We're all twisted individuals in one way or another when you consider we enjoy watching sweaty half naked men beat one another into submission time after time.
Yeah because when I watch boxing and MMA, the first thing I think about is how sweaty and naked those men are. Wow, your suspect just for describing it in those terms.
Boy I ain't never been so fire up, let me tell you. Novemba the four, yall. Get them tickets fast. On Novemba the four, we sayin a prayer before it all go down. The Lord finna protect us. Cus he know I'm a give Bumane some good ole fashion Alabama ass whoopin. I'm a beat him so damn bad til even his momma don't recognize him. I ain't even playing. And when he be in the hospital I'm a send my personal chef to deliver him a basket of homemade buttermilk biscuit, baked grits, fried chicken, and coleslaw. Cus the man deserve a damn good hot meal after what I'm a do to him. May the Lord have mercy on his soul, amen. Damn Deontay, if you whoop him bad enough to where he's in the hospital then I'm pretty sure he's not going to be able to eat foods like fried chicken and biscuits. If he can eat those type of foods, then you didn't do your job because you have to be able to open up your jaw wide for fried chicken and chewing on biscuits. Maybe if you said I'm going to whoop him so bad he's going to be in the hospital getting fed through a tube or a IV, then I'll accept that. Either way, it's Bermaine Stiverne, I wouldn't be going around bragging about it champ.
Pathetic fight. Hell yeah this is why the Heavyweights and Wilder for that matter are not the top draw anymore. Especially since Klitschko retired. Stiverne is damn near 40 years old and Wilder is fighting him again? I for the most part always root for American fighters but I hope Joshua knocks Wilder out or I'd take a UD too whenever they do fight.
salido is tbe? Of course Salido is not tbe, come on man, but he was a proven veteran legit Champion with many fights and rounds under his belt when Lomachenko decided to fight him in his second damn fight. That alone is crazy I don't care how many amateur fights the dude had. But yeah there is no way you compare Rigo beating Lomachenko with the top fighters Mayweather. Even Cotto alone would be greater. It might be a different story in ten of twelve years down the road when we see what kind of legacy Lomachenko left behind.
LOL @ Rigondeaux and Lomachenko even being mentioned in the same sentence as Money Mayweather. Joke thread. Very funny yet obvious trolling. I don't agree with the thread either, at all, but damn just because the dude has a different opinion than us, or says something you don't agree with doesnt mean the dude is trolling. By that logic, anything you say that someone else disagrees with is considered trolling. There's a huge difference in someone give a their opinion and someone who is a legit troll. Chill a little!!

Can anyone confirm another fighter who has accomplished this minor yet unmatchable feat? Sorry man, the golden boy used to be my fav fighter but no way in hell did he best Mayweather. I actually thought a SD was a bad decision. I could have lived with 116-112 twice for Floyd and finally throw in 115-113 for Floyd just to make the die hard Oscar fans feel a little better about themselves. Oscar was getting nailed by that lead right, especially in the second half.
Exactly. Conor is marketing himself. Many boxers should learn this.
Whats funny is when an MMA dude does this, MMA fans show support. When a boxer does this, for example Broner, fans get all uppity and say hey, you can't act like that.
Bad mistake using Broker as an example. He's about a big a idiot as your ever going to see. He tries WAY too hard to promote himself to the point he embarrases himself and add the fact that he got his ass kicked twice. McGregor is the real deal that's why he's so successful.
Denis Lebedev last week.
Cuellar this week.
WTF!!! Are you serious with this thread?? Robert Garcia went 0-3 one night not too long ago. All trainers lose, especially ones like Garcia and Roach who train several fighters. All the great trainers including Nacho, Steward and many others have nights where their fighters all lose in one night. A waste of a thread that makes no sense. Even if it wasn't about Roach and was about some other trainer it's still a ridiculous topic to ask if a trainer is done because two of his fighters lose.
Freddie Roach is an offensive coach. He suits better to fighters that are naturally agressive in fights. And Cuellar looks like Idk. Look at Tommy Harisson's son, he looked like a beast in there and people saw the improvements when he hooked up with Roach.
You mean Tommy MORRISON'S son?
Absolutely. Don't forget he lost with Postol badly as well. Lebedev, Cuellar, and the dude Lipinets fought earlier was also trained by him.
Keep in mind other than Postol and the dude Lipinets fought, Lebedev and Cuellar were favorites.
If I recall he's 1-4 in his last 5 fights. With Pacquiao being the only guy winning for him.
This is very reminiscent of the 2012 year where Linares, Khan, Pacquiao, Chzvez Jr. all suffered really bad losses.
Yeah the fact that Crawford is a top 5 P4P fighter had nothing to do with him thrashing Pistol did it? I don't care if Angelo Dundee trained Postol he was not going to beat Crawford. Same with Mares. Anyone who knows boxing knew Mares was going to box the hell out of Cuellar. If your going to blame a trainer for his fighter losing then you better prepare to put him on a pedestal when his fighter wins. It's all BS anyway. For the majority of fighters, and there are exceptions, but the majority of fighters who dominate the sport would dominate no matter who their trainer is. If Roach trained Mayweather he would still be undefeated. But there are a few fighters who after getting the right trainer were able to end up becoming great fighters.
Ortiz is an idiot. Protect yourself at all times.
Anyway, Ortiz didn't belong in the ring with Floyd in the first place. Crappy fight and Ortiz would've eventually quit in the later rounds.
Hell yeah I agree. He would have gotten frustrated and probably would have pulled a Oliver McCall and started crying saying he didn't want to fight anymore.
I'd love someone to show me when He signaled to box?
He was not paying attention, and was looking out of the ring
THANK YOU!!! That's the whole reason I started this thread people keep saying he signaled to box but damn I've watched it multiple times and I do not see where he signaled to box. If Cortez was honest with himself and everyone else he would say that he still had them on a break and was looking at the timekeeper letting him know he was about to restart the fight. Once he got knocked down Cortez didn't know what the hell to do and no way was he going to disqualify Floyd so his retarded ass just started the ten count. That's my take on what really happened.
I think he's definitely a Modern great. He had a ATG chin and was a slick defensive fighter but in my opinion he lost too many fights in his prime that he shouldn't have and even had one or two "gift" wins in fights that he certainly didn't win. Especially that white dude that beat him in his prime Dave Tiberi. Even Toney admitted he lost that fight. ATGs don't lose fights like that. In my book to be a ATG you have to have the self-discipline throughout your career like a Bernard Hopkins or Mayweather type discipline. Toney came into too many fights either unprepared or just flat out out of shape but when he was on his game he was very tough to beat. If he had a different mental make up then I think he had the talent to be an ATG but unfortunately self-discipline and 110 percent dedication to your craft is definitely a requisite to be an ATG in my book.
He ran?? It's called sticking and moving and he outlanded Canelo which he couldn't have done if he was truly running. De la Hoya vs Trinidad rounds 9-12, that is the definition of running.
Not everybody likes every dude who comes from a boat from Cuba to Miami bro.. Your exactly right. No doubt you have to be a certain type of boxing fan to appreciate Lara's skillset. Having said that, as boring as that fight was, the end result was Canelo could not time or find Lara at all that night. It wasn't a obvious victory for Lara but he controlled what Canelo did and I think he actually outlanded him in the compubox numbers. He didn't "beat" Canelo per say, but he did enough to "win" the fight.
Lara and Trout both beat Canelo. As much as I like Cotto I was fine with a 116-112 or even 115-113 Canelo over Cotto but Trout, and especially Lara beat Canelo.
None of those guys said, Im mexican and im scared of nobody I want to fight GGG next, then tried to pretend he never said it and dropped the belt.
EXACTLY!! That's the point I was making, you cannot call a boxer into the ring and say his infamous "Mexicans don't f@#$ around" quote, then dump the belt and act like he never said it.
Fail thread is fail
Anyone who calls themselves a professional BROgrammer and BROmetheus is a fail at life so I guess I can live with a failed thread. Sorry bro, no bromance happening here.
lol you know he aint gonna come back in this thread haha
Yeah because a boxing forum online would frighten me so much that I would say to myself "damn, that dude said I'm not gonna come back so I better not, typed words scare the s!@# out of me". Stop dude, just stop. I mean seriously just add your two cents to the subject of the thread or don't, it's not required that you do.
The sad thing is rather than make concessions now and get the fight that would improve or make GGG career, his team would rather he aged giving him a lesser chance of victory just because they want their monies. Instead of taking a calculated risk they don't want to. So he would be 36 or over before he gets a chance to fight Canelo which works out brilliantly in terms of what GBP are trying to do.
That's pretty much exactly what I said in my post 2 or 3 months ago, time flies so forgive me if I cannot recall the exact date or even month I said it but at any rate, yeah man I think your comment is dead on.
u act like this wasnt a common thought process by large portion of the boxing world
You would think so wouldn't you, but I brought it up because it's the first time that a major fighter has brought it up to my knowledge. Austin Trout was just quoted the other day saying the same thing and I've had people tell me that 35 and 36 is not old for boxers which is far from the truth.
this dude got busted with the join date ...LMAO
Yeah dude how cool is that. They busted me with my join date, I mean if I joined in June which is like almost 4 months ago then how did I post it 6 months ago. Damn dude I got busted out for real the math just doesn't work. Roflmfao. Let it go man, it's ok to move on, I'll start checking the calendar too see when certain posts or threads are made. So on to boxing now home skillet.
:lol1: Dam I got roasted
Your thread still sucks balls. It doesn't need to exist at all. You could have made a post in the already existing thread on this topic but you decided you wouldn't get enough attention to satisfy your whiny bitch ass that way, so why not go ahftead and make a new thread.
Whiny b!tch ass huh?? Uh oh, not another internet warrior. Just chill broham I thought cussing people out on the internet wasn't the cool thing to do anymore. As far as attention is concerned, a person that uses Bro as a prefix as much as you do is dying for attention. I get enough attention man, but thanks for your concern.
Groves fight just about to start. Am I the only cunt watching?
If only Groves had a little more sturdier chin and could tidy up some things on defense he already would have been a world champion, maybe even undefeated. There's not many in the division who are as fast with power as Georgie boy. Offensively he's world class. Chin wise and defensively he's still in the contender status.
Waiting for him to get old is an added bonus for them.
THey're waiting him out because they saw Mayweather's blue print of making as much money fighting garbage in the interim
You are so right!!!
But 155 IS THERE, IDIOT! Why hasn't that 97k ppv bum signed yet? HE FEARS CANELO, just like he fears Ward and Lara.
Speaking of your boy lara, truth be told he beat Canelo, just like Trout did. Those trout-canelo scorecards were the worst I've ever seen. I could see a draw, where a lot of ringside observers had it, but still think trout did enough for a 115-113 win.
Canelo is fighting as a Junior Middleweight. There is no reason to fight GGG unless GGG comes down to 154. People need to move on until/if Canelo goes to middleweight. You asked him to give up the belt if he wasn't going to fight the full 160 and he did.
The whole point is he brought all this on himself by number one, fighting for the middleweight belt and number two by calling GGG in the ring saying his infamous"Mexicans don't f#$% around" line. I guess if I could fight legitimate 154 founders while I'm came into the ring as a light heavyweight then I would stick to that too.
What this really is, is a preemptive excuse from a hardcore ggg fan who is worried that if ggg fights Canelo in a year or two, that ggg might lose and OP's trying to plant the seed in people's minds that it will not be a legit win.
Man if that was the case I would gladly admit it. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the majority of boxers lose it around 35 or 36. It's a fact. Not a pre-emptive anything, just a reality that all boxers face. Classic case is Roy Jones and De la hoya. At 35 they were maybe 65 percent of what they were in their prime.
Or it's just calling it for what it is. Canelo avoided the fight, after making a deal to fight him after an extension. They don't want the fight at all but if Golovkin happens to lose a couple steps when he gets older, then sure they'll fight him- much less risk at that point.
We already know for 100% fact Canelo ducked the fight so what else is there to say?
That is exactly what I was trying to point out when I started this thread. Couldn't have said it better myself. Of course that's just my opinion but I think it's a very valid one.
But 155 IS THERE, IDIOT! Why hasn't that 97k ppv bum signed yet? HE FEARS CANELO, just like he fears Ward and Lara.
Who cares if 155 is there idiot GGG is a middleweight and Canelo was middleweight champ. If he's not scared why vacate the title. Canelo is a huge Jr middleweight anyway so why not fight at 160. Your quote made no sense man your contradicting yourself.
