think about it
when is the last time Floyd fought 2 tough opponents in a row?
Floyd supposed to fight Shane this May then Pac by September
i believe that Floyd will duck one then face the other
it's either he'll duck Shane now then fight Pac later in the year or fight Shane now then he'll duck Manny in September
Floyd hasn't taken enough risky fights since his move from 135, thats the problem. He now weighs risk vs reward. Whereas guys like oscar, pac, mosley, bhop, cotto, wright these guys every damn body.
Again Floyd has no business at 160 him fighting Espino is that a risk?
What was Oscar record 4 fights prior going into the Floyd fight? 2-2? in a 4 year span? Was Oscar not getting embarrassed by Calderon during prepariton? What Oscar not a flat footed plotter when he fought Floyd? All he did was try to corner and throw pitty pats that was his whole gameplan... This is the bullshit Floyd fans be doing trying to make a win better than what it really is... If you believe that bullshit was a risk so be it... there is nothing more to say...
you're such a troll

It was a huge win for Floyd. History will always remeber that. It was the most hyped fight eer for a reason. Oscar had a chance to win.
So because his gameplan wsnt to your liking Floyd doesnt get credit?
Oscar was, he didn't care about winning no more he cared about his promotional company... Do we forget that Ivan Calderon was embarrassing him sparring while he was preparing for Floyd? I don't mean that Oscar was taking it easy and that Calderon was holding his own... no I mean the JR Flyweight Ivan Calderon was embarrassing Oscar, he could not land anything on Calderon... Do you still think he had it? Come on man lets be real here... his record going into it was 2-2 in 4 fights prior and one of those wins was a gift against Felix Sturm...
Still has the height, power, and weight is what I'm saying. As for sparring, different strokes for different folks. Can't have a beautiful style with them all. But I do get you.
Man you seen the Oscar fight. Oscar fought his ass off and did not make a fool of himself.
He was the biggest, strongest, hardest hitting pucher Floyd has ever faced. AND it was at a weight class Floyd had NO business being at. Thats a risk.

fighting past prime DLH who some says almost lost to Forbes is not a risk
Oscar may have been past his best, but noboday who saw the Forbes fight thought he almost lost.
The physical feats were still there. Don't act like Oscar still can't compete now if he wanted. Downplaying an opponent is a excuse. Also many fighters fight once or 2 times a year. So the part time fighter thing is thrown out the window. As if he didn't train at all.haha. How can you even be a part time fighter and full time promoter?

He was taller, bigger, stronger, and hit harder then Floyd. AND Floyd moved up to 154. 6 Pounds shy of MIDDLEWEIGHT.
Don't act like Oscar still can't compete now if he wanted.
I agree Oscar at 154 is a different fighter then a drained 147 Pound Oscar.
Downplaying an opponent is a excuse. Also many fighters fight once or 2 times a year.
Paul Williams ONLY fought ONCE in 2007. I guess hes inactive too.
So the part time fighter thing is thrown out the window. As if he didn't train at all.haha. How can you even be a part time fighter and full time promoter?
bolded...........
Where was he ranked at 135 at the time?
Now you just making up shit....

No I mean the old, inactive, part time fighter full time promoter, way passed his prime Oscar that is what I mean...

not a risk taker is a nicer way to say ducker....this thread brings nothing new to the table lol
his whole style (defense) is has "not a risk taker" written all over it already.....
.............hes very good at it....but its boring yo
I hear all the times in these forums from people who discredit Floyd by saying his resume is shytty which is a lie.
See for your self.
He beat Genaro Hernandez when PBF was 21 years old....Hernadez was 38-1 and the WBC feather weight King when Floyd MANHANDLED him.
Manfredy was another exciting fighter who was only 25-2 when Floyd whupped on him.
Diego Corralles was 33-0..UNDEFEATED.....when Floyd dropped him 5 times.
Jesus Chavez another good fighter was 35-1 when Floyd beat his azz.
JLC was 45-3 and was one of the best fighters in the world and Floyd beat by UD twice.
Ndou was freakin 31-0 with what like 30 knock outs..when Floyd beat his azz.
Chop Chop was a good fighter as well and even layed the boom on Floyd a couple times and he was 25-2 when Floyd taced him.
Judah at the time was coming off a fluke loss against Carlos Baldomir...and gave Floyd all he candle early in the fight until Floyd broke him down.
Oscar De LeHoya was favored by almost EVERYONE in here...70% of you guys picked ODH to win by KO...and Floyd outboxed him as well....meanwhile Oscar had small gloves, a small ring and the fight was at 154 against a guy who has damn good KO power...oh yeah and ODH weighed atleast 170 for that fight..Floyd was a mere 148.
Where was he ranked at 135 at the time?
Now you just making up shit....
Floyd took those risks during his FW days
However this is not the case at his current weight
Floyd WOULD NOT RISK HIMSELF FIGHTING SHANE THEN MANNY later this year
fighting past prime DLH who some says almost lost to Forbes is not a risk
I'm sorry, but Oscar won like 11 rounds in the Forbes fight.
Chicanito was a risk, Castillo twice was a risk, Manfreddy, Chavez, Hernandez were fights against top fighters of the weight-class...
Not saying that Floyd hasn't taken risks, just that he sure took a lot more of them at 130/135. And when you call yourself the greatest boxer that ever lived, people hold you to a higher standard.
As in, right now he should be calling out Williams, Martinez, Mosley, Pac, whoever, come get some.
A weight drained Oscar who got busted up by Forbes shouldnt be in Pacs top wins.
Is not... but lets not forget that same Oscar who got busted up by Forbes is the same Oscar who fought Floyd...
I living legend, puncher, taller, heavier Oscar you mean.
No I mean the old, inactive, part time fighter full time promoter, way passed his prime Oscar that is what I mean...
