in the top 5 greatest fighter of all time IMO.
He never. That's just a myth, and it never happened.
One of the most skilled and naturally talented amateur's I've ever seen.
So skillfull and slick, shame he has come up short at 2 Olympic games.
Would of liked him to turn pro after the 2008 games.
