'Nowhere in the WBA rulebook does it say pushing isn't allowed'... Dear me... Is Khan serious? He's been boxing since the age of 10... When has he ever learnt to push an opponent in the gym?
Anyway, I thought Khan won the fight but the decision is OK as it was very close. Khan also got a point for the KD when I thought both of them were trips. There were times when he was also literally running away from Peterson as he has absolutely no inside game whatsoever.... That's a big no-no when facing a home fighter.
Agree that was very poor sportsmanship if I remember correctly. You can't blame Mayweather for being professional about it but I agree, call him classless all you want.
I thought Ortiz was doing very well towards the end of the fight and deffinitely getting the better of Floyd. Shame he's nothing better than a street fighter with the attention span of a goldfish and deserved to be KOed as such.
Good on Floyd.
lol @ UFC.
The top stars earn a pittance compared to the top boxers. Like someone said earlier - if they had the skills they'd come to boxing to make their money but they often don't. A bunch of skin heads doing eight different things in a mediocre fashion rather than a few things expertly - as per the top boxers.
Chisora is forgetting about the jab on the way in he needs that to set up other punches he can't keep going for the 1 big punch.
Totally agree. The jab is working well for Chisora.
The ref is breaking them too early IMO. Vitali wanting to hold now as well.
When did this happen?
Just before the fight... Right before the staredown. Wlad and Chisora were staring down and Chisora just spat water into his face haha. Dear me.. childish!
Hopefully Bute takes less but still good money and fights a lesser name in Montreal... Green perhaps?
Froch-Kessler in Nottingham is surely the future now.. I hope anyway!
LMAO i know. Well I only really had it that one time with Trinidad then i got that same feeling with Froch haha. Im glad i was wrong though.
So I am!
I've been banging the Froch drum for ages now. Awesome fight - totally exposed Bute's condition.
1. So why should Mayweather go down in weight for someone who called him out?
And Floyd accepted that challenge. Hence the negotiations for a fair fight should commence....
Mosely called out Floyd, Margarito called Floyd out to his face... but Floyd didn't want to know. He only wants to know about the featherweights.
Vitali is right - Valuev vs. either Klitschko is a fight MOST boxing fans have wanted to see for year.
It would be interesting to see if Vitali could fell the giant!
THIS.
People just want to know how loud it would be....?
When 300lbs of Russian giant hit the canvas.
Fairly even. I think Morales was more devasting in his prime and holds and excellent win over Manny as well as his host of other great victories. I think Barerra just had the style to beat him (which he did really 3 times).
Pacquaio started boxing to earn money so he could eat.
He didn't have a boxing family, with a father and uncle who are great boxing trainers. He didn't have his younger years filled with boxing, filled with amatuer experience and an Olympic medal.
This is what is so great about Manny - he is truly a rags to riches story. This makes me respect him more than Floyd. Capturing the Flyweight Lineal title at 20, getting knocked out twice, coming back, moving up, capturing 3 more lineal titles up to 140 in truly devasting fashion. The guy is a legend.
Williams needs to have a few more at Welter. It's obvious he still wants to go back there for a big fight. I mean coming in at 157 for a middleweight context nowadays is bizare considering his size. 10 more pounds and he's back with the WW again.... who will duck him as well no doubt.
