Seriously enough already.
Gamboa is an amazing talent, reflexes, speed, power in both hands, amazing footwork and skills for days. A once in a generation type of fighter.
JuanMa is a good fighter, but hes nothing special. He hits hard and has a good jab and left hook. He will beat up alot people in his day but lets stop comparing them. Gamboa's skill and talent is on a whole different level.
That is all.
Man this kid is the very definition of a nuthugger! Im gonna make an easy prediction Gamboa's career will never reach the status of Pac's
Jesus, they talk as if he's beatin the best of his generation. The guy has been dfeasting on Cuban amatures and Tamato cans. I like his style and he's fun to watch, but your just a plan nutlicker. lets see him win a strap in multiple divisions before you act like he's "once in a generation"
feasting on Cuban amateurs? you know nothing of what you speak of, the amateurs system in my country was the best in the world for many years. just getting on the national team was harder than the olimpics in many cases. i fought in that system for many years and after i defected, ive worked as a sparring partner for world champions and in many cases did a lot more than hold my own, and all that being 70% blind in one eye. so you can have you opinion which i will respect but please dont try to lessen gamboas amazing amateur record because that is insulting to anyone who has ever fought in the amateurs. and ill take a wild guess here, you never fought huh?
Luevano was a glass jawed feather fisted bum ass scrub set up to make Lopez look good. At least Mtwaga had some power to possibly hurt Gamboa. I put more stock into Gamboa's win than I do Juan Ma's.
Who's a better fighter??
Mtagwa or Luevano??
im agree 100%...its just disrespectful....Juanma is a common Fighter, nothing extraordinary.....
I'm sorry but that common Fighter is a 2 time World Champs in 2 weight classes. While your fighter is not even a World Champ.

how many time luevanno been stopped

I can't see the Tyson comparison, but the Roy Jones is obvious. His athleticism is off the charts.
To me, he looks like a mini Tyson with his physique but he fights nothing like Tyson did.

He looks and fights like Jones did though.......He looks ripped as a mother to be fighting at such a light weight.

LMAO!! See , I can believe ur cuban!!!!! common???? if u say so. R u in love with Gamboa????
I'm more tired of people comparing Gamboa to Roy Jones Jr. and Tyson.
He has similarities to Tyson's killer instinct (early rounds TKO victories) and RJJ's reflexes and hand speed.
The kid is lightning fast. Not only with his hands, but with every motion of his body, including his feet. Nonetheless, I'm leery of about such statements regarding a fighter who's so new to the pro game. It's difficult, if not impossible, to discern a difference in speed with the fastest in the sport. It's like splitting hairs. I feel more comfortable accepting your choice of words: "at least on par...."
I still cant believe ur cuban!!!!!! It must be the air in miami!!!!
They are serious, but I wouldnt say they are wrong.....tell me who have you seen that was faster? He is at least on par....

The sudden wave of fanaticism for Gamboa has me laughing. I've been watching this kid for a long time, now. The first time I saw him was in the Olympics, where he was impressive. I've caught most of his professional fights on Youtube, shortly after the actual bout. There's no doubting his potential and obvious gifts. But I can't understand what makes him so praiseworthy now versus, say, his October fight against Whyber Garcia. Because he destroyed Rogers Mtagwa? Gamboa did exactly what he was supposed to do. A fighter of his caliber is supposed to quickly dispose of, or at least completely dominate, a journeyman like Mtagwa. To me, getting all crazy about Yuriokis Gamboa at this point is akin to blowing your wad in your pants. It's just not time...yet.
Even ESPN's Dan Rafael doesn't seem to be immune. Here's an excerpt from an article he wrote on ESPN.com:
"Gamboa is absolutely electrifying to watch and his hand speed is incredible. Has there been a faster fighter in the sport since Meldrick Taylor was in his prime? Gamboa, 28, the 2004 Cuban Olympic gold medalist who defected after a brilliant amateur career, might be even faster than the best of Floyd Mayweather, Roy Jones, Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley. Seriously. Mtagwa, 30, of Philadelphia but born in Tanzania, is no slow poke, but he looked like he was in neutral while Gamboa looked like he was in fifth gear as soon as the fight began. At one point in the fight, it looked like Gamboa got off five punches before Mtagwa could even put his hands up."
The highlighted portions are some serious statements, wouldn't you say?
They are serious, but I wouldnt say they are wrong.....tell me who have you seen that was faster? He is at least on par....
Bolded........
Most of BS thought Mtagwa was dangerous for Gamboa? Hopefully those were Juanma fans only.
Mtawga is a club fighter or as referred to in some circles, a bum. The fact that Juanma struggled so much with the guy is still worrisome to me even with Saturdays great performance.
Nothing but a wide puching right handed fighter to me. I still can't believe Juanma kept trading wiiiiide right hooks with Mtagwa's slightly less wiiiide looping rights. That was a major misstep to me, but I won't judge him too much because young fighters go through this.
Gamboa seems to have the brighter future as of right now, though he hasn't really been tested either. Luevano could have given him more trouble than he gave Juanma for all we know.
He's already been knocked down a few times in his short carrer and just because he KO'ed Matwga in 2 rds. he's a superstar? Lopez fought him at 122 and Gamboa did at 126 while his stupid ass weighed 122.5. Lopez didn't get a lot of credit from a lot of people for beating Penalosa because he came up in weight but at least he didn't weigh-in a Division lower. Lopez has a better resume already and has accomplished more(two division champ). We'll see when they face each other.
While I think that Yuriorkis is much more physically gifted than Juanma, and a much more exciting fighter to watch, you speak the truth. I don't think it's clear who will beat whom. But I do believe that Gamboa has superstar potential that transcends cultural/nationalistic lines, while Lopez is a good young fighter whose career is being built on a substantial Puerto Rican fan base.
Man this kid is the very definition of a nuthugger! Im gonna make an easy prediction Gamboa's career will never reach the status of Pac's

It is what it is. Gamboa skill set, rflexes and talent is on a level Pac will never reach.

wow the stupidity of some people:no:
thanks to posts like these gamboa is now officially on my list of hypejobs I want to see get KTFO.
Ironic.
You want to see him get KTFO because of somebody elses opinion, not because of him as a fighter. That's more stupidity than ANYBODY else has shown.
