I think Forbes looked terrific and I though oscar looked his best in years... regardless of who he fought... he was on his toes, throwing combinations, fighting tall, did everything he said he was gonna do...
I thought it was WAY more entertaining than "The world (supposedly) Awaits"
or it could be that this is my first post on this forum. Im not real familiar with the rules around here. I didnt know liking the oscar/floyd fight automatically made me a "floyd stan." Maybe one day ill take a break from working and fucking my girl to get up 7,000 posts like you.
lmao oh shit 2501
you might of gotten :owned: by a noob with 2 posts
damn some floyd stan actually went through the trouble of creating another screen name just to post that and add another vote..:nonono:

DLH/Floyd had more drama but not a lot of action.
DLH/Forbes had more action (from DLH) but lacked any kind of drama.
i think so, just loko at the way he fought with vargas,
he was on his toes and relaxed, of course doing that there are more risk like getting hit more and exchaging punches, i don't care what anybody says oscar is a warrior, he has guts and balls for doing all this having all the money in the world and wanting to fight the best even at his last stage or phase of his career, it's amazing
I voted oscar floyd. Oscar/forbes was too onesided for me, and i thought it was pretty repetitive from round to round. Oscar/floyd was a tense and technically fought boxing match. I enjoyed it much more than other people seemed to have enjoyed

I'm starting to REALLY hate this sport.
What exactly did Oscar do to earn a title shot at WW?
umm...Being the biggest name in boxing the past 10 years perhaps?
No way, Oscar v Forbes was boring, one sided action, Oscar v Floyd was a great technical match, its a shame too few fans appreciate it.
Far too much was expected of it.
I agree that Oscar vs Forbes was considerably more entertaining than Oscar vs Floyd. Though in all honesty the bar wasn't set very high.
At least in Oscar vs Forbes both guys showed real initiative, there was some quality exchanges too. Not real tentative, both guys wanted to win, Forbes really tried to take the golden boy crown which caused oscar to fight back hard too.
pretty much. only uneducated "fans" didnt enjoy the clinic Floyd put on against Oscar. If you want to see skill less boxers try to fight, go watch Rafa Marquez, Israel Vazquez, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez etc. only true boxing fans know Floyd is always exciting.
ok ill take that as sarcasm
So I dont know anything about boxing? Because I happen to think that last nights fight was more entertaining? Gotcha...

One important component of a fight is :"what is at stake?"
There are tons of 'wars' available on any random night on Versus or Wednesday Night Fights, or Telemundo or OLN. It is not enough for me to see two guys going wild on each other. There must also be something on the table that one or both guys is risking.
Last night, there was very little at risk. Everybody expected Oscar to win, but even if he lost, what would be the big deal? It would just signal the end of his career six months earlier than expected. Big deal. He would still have diamonds on the soles of his shoes.
By contrast, in 'The World Awaits', you had the most popular fighter against the best fighter. The p4p title, real titles, and Floyd's legacy (and Oscar's legacy) would have been hugely impacted. And the whole world was watching.
I think there was a ton at stake on the line for forbes...
its obvious that the people who voted for the first option dont know anything about Boxing. Its called "Boxing" not knock outs. If you want to see pure all out brawling, go watch the UFC or that fake shit WWE.

Oscar should have stopped Forbes..
I know he's a tough LITTLE guy..but Oscar had nothing in front of him to worry about..
What I saw was pathetic..
Hoya..getting hurt to the body by a Hobbit..
And ya'll think the rematch will be closer....LOL
He got all cut-up by Bilbo Baggins..
Don't try to say Oscar is past it when Floyd stops him with bodyshots..because you're not saying now..
So your saying Tyson was garbage?
Tyson got KTFO in his prime by a journeyman(Douglas) and padded his record in the weakest heavyweight division in a century..
So your sying Tyson was garbage?
