i have no problem with floyd vs marquez. I like the fight. Its a pretty risky fight to take as comeback fight imo. Especially with his inactivity. I thought floyd would have had no trouble with castillo and an aged dlh, but the fights were a lot more competitive than i expected. some say castillo won. I dont, but still... lets be real isn't floyd just a bum with a good defence? I think so. getting pwned by j l castillo? mosley in his prime would of aired that bitch out. I will seriously start thinking about giving the dude some props, allthough to put an exclamation mark on it he would ideally fight Marquez/Pac and Cotto. BURNER I never said it was going to be a tough fight my man. I picked Gamboa right out of the gate. 25 and others thought it would be a tough fight. I think 25 thought Mtagwa might even beat Gamboa. My honest thought when we talked it over and I can probably get you the show # and time to go listen is that Gamboa was going to KO Mtagwa. He did it a little bit faster than I predicted but that was my thought. As far as tailor made speed was no where near comparable and Gamboa is much stronger than mostly anyone at 122-130. I thinkMtagwa's fight against Juanma was at 122lbs right? he did not look anywhere near the size of Gamboa. Do not get me wrong I am not saying it was not a great W I am just aying style wise it was or should have been a easy fight. Juanma is more balanced he don't have blazing speed or the punches you don't see coming like Gamboa throws. I can hardily wait until they fight...Lefty They next fights gon be crazy. You have to be of the same ethnicity to be a fan of a fighter? I don't know, maybe thats just a Puerto Rican thing. But I happen to like fighters from all over, Gamboa and Juanma being two of them. I think Gamboa has the potential to reach a Manny Pac type of following. His style is sick. He will have fans from all over.

An inactive Oscar at 154 was a risk? OK.... Moving up to 154 Pounds was a risk. No need for HATE. Floyd is small as shit and weighed 148 Pounds on the scales. He was in a little ring. With little gloves. Fighting the biggest hardest puncher he ever faced. Oscar was also well over 160 Pounds. Thats a risk.

Of course you going to have your nation backing you up but like you said KO's gets fanbase... I am not a boricua and Tito became my favorite fighter back in 1993 when I saw him KO Blocker in San Diego... Tyson had a huge fanbase... Pac right now is my favorite active fighter and I am not Pinoy... So if Gamboa keep having this kind of victories where millions are watching then yes he will have a huge fan base and will be able to bring fans from anywhere... This is exactly what I was saying.
