Just rewatched that fight and was paying close attention to Mayweather handling a slick southpaw like Judah. As we may know, May's corner doesnt like him fighting southpaws but then again, he's beat another southpaw in Chop-chop Corley as well. I can picture Pac sneaking in some straight lefts from time to time but same goes for Mayweathers straight right counter. Im not a biased fighter fanatic but more like a actual boxing fan. Im literally torn in between the two. My brain says Mayweather strictly on skill and speed but my heart says Pacquiao on speed and high punch rate. Watch Corley/Judah and see if there is anything Pac could possibly do better than them. Also watch how Mayweather dominates them afterwards.....
Logic on the fight
Pac is a very unorthodox southpaw he throws from odd angles and is very fast with foot and hand. This alone will give May trouble early. He is also a machine so he will be coming after Floyd until the end.
WHY He loses
Floyd has a significant reach on Pac and his jab will slow Pac down. (6inchs). Pac also rushes in with his head forward, a big no no against Floyd. In the end Pac will have his moments but Floyd will show he can still move, use his jab, and keep Pac frustrated. Floyd by late TKO Peace
first of all pacquiao ain't a slick southpaw he ain't got a better right jab then judah plus judah knows floyd better then any fighter their both hanged back in their amateur days plus judah is a talented boxer for the first half of the fight until his heart and gas tank runs out besides floyd always figues you out then take's control in the middle and later rounds for example de la hoya and hatton fight
So Pacquiao should just take the tests and collect an easy $30-40 million right?
Pac didn't say anything that floyd is an easy money or easy fight, he always praise floyd for his skill and everything while floyd and his team keep saying that pacquiao is an easy fight, easier than marquez.
Nice post.....
I gotta ask you this though, How is Pac better NOW then he was in 2008 when he fought Marquez?
Makes no sense, how did he get better?
Makes no sense to me neither...It's the same fighter, from 28 to 30 years old...how can you get better?!! o wait yeah that's when Ariza came in and PAC doesn't know what he takes...It just doesn't look good.
Also if you watch the average volume of punches in fights has increase from lower to higher weight clases, which doesn't make sense...
i cant watch idiots post " why floyd asking for tests if pac is so easy" because you risk your life every time you step in the boxing ring and why would you increase your own chances at death in the ring no matter how miniscule they may be. This is the reason I hope margarito is never allowed to box in the U.S ever again and jailed if he ever gets caught packing his wraps again.
This means that floyd isn't afraid of his life against all of his last 40 opponents, he's only afraid with pacquiao that he might get killed by pac in the ring. Floyd has conceded already.
You cant compare judah to pacquiao, throws meaningful jabs pac doesnt. Zab set his shots up with the jab and that only worked for maybe one or two rounds. I think zab hits harder than pac and zab may have landed punches on floyd but he never hurt floyd. And judah picks his shots he doesnt let his hands go thats why he is so dangerous but manny is going to throw and keep throwing and leave his self open for counters. And I honestly dont think floyd has problems with southpaws, I think judah would of hit mayweather even if he was right handed because he is faster and has more power than floyd. But once floyd adjusted judah had no answer for it.
Can someone please name me another southpaw that he had problems with?
Corley lost every round, and mitchell got tko'd.
I never said Pacquiao was a slick southpaw. And I know it was his father that said that, I just generalized it smartass.. Anyone who's watched the fights I mentioned understands what I was trying to point out. And like someone else in thread mentioned, Judah is a waste of talent. He was a good fighter but lacked something along the lines of heart... He just seemed to give up in a few fights of his. But just for kicks, How do you think a PRIME JUDAH vs THE LATE VERSION PACQUIAO would go?
Sorry but in no way has what the poster said a contradiction. Fighting drug free is a requirement regardless of who will dominate. If Floyd says he will dominate Manny that is assuming that as a fighter he is "natural". Thats like Mosely saying he's going to kick Margarito's ass only to discover he had bricks in his gloves. Should he have just let him use them anyway because he already said he was going to kick his ass? Not trying to insult or flame you but I think you missed the point.
:lol1:
Good post.
you, my friend, are a walking contradiction.
you say that OST is needed to level the playing field.. then you say that Mayweather will dominate Pacquiao.
Which one is it? Because if Floyd will dominate Pacquiao then he doesn't need a "level playing field" since he is so far above him.
If he needs a "level playing field" then that only means that he is afraid of being outclassed because Pacquiao is above and beyond him due to him taking something.

it wont be close cause without the ped's manny will be a totally differant fighter//with the ped's manny still loses
so if Manny still loses with the PEDs.. why are you guys so afraid of Mayweather fighting him without OST?
note: hypothetically speaking. Pacquiao has never tested positive for any steroids.
it wont be close cause without the ped's manny will be a totally differant fighter//with the ped's manny still loses
ahaha this guy?????pac beats floyd....
well yea i agree....but pac could do that all day with out fading, i honestly think cotto would give mayweather hell in the early stages of the fight but mayweather would find a way to win but it would be a way closer fight then the pac cotto fight was, and the clottey fight would be really hard for mayweather cause clottey has good defense and has hard accurate punches but i got mayweather winning but once again a much closer fight then the pac clottey fight was.........
Actually,Clottey could take just as much punches against Mayweather with Floyd throwing less punches than Manny.Floyd doesn't have a high punch out-put,so it's very likely that Clottey would open up more than the Manny fight. If he opens up more,he gets countered more.
Manny should have lowered his work-rate a notch and Clottey would have given Manny more opportunities....a high workrate just kept him in his shell and allowed Manny to get a low connect percentage...
Pac aint a slick southpaw.....besides judah has known floyd since he was 9 or sumfin in the amateurs so he knew his style very well. Dont know why people compare those fights.
since when has zab super judah been considered slick ? come on bro at best he was a good fighter who underachived throughout his career and when was he slick ? against ? slick southpaws or boxers dont struggle with a 38 year old rafael pineda or carlos baldomir...he was never that slick he just had tremendous handspeed and good power..thats about it!!
fight wont even be close..floyd will dominate manny

It's very HARD to say Pacquiao isn't a slick southpaw now a days.. He's slicker than Judah, that's for sure. Notice how much less he's gotten hit in his last fights, how he ducks, slips and counters. There is no better southpaw out there than Pacquiao right now.
I am 100 percent sure Pac is going to tag Floyd in the earlier rounds. The fact that he is a southpaw along with his otherworldly handspeed will make him incredibly difficult for Floyd to figure out and adjust to. I think it may take Floyd the longest he has ever had to to adjust to someone's style. By round 5 he will have it down, timing, speed, and distance and he will either win every round or win every round and TKO Pac. Pac HAS to bank rounds in the beginning of the bout. He has to make sure he builds a lead because if he isn't up 4-1 5-0 by the 5th he isn't going to win.
If JMM was able to figure him out then i think floyd will have an easier time doing so. But i wouldnt be surprised if he gave floyd a flash kd. If manny hasn't hurt floyd or done anything significant by the thired round then the fight is over
