Interesting-you speculate that Floyd fans would say something different if Manny had an IV in an alternate universe that doesn't exist. Really proves your point.
Was a hypothetical situation, no idea why you couldn't understand that. The reality is that Floyd gamed the system, yet most of his fans don't criticize him about it or are too afraid to accept that their favorite boxer may have been a cheat all along, yet they continue to hypocritically bash Pac for supposedly using PEDs. It's fine though, not my problem. Not going to bother discussing further what is obvious.
I could, but it was still utterly ridiculous. Hypocricy exists on both sides
As for gaming the system, maybe. That said, if Manny is clean because he never tested positive, but Floyd "gamed" the system despite never testing positive, that is just as hypocritical.
.
I agree, neither guy tested positive. My point though is that both guys took the same drug tests but one guy did something against the rules. One guy did something he wasn't supposed to, and what he did was something other athletes do so they won't test positive (best example = Lance Armstrong). In this one situation alone, Floyd looked like a cheat, yet many of his "anti-PED" fans don't criticize him for it. Just like how Pac made himself look like a PED cheat for refusing this very test a long time ago, Floyd also made himself look like a PED cheat by doing what he did the night before the fight. That's all I have to say about that.
-Floyd gets caught breaking USADA+WADA rules, flushing his system with 750 mL IV fluids-
Floyd nuthuggers: he's clean!
-In an alternate universe, Pacquiao gets caught breaking USADA+WADA rules, flushing his system with 750 mL IV fluids-
Floyd nuthuggers: see! proof he is a cheat! damn that pacroid!
Nuff said.
They could have accepted the drug testing but I'm not buying that the fight would have even happened anyway. For years and years all we heard from the Mayweather camp was "If you da best, take da test". Then when Pacquiao agreed, it was no PPV or something else or something else.
I don't blame them for turning down the drug testing either out of principle. Mayweather's team went on pretty shameful smear campaign of Pacquaio before they entered into negotiations, sullying his whole career based on allegations with no proof. Why would he then bend to their demands which, at the time, were pretty unheard of in boxing. Why did Mayweather not ask for drug testing in his first fight back with Marquez?
The drug testing is bullsh1t anyway because it's not year round, it's a publicity stunt. This whole potential fight is hot air which was used to build up both fighters separately.
Good post. I do think though that Pac should've just swallowed his pride, took the tests, and fight Mayweather in the ring when this was happening back then. For many people, it looks bad that Pac refused to give in 100% to the testing demands (it does make people suspicious of him and PED-use) but how can you make someone fully cooperate with you when you started negotiations on a highly negative note? Anyway, both sides are to blame.
Who gives a flying fck who was the first vagina to back off. Since the first negotiations fell off this two have been using each others name to promote their fights and fill their own pockets fighting nothing but mismatches. And funny how their fan base eats it up and goes back to square one to argue why they haven't fought each other yet. How about instead of arguing with each other over the same dumba$$ trivial points you guys instead should put pressure on theim to fight each other. I know most of you guys have twitter and all that ****. Go full retarded and demand theim to fight. Fck em both
Well said. Unfortunately, these fanboys don't care. Yeah, they'd rather waste their time arguing and trolling each other on forums and boxing websites about this BS instead of pressuring these two boxers to fight each other.
Really????? A highly negative not???? Ok look this has got to stop. Stop making manny feel as though he was some battered lil beotch and he was raped or something then asked to face his rapist. He was looked at as being abnormal to a potential opponent. They said he looked and seemed as if he could be on something...I am paraphrasing or whatever...if anything Pac should have took that as a compliment signed the damn papers to a CRAZY PAY DAY ALL AT THE SAME TIME SHOWING THE WORLD HE WAS CLEAN AND LAID HANDS ON FLOYD BUT NO. HE USED IT TO HIS ADVANTAGE OR BOB USED IT TO STALL THE PROCESS. MISS ME WITH THE WHOLE "WHO WOULD NEGOTIATE AFTER ALL THE NEGATIVE BLAH BLAH...". MAN THE FCUK UP!
Chill. You're basically repeating what I just said (in regards to the fact that Pac should have just taken the tests and gotten it over with, instead of being prideful). Anyway, about negotiations starting on a negative note: It's the same with Mayweather. Can you get Mayweather to cooperate with Arum/Pac if he is being insulted? You answer that.
its just that broner does it in a extra weird way.. i mean i can understand if floyd treats him like his brother but thats not even the case. floyd doesnt even look at broner like that.
I agree. It'd be better for Broner if he could just be his own man, instead of being "Mayweather's little brother"
People would respect him more, too 'cause they'll stop seeing him as a wannabe.
5. Canelo got whooped by Floyd. No glory in following what Floyd has already done.
First thing that popped up in my mind. We'll be hearing "Pac getting Floyd's leftovers" again.
Mom and son definitely know how to have fun.

lol! But they do look like they are having fun. Can't knock that.
As long as they fight, it's a lose lose situation to everyone including themselves. To us fans, we are deprived of some of the amazing matches that can only happen if they join forces together, to them, some of the most lucrative fights that will earn them an el-dorado type of riches can never happen due to them being both idiots by letting pride and ego get the better of themselves.
/end of thread
Half the posters on here are going to need to check themselves into an asylum when Mayweather and Pacquiao retire :lol1:
Yeah, especially the fanboys that live vicariously through their favorite fighters. lol
Pac is supposed to be easy work, right? Pac has already lost twice recently as well. Why not take him out when he's at his weakest and ultimately prove to the haters that you're the best? I don't get it.
Blame GBP for telling Khan he had the Floyd fight in the bag
They clearly led him on, i dont blame him for being frustrated
Richard Schaefer was talkina bout Khan vs Floyd in every damn interview, Khan would have been a fool to go and fight Devon, with a Floyd fight on the horizon
This.
I'm no Khan fan but they really did lead him on. He even won the poll on Mayweather's website on who he should fight next; he's "letting the fans decide"
I watch both boxing and MMA and it seems that some of you don't know sh*t about MMA -- just ignorant haters of MMA who need to be quiet before they embarrass themselves any further.
didnt they run polls on espn.com, *********, and other sites? which had maidana ahead?
Yep. Which added to the confusion. On Mayweather's official site though, Khan won. So now even Khan and Maidana aren't sure on if they will be chosen. Now it's up to Mayweather whether he goes by his official poll or the polls from ESPN and other sites.
