Everyone here was gonna discredit that win had it been at a catch weight of 143-144, so regardless, I really don't mind.
1. So why should Mayweather go down in weight for someone who called him out?
2. Why should it matter that it isn't at a catchweight, when he wasn't gonna get any credit, why?
:haha:
I'm just want to see where Mayweather is at and hope we get to see Baby Bull vs Guzman on the undercard :D

Floyd gets credit with me. he's a great con artist. he bait-n-switched jmm bad. lols
Considering Shane's big win over Margarito early this year, I have not seen one person saying Floyd beating Shane means nothing now.
But Floyd asking Marquez to fight at 147 when inevitably Floyd is going to fight WW's is just a sign that he wants huge money even for a tune-up. He needs someone else with him to generate some buzz and being there aren't any WWs with a name available, he took the next route which is the #2 fighter in the world who happens to be a Lightweight.
I've been following Boxing for many years and though I'm a fan of Floyd as a fighter, he doesn't fit the mold of a champion who takes the big challenges.
No one is bashing Floyd for fighting Shane ...PRE FIGHT..but trust me...POST fight would be a lot DIFFERENT!
are you really going to blame Mosley not fighting Mayweather (then a nobody) and jumping a weight class and fighting De La Hoya, a man who was considered a better fighter at the time and was the bigger fight??
I swear you Flomos have no shame..
First off, I wasn't blaming Mosely. I was giving the REAL SCENARIO. As I said, I like Mosley so I wouldn't bash him for the fight NEVER coming off. From what has been REPORTED, Mayweather and his team was interested in fighting Shane at 35, but Shane was REPORTLY not interested. Then, May looks to fight Shane again, but Shane wanted time off and he said that he had a tooth ache AFTER the Vargas fight. Then, after May beats Oscar Shane wants to fight him, but May wasn't interested. As I said, NEITHER DUCKED EACH OTHER, but the fight just NEVER came off.
I would have preferred the fight to happen BACK then at 35, when Shane was PRIME. If they fought now and Floyd won, I don't think he would get much credit AFTER the fight. Thats how I feel and I'm sticking to it.
it's a tuneup.
floyd just wants to get back in the ring.
his goal is manny.
that still makes him a coward
his goal should be cotto, clottey or mosley..
you think pbf cares whether guys on a forum will give him credit?
lmao
he just wanted the easiest , big money fight possible.
P4P, I'd still see this as a mismatch, people argue that JMM shouldn't be seen as a tune up, I disagree there. Atleast we can agree on that Tua Man
Its funny how Floyd is ducking Shane, when Floyd was ringside at Shane's fight with Vargas, and when May asked him about the fight, Shane said he had a tooth ache and wanted to go on vacation. Now I like Shane, a lot, but if you are going to bash Floyd for "DUCKING" Shane, then tell the WHOLE story. Anyways, IMO, that fight should have ALREADY happened at 35, when Shane was younger and in his prime. The fans will call for that fight, then May will win, then NSB will bash Floyd for calling out and fighting an OLD Shane Mosley...it NEVER fails! :thumbsdow

Who would bash him if he fought Cotto or Williams?
I dont think anyone would PRE fight..but after the results of the fight, the bashing would come ROLLLING in!
Really am I wrong? I called this fight a tune up from the start
ALOT of people here on boxingscene said they wasn't gonna give him any credit, Mayweather is in the same boat as before.
Man, you know you're making a lame attempt at justifying this. Be real. I love Floyd, but this is bullshit on principal. The outcome won't change, Marquez gets KO'd at 140, 144, or 147, it's just the principal, the mentality of Floyd. It's really fukking lame.
This is the first thing Floyd has ever done that I actually have a problem with.

I gave him a pass........at 144 ..............considering his retirement and JMM calling him out..........but at 147......he should fight a real WW............prove me wrong........................
It is a tune up, JMM never stood a chance, he was never gonna beat Floyd. The only thing JMM will get out of this is good money. In the end, JMM still has a whoppin coming for him

Co-sign homey. Mr boat buyer's cocksuckers don't care. They'd defend him if he burned their fukkin houses down.
Whos defending him? LOL, you guys make it out as if were all against each other. **** all that shit.
Fact is, theres been at least 50 threads in the last 4 weeks critisizing Floyd for making the fight happen, but all of a sudden because the fights at 147 you guys are making out as if you accepted it in the first place, when you clearly didnt.
Like i said, Mayweather cant win.
Really am I wrong? I called this fight a tune up from the start
ALOT of people here on boxingscene said they wasn't gonna give him any credit, Mayweather is in the same boat as before.
Unlike urself, i really couldnt give a shit. I'd prefer the fight at 144 but it ent as bad as you guys are making out.
This affects you more than me.
And plus, how many hate threads have there been about the fight even taking place? Now all of a sudden, the flamers didnt mind the fight being at 144 but now hate him because its at 147?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
What a load of bullshit, FLOYD CANT WIN. Hence why i dont give a shit what you guys say no more.

And Floyd accepted that challenge. Hence the negotiations for a fair fight should commence....
Mosely called out Floyd, Margarito called Floyd out to his face... but Floyd didn't want to know. He only wants to know about the featherweights.

mayweather even if he wins by tko will get more stick than credit for making marquez (fan favorite, legend) move up 2 weight classes, this isnt even funny.
At 140..most def............at 144..............maybe...........at 147 .....HELL NO
Why, he was getting badly beaten at 135 and isn't even established at 140.
