Agree. Really never understood all the hate for khan. Yes he has tried to prove himself a tough guy which has left him being tko, however he is a real champ. Boxing needs more fighters like Khan not just willing but actually going and fighting the best fighters in their respectable division. Always wished the best for khan. If eh beats guerro then maidana rematch or porter even brook, would be great

Been put off due to injuries and college. Gained nearly 20kg since my last fight back in 2012 November mostly muscle though. As soon as exams are done in June, will step in the ring and start amateur boxing again, can't wait!

Did you even watch the fight? Ward almost got dropped in the 1st round with a jab, got outlanded, outworked and didn't land a significant punch. The hell you talking about?
Ward was shaken very well by that power jab by kovalev, you could see it by the little shake his body made and the the way his legs buckled..
However, he boxed well that round and landed a good amount of clean jabs, against that 1 punch that shaked him:boxing:
Yeah, it's tricky to judge that first round. It's like Ward outboxed Kovalev for the majority of the round but that 1 punch along with I think another that round messed Ward up pretty bad. I gave it to Kovalev on my scorecard, but easily could have given it to Ward.
Very tricky indeed, i understand why people would give it to kov but as you said, started well and outboard kov for the big majority of the round besides that 1 big jab
How the hell can he be an atg, when many of these guys still proving themselves and at the start of the career? Like an earlier post. porter no, spence still a prospect although very very promising, thurman would be a great win. Most these guys still green lmao, talking about atg already
Badou Jack clearly won the fight, and its disgraceful that he needed a knockdown to draw, let alone still lose the fight one of the cards!
He was much more efficient, showed great defence, landed cleaner, harder and more punches than Degale.
You do not score punches that were blocked and deflected. You score for work rate and effective aggression when the round is equal, boxing is hit and be hit first and foremost. Even the body language from Degale as the fight was progressing was increasingly getting negative.
Degale was throwing combos for the sake of it and not picking his shots compared to Badou.
Its a shame cause really, Degale moves better, more athletic and throws better combinations than Badou, but simply did not do anything effective.
