Panchito Bojado and Tony Ayala came to mind, they were supposed to be mega main stream fighters and for different reasons they came up short.
David Reid also comes to mind.
Im not for different colors, I just dont see why blue is the "it" color in boxing. Why not stick to the white canvas like they used to use, or is still used with any other real or fake fighting? you didnt see ali fighting on some dark blue paint canvas
Why blue. I dont know but television has to play a big factor as to why a colored canvas over white, lets remember that when Ali was fighting the vast majority of tv sets around the world were black and white.
Excellent read man, had the pleasure of watching kirino fight several times.
Do you know the story about him and Terry Norris?, I know kirino was his sparring partner and up to this day Norris still owes him money.
Someone needs to get Sent to the nsb d league for saying marque ducked morales.
I don't think he ducked him but his team, Beristain, was asking for like 1.5 million dollars for the fight, later he fought for 30k, go figure.
Hey carnal, I don't know who to vote. They are equal in my eyes. All I can say is that Mexico is very lucky to produce these type of top caliber fighters in the same era.
Enough said, Kadyo speaking like a true unbiased gentleman.
People did not like Larry Holmes after he beat Ali, at the time, he was very disliked by many for beating on a "over his prime" Ali.
Years later,Tyson came and beat an over his prime Holmes.
For a nice hearty pre fight day meal:

Heavyweight James Toney enjoys a healthy prefight meal at Chevy's after a rigorous workout. Toney and Samuel Peter collide Saturday night on SHOWTIME.
But the real question is...
what does it look like he's having?
Looks like he's having a rigorous workout right there and then!
I go to a local sports bar called Hiney's, big screen tv's everywhere and every booth/table has a 12 inch tv. also, the barmaids/waitresses all dress in Hooters like outfits, pretty cool.
After another disappointing lost to Oleg Maskaev. Do you guys really care to see Rahman fight again?
No, the Rock has possibly reached the end, time to make a sound decision about his future in the sport.
Not really a "fun night". Usually they set us up by provideing crap opponents because they know people here are "fight-deprived" and will pay big money to see "names", regardless of the quality of the fight. Chavez hasn't really fought anyone, and I wouldn't bet he could hang with any of the big guns at his weight. Our local heavy, David Rodriquez, has signed to fight another "tomato can" by the way in order to further pad his record, a guy he decisoned in 4 rounds. If you want to see real fights, go to Vegas.....
How long is "El niño" going to be fighting 4 rounders, as far as the card coming up, we need a good headline to make it worth the money.
His first three fights were in Mexico because he was underage and wouldn't get licenced to fight in the USA. Ask him about that experience and why turn pro at such a young age.
A guy that beat 13 world champions, has the record of welterweight title defenses and only lost two fight...Is a bum?
Shut the fuck up before I slap you with my dick...
Roger that, Tito was never a bum.
Mayweather is undefeated and the pound for pound king. Mayweather-DLH is the fight to make.
That's the fight right there, it would be a big mega fight.
