Pride in one's own race—and that does not imply contempt for other races—is also a normal and healthy sentiment. I have never regarded the Chinese or the Japanese as being inferior to ourselves. They belong to ancient civilisations, and I admit freely that their past history is superior to our own. They have the right to be proud of their past, just as we have the right to be proud of the civilisation to which we belong. Indeed, I believe the more steadfast the Chinese and the Japanese remain in their pride of race, the easier I shall find it to get on with them.
Adolf Hitler (13th Feb 1945)
Your only as good as your opponent let's you look.
Your taking away from Forbes, everyone is saying he was shit etc - i thought he did well for a light punching little guy who'd moved up.
AHAHAHA that is some funny shit. I downloaded the fight & it went to a commercial break when he cut the dreads off. It's replaying tonight and I have it set to record, did that air on American TV?
Yeah man! It was hysterical.
Leonard was really scared that Duran would do something to his son when they filmed this, he had lawyers make up clauses in his contract and so on but Duran turned out to be a gentleman, which surprised Leonard a lot.
Yeah, true. He also mentioned what a gent Duran was though.. realy nice to his kid too aparently. I think most boxers are prety chill outside of the ring.
Yeah Forbes made that fight for me... he was picked to essentialy get steamrolled - but he was in there untill the 12th. I liked his deterimination and hot doggin for the partisan crowd as if to say FUCK YOU.
I'd like to see him another reasonable fight and get paid again.
I'm glad Cotto had the decency to add Clottey's name to that list, a godamn titleholder chasing fights. Clottey will end up quiting boxing soon enough... it's got a no structure and decent guys like him can't get fights.
Jesus, Arum is so ****ing useless. He's the one that should be making Clotteys name known, arranging events, meetings, signings, whatever.
Ask Joshua, if he ever speaks with Azumah Nelson ... if so what is Nelson doing these days?
Cheers bro.
Samurai, what constitutes as a decent guy? White?
Pavlik looked as one-dimensional as ever... he's tough and equipped enough to deal with the Rubios of the game, but if an Abraham fight ever materialises... :D KTFO
no it's weakness actually. if that alpha male shit gets in your head, and makes you like that your very far from being a real alpha. percieved roles are far from reality!
True......
What I am saying here is, he is a proven track record of betraying and lying that doesnt just apply to Frazier.
I mean Ali called Frazier an uncle tom, but met with the KKK for ****s sake!
Yet he is encouraged a this huge role model and idolised, i think some of this is totally unjustified.
I'm not making excuses, just explaining my view of his actions....
He called Frazier an Uncle Tom because he truely believed it, and he met with those assholes from the KKK, because the NOI preached the same bullshit separation theory... in their warped minds the two societies would take control of the US and have a segregated America.
The power of religion and racial tension in brainwashing someone, is truely frightening.
I don't place Ali on a pedestal, he was a great fighter, entertaining personality.. but he was still flawed like every other man.
Bro, how many heavy weight champs aren't womanizers.
I don't agree with it, but when your the alpha male of the human race... it gets to your head and your morals.
that's because he is not a glory whore, and spotlight craver. he talks with his skills in the ring.
Lennox's personality was about as entertaining as castration.... in comparison to Tyson. :)
I read an article today..

Cotto seems to get a lot of grief from the Puerto Rican press about his personality, i think he's pretty cool.
That film almost went out of its way to make Ali look vicious. To a degree he is overly portrayed as the hero in the media. However, i think when you ballance everything else Ali did in his life which was good or honurable... it may cancel out his cruel treatment towards Frazier ...
I might note; I attribute Ali's treatment of Frazier to being brainwashed by the NOI, they made him think that anyone who is black and doesn't take MAJOR pride in being black.... is somewhat sub-human.
Tyson was a very amicable person... when he first entered the game. Lots of people loved him, post prison he became loathed.
People are so ****ing fickle.
are u just going to pretend to feel sorry for him or are you actually going to help?
If I had the financial security Suliman has, I wouldn't have to think twice about helping him.
Suliman could square this guys medical bills in a second, but is too much of a ****ing vampire to help anyone other than himself.
I hope this guy gets better.
I actually felt quite bad for Jinkee, seperate floor, no friends arround and a husband that looks at her like a dosser infront of his entire crew... pregnant ontop of all that.
And she was the only one who voiced any concern over Pac fighting a bigger man, whilst the rest of the leeches are ready to cash in.
FMJ is one of the most talented boxers on the planet today. Regardless of whether or not you like him you are foolish to think that boxing is a better sport without him in it.
True, true, true.
