I realize its just sparring, but the way Roach made it sound it was pretty tenacious. Doesn't matter thought Pacquiao fans will not be happy until Floyd fights him.
I thought about it and no. Ur post is so ignorant.
Ignorant in what way. Floyd has lots of fans for a reason. Like i said everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And the average boxing fan does not truly understand how technically brilliant Floyd is, doesn't mean u have to like him.
None of these mega fights ever live up to the hype anymore. I have no doubt that it would be a disappointing fight to watch with a predictable decision.
If it never happened, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Besides boxing is better without mayweather. Everything about him is unpleasant, including his style.
Floyd is a technical fighter only people who know boxing and or have boxed can truly appreciate his style. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Floyd is not scared of Pac though. I never heard of someone turning down a blood test for 40 million plus, Pac is not worried about principle. He is hiding something, think about it.
Floyd still prime
He without a doubt is still in his prime. He is filled in to his frame and is now a very strong welterweight. His body shows it, and Ortiz will not last. Floyd is also being smart he knows that by being humble now and drawing attention to the steroid issue he can corner Pac later. When this fight finally does happen Pac will realize he is in real trouble. A bigger, stronger, faster, hard hitting version of Marquez. Peace out
When Ortiz gets hit he runs in to hit back. When he does this against Floyd he will be in big trouble. As for Floyds legs being gone, i doubt it but like he says he has never had to show his A game, Ortiz will not make him get it. Pac might.
that still doesn't explain why you need extra tests to a one dimensional fighter who fought nothing but bums.
for 40 fights the guy didn't even think of ost until the amateurish boxer came along.

I agree Floyd does think Pac is a dangerous fight regardless of the fighting bums comments. Still no one turns down a blood test if there clean, especially for a huge amount of money. Also Pac seems to have gotten stronger as he has moved up in weight. Your argument is basically Floyd would not ask Pacquiao to take the tests if he thought he was amateurish. This is about about Floyd's thoughts as pacman as a fighter, nothing to do with the whether or not he shoots up. If your clean you take a blood test, if your not you don't-simple as that.
my day one prediction....Floyd has grown into full blown WW...no more coming in on fight nights at 148-49.....bad news for whoever trying to make some real money at 147 lol[/QUOTE
He may have lost a step but he is definitely a full blown WW now. He looks bigger and stronger.
Be real
Pac is on roids look his head got bigger, no joke. If he is clean then take a blood test end of story. If u were innocent and wanted to clear your name, and make 40+ million dollars u would not refuse a blood test. :chairshot
Logic on the fight
Pac is a very unorthodox southpaw he throws from odd angles and is very fast with foot and hand. This alone will give May trouble early. He is also a machine so he will be coming after Floyd until the end.
WHY He loses
Floyd has a significant reach on Pac and his jab will slow Pac down. (6inchs). Pac also rushes in with his head forward, a big no no against Floyd. In the end Pac will have his moments but Floyd will show he can still move, use his jab, and keep Pac frustrated. Floyd by late TKO Peace
A few I've come up with.
"Legacy."
"Supremacy."
"The Era's Finest."
"The Answers."
"Iconic."
"And Then There Were Two."
"W.I.N. (Winning Is Necessary.)"
"Blood Spladda In Nevada." (Don King would love it. Lol.)
"Someone's Fanbase Will Be Crushed." Heh.
I like "And then there was Two" that is sick.
KFC never figured out castillo
castillo didnt perform in 2nd fight and it was still damn close
KFC fought better than DLH but cross dresser out worked him
pac is floyd's worst nightmare- he wants the media to beat manny for him
floyd is s-hit scared of losing-
This is laughable. First of all styles make fights Judah has an in and out style that gives Floyd a little trouble. With that in mind he still dominated and would have stopped Judah had he not been nailed in the balls and then on the back of the head. Pacman does great when someone comes right to him, Margarito, Hatton Etc. He does not so good with counter punchers. Floyd is a far superior counter puncher to Marquez and Marquez was landing a lot of clean shots. Floyd is also bigger, faster, more versatile, and has is far superior defensively. DLH, Marquez, Martinez, and even Pacmans old trainer say the same thing Floyd beats Manny. peace out
lets say what it is...Arum don't want that Pacquiao Money Training to get Derailed...if he was so confident that Pacquiao could beat Mayweather...this fight would have been made YEARS AGO
I literally laugh my ass off when Arum keep mentioning these 3rd Party Investors, as if Al Haymon and Mayweather are going to trust any Investors that Arum Suggest
The Old Man Is Stalling and is looking for a way out, but he is backed into a corner
Seems like they want to do a deal without Al Haymon and Golden Boy Promotions involved but Mayweather is not stupid, just funny to me all of these BACK DOOR INVESTORS are contracting his Uncle and even his Girlfriend...lol
Exactly read between the lines. There is no way this is the so called "negotiations". The fight will happen though Bob is stalling but soon enough he will run out of time and lies. The Pac camp is already tired of his sh** just a matter of time.
U are kidding?
Floyd is a far superior counter puncher to Marquez. He is far more slick, faster, better footwork, harder puncher, ETC ETC
Floyd will hit Pac at will with the right hand. Soon enough all the Pacfans will have to admit Floyd is #1 pound for pound
oh please, peterson was coming in with his elbows and head constantly, you khan haters need to learn the rules of boxing
the ref was so biased, he helped peterson get those titles, even if he was biased, all he had to do was call the kd correct and justice would have been done
Running and holding is not boxing. I have watched plenty of boxing, Khan lost get over it.
I am a huge Cotto fan, but I was also a Margarito fan before the scandal. Sometimes you have to be realistic, Marg is a cheater and there is no other way going around it. The fact that they constantly change the story, shows that they are lying. Also, yes there is a black mark on the wraps, but also there is a tear on it. There is no way around it, as much as people want to give him the benefit of the doubt, you can't deny what is clear as day. The back and forth will continue about the wraps, but the truth of the matter is, that Margarito and Capetillo can't get it together. When you are telling the truth, you don't forget it, but when you lie, the story constantly change. When something does not make sense, it is because it is not true.
Exactly only a fan or someone of delusion really believes Margarito didn't cheat. I just re-watched the fight and even my brother was saying how the sound of punches landing and the damage they were doing was unnatural. I am not new to boxing, Margarito is a cheater in my eyes.
I see what you mean i just cant see it any other way though. At 16:12 it is clear there is a black mark on the wraps but there is also a tear that is bigger. At 16:30 Cotto explains why this is the same wrap. The chances of a different wrap leaking dye into the same spot, unlikely.
Based on this reply, I dont think you are capable enough of actually discussing this with any sort of logic
Actually i am and why would they reuse a hand wrap? I see that the area that looks like a crack has what appears to be a piece of black thread. However, if the chances of the red mark being in the exact same spot, as from the Mosley fight. Also the (marker) could be used to find where to place this substance. There is no logical reason he reused wraps other than the fact that he cheated.
Looks like a thread to me...
But why the hell would Cotto and Margarito's camps have conflicting views about whether or not there was someone in the opposite dressing rooms?
That's what's got me scratching my head now...?
Simply because if there was someone in Margartios dressing room it takes away any wrong doing, or makes the Cotto camp to blame. Seems logical for a guilty party to say.
I don't know if he had plaster during the Cotto fight, but I know he caught with it the very next fight against Mosley. There is a chance that he got caught the first time he used it, but my guys tell me, that there is a very good chance that he may have gotten away with it several times before he got caught.
With or without the crack the red spot is in the exact same fu***** spot as the piece taken out from the Mosley fight. Does anyone really believe this was a coincidence. Margarito is a cheater, clear as day.
Cotto fans better wake up and smell the **** their are breathing.. reality is the same Trainer Nazim Richardson exposed Titos illegal wraps back in 2001
You are obviously a delusional fan so let me set you straight. First off all not sure what does the pic of the red dye on Chicos glove has to do with. The reason Margarito is suspected of having used the same wrap is because the wraps that were pulled before the Mosley fight have the dye is the "exact same spot. Secondly, what was found in Margaritos gloves were not hardened yet. Read this article this is reality. http://tubehangout.blogspot.com/2011/05/antonio-margarito-and-trainer-javier.html
You do not get banned from boxing for life for no reason. Also who would blame there trainer if they knew no real crime was committed. Watch the fight with Mosley you can clearly see Margarito knows he is in trouble and did something wrong. The elements found when added with water H20 (seeing how water contains oxygen) turn to plaster of paris, no debate about it. Peace
precisely... his difficulties with counterpunchers has been "exposed" already by a certain mexican right?
To some degree yes but Marquez is not lighting fast and not very aggressive he picks his spots. Pac has yet to face a fast slick boxer who shows aggression and can counter-punch. Marquez is an excellent counter puncher but not very aggressive, Margarito slow hard hitting, Cotto boxer puncher (not super slick),... I think you get the point pac has faced good opponents but Bradley is slick and fast, and can counter. His style is going to give Pacman troubles that even Marquez did not expose. It will show when they fight. Peace
pacquiao has been competing with best guys for a decade now...
if there is something more to expose, it would have been done already dont you think?
as a spectator, what do you reckon? what is in pacquiao's "game" that still needs exposing?
Pacman is great but he has shown he has major trouble with counter punchers. He will not be exposed as a fighter, but a more aggressive (quicker) style with counter punching could really bother Pac.
I think Floyd is going to surprise people when he reminds us how fast he is. Manny is quick, but its hard for me not to argue Floyd's faster. I think the first few rounds will be exciting for Pacquiao supporters because Floyd will let him come forward, throw, try and figure out his timing and plan. Starting late in the second, into the third round, Floyd will start countering Manny as he throws, stepping to the side and using faster hands and reflexes to befuddle him.
This will throw Manny off for a few rounds, during which his attack will slow, Floyd will come on, and Manny will have to go on defense. This will help, but ultimately fail, and the seventh and eighth are Floyd's best yet. Manny isn't landing much, isn't throwing as much, and Floyd is landing more.
Manny rallies in the ninth, but Floyd beats him to the punch and batters him.
Floyd TKO anywhere from the late 9th-11th round.
I agree people keep thinking about the speed of Manny and he is fast but its not the hand speed but the reflexes and timing. If Marquez could counter Manny and beat him to the punch imagine what Floyd will do. Granted Pac is not the same fighter and but Floyd is so much faster and slicker than anyone Pac has ever faced. I no people will say who has Floyd faced like Pac, well no one but he has faced faster opponents that have been southpaw. I also think Floyd is going to use the jab alot to make Manny think about jumping in. The fight will be close early and Pac may even have Floyd on the defense but once Floyd findings openings to counter he will let his hands go. I see Manny at some point jumping in and getting hit hard and Floyd will jump on him. Watch the Marquez fights it may not be the same Pac but he still makes some of the same mistakes. Mayweather by tko
He's also never faced a monkey, a homeless dude looking for change, a fat-ass weighing a thousand pounds, an african saharan lioness, reigning Mr. Universe, Barack Obama, Rambo, rocky, Eric Cartman, and islamic fundamentalist with bombs strapped waist-side.
I'm sure all of these would school pacman's ass too.
wow, this is boxing this is not only a pointless post it does not take away from the fact that styles make fights and Mayweather is a style problem for Pac. If Marquez can make him hesitant to jump in Mayweather can too.
Are you kidding me? Told you all Floyd was a bitch. He didn't think Manny would agree to the fight, so now, he's either, trying to find a way out or negotiate some clearly unfair advantages. First a March date, which is too damn soon, now 154lbs and 10oz Gloves!?! OMG! This Floyd character is something else.
This is complete bullshit, Floyd agreed to 147.
Cotto had trouble finding a target against Clottey therefore slowing down his work rate.
PERIOD.
I don't think Cotto ca win either, but damn he's getting disrespected at this point.
That was his first "real" fight back after margarito he had some nervous and rust to work off. He looks to be in great shape and i think he still is in his prime he just needed a tough fight and to get threw it which he did. Cotto is faster than he looks those punches sound hard even when he is not putting everything on them. This will be a big test for Manny he has never been hit by someone like Cotto before. And the notion that Cotto had trouble hitting Clottey well he has great defense and is a huge natural welterweight. The difference is size between him and Manny is staggering. All i know is this fight will live up to the hype. Cant wait. Peace
Oh and one more thing Manny can have great footwork and speed but Cotto is great and cutting off the ring.
Close Fight
I think Pac is definitly more explosive than anyone Cotto has fought. Judah had speed but does not throw from odd angles like Pac nor does he have the foot speed. I think Cotto is going to come forward and be setting the tempo early. I give Pac an edge but lets be real Pac might have a hard time hurting Cotto at this weight. He has taken shots from Mosley, Judah, and took a beating from hands of plaster and was never in danger until the end. I gotta believe if Pac lands a big shot and Cotto takes it well he might be in trouble.
This fight will be close don't kid get yourselves. The southpaw style and speed of Pac will give Cotto a lot of trouble. And Pac has never faced a fighter as strong as Cotto who can cut down the ring. Its gonna be a great one.
