Gabe Rosado gave GGG all kinds of fits during their bout and his style is based off hopkins since they both trained in the same gym
GGG was getting outboxed by Rosado and he also almost got KTFO (standing 8 count lol) against feather fisted Bute in the amateurs, how funny.
BHOP manhandles him even now LOL
Actually, you don't have to see this... Hopkins retired already.
He'll have one more, that i'm pretty sure of.I'm not too sure who he'll fight though,he'll not want a bum like GGG for his last fight lol. He'll want someone a little more "well rounded" and with a reputation.
Hopkins was very crafty, but not flashy. Unfortunately for him, his prime years passed in the shadow of RJJ. RJJ beat him and then went to higher divisions. Hopkins continued to hone his craft and beat whoever was available in middleweight. Much like GGG. He was somewhat an outsider and felt that some money fighters were protected from him for a long time. This is also resembles GGG career path a lot. Luckily for Hopkins Tito was brave enough to fight him. In reality Hopkins always was a "dried out" LHW who competed in MW due to his dedication in the gym, which allowed him to make weight. He was naturally much bigger man than Tito. With DLH I convinced that there was some behind the scenes agreement between them - I think they already were in the process of becoming business partners. So this fight was just a spectacle...
My view on the fantasy match up with GGG is that nobody would have a decisive advantage - they both are extremely crafty and smart fighters. Maybe Hopkins's reach will give him an advantage and he'd win something like 7-5. GGG does not have any visible weaknesses - the notion that he is slow comes from the deliberate pace he takes to "strangle" his overmatched opponents. He definitely has a great engine and this fight will last for the whole 12 rounds with nobody fading - real war of attrition. I don't envision any legitimate knockdowns, but could be a lot of wrestling and body-slamming. Hopkins could get dirty and with impartial referee some points could be deducted. Then again - we really don't know GGG's cealing - the pressure he applies and his body work could be too much even for Hopkins.
Desperation is mounting the brother's are going into fantasy land to find a great Black hope to beat GGG comical
Excuses... within the context... instead of "brother's" try brothers'...
Oh since every current active fighter is avoiding GGG or getting exposed by GGG, you got nothing left but Hypothesis wet dreams and wishful thinking. BHop lost to Jermain Taylor.
Let me guess, you are black and just hate GGG for being white and because he exposes some of your beloved heros. You can't accept a white fighter becoming the face of the sport. Shame on you. Grow up and become a fan of the sport instead of becoming a fan of black fighters and a hater of white fighters.
You only seem to support white fighters when that helps putting another black fighter even on a higher pedestal.
Tell me your 5 favorite active fighters.
hop made it to the final bell. the whys and hows dont matter. im not concerned about call outs. everybody does it.
Of course.
B-Hop "passed the torch" as a gentleman. And Kovalev was aware of it.
old assed hop survived krusher, he would have been too cunning and ''street'' for 3g. a typically boring performance but a wide ud win for hop.
... B-Hop didn't "survive" Kovalev, because Kovalev didn't look to dispatch him.
.. B-Hop only called out GGG in order to somehow "save Canelo's face" at a certain point.
Hopkins never had problem with punchers in his prime. The most problems always the faster, athletic/dynamic fighters gave him.
Golovkin isn't dumb but he is a puncher as well and he doesn't have the hand or foot speed, or athleticism advantage over a prime Hopkins so he doesn't have advantage over him in the things which were important to beat Hopkins. He has mainly power advantage over him but that was never enough against a prime Hop...
I don't se Golovkin winning this and frankly I don't know why anybody sees it like that. Like... what indicates it in the two fighters' past?
hop wouldnt let 3g find a rhythm. i only mentioned old ass hop vs krusher as a barometer. a 35 y/o hop would really fnck with 3gs mind.
Lol.I vision Hopkins getting hit with one of those beautiful left hooks to the body ggg throws.I see Hopkins hitting the deck how De La Hoya hit the deck when Hopkins hit him with that body shot.

Really? Did you actually see that fight? Rosado's face looked like it was run through a meat grinder. Rosado's trainer threw in the towel for "fear of GGG killing Rosado." That was a direct quote from Rosado's trainer. It was a systematic beat down.
How you can tell this with so much certainty, if GGG didn't show any real vulnerabilities? Granted he didn't have the competition that would make him to dig deep and use all his skills. But these "I'm sure" statements are based on nothing really. They all sound like wishes and dreams, masquerading as predictions. "Hopkins would fnck with 3gs mind" - how in the world you could be sure of smth like that? In none of his fights GGG ever lost his cool. Again - this is just something you dream about, because you don't have facts to back this up.
How you dare to compare a face first brawler Rosado to any version of Hopkins?
prime, mw version of Hopkins beat Golovkin btw I have a little to no doubt about that
much more accomplished and proven fighter with tremendous ring IQ and adaptability plus Golovkin just in't the type of fighter which gave problems to the prime B-Hop.
It is incredible how deeply hurt this bunch by non-american and non-black fighter getting the attention. In one sentence they say that he "beat nobody and unproven", then they start to bring great fighters from the past and fantasize with juicy details how these greats would've beaten GGG. They didn't even see the contradiction. If GGG is such a non-commodity, why are you all so deeply hurt that you have to bring Hagler and Hopkins to beat him in imaginary match-up?
People, who are able to think, see right through your bunch...
cmon. hop been in there with everyone and no one has come close to ending him. 3g wouldnt know where to being to game plan a guy like hop.
Hopkins would be forced to fight,he'd be under pressure constantly. The way Hopkins kept his composure when he fought Kovalev and that was after the knock-down,do you think Hopkins would remain composed if GGG was hitting him? I highly doubt it,GGG would minimize that distance and destroy B-Hop.

I know with certainty that BHOP would have handled GGG with ease | BoxingScene Community
