In the States? Only Mayweather and Pacquiao! Mayweather because he is usually 6'6 300+lbs men around him with fuking TMT T-Shirts on so you can't help but recognize him lol Kinda shows you how much Boxing has fallen though which sucks

While none of them will ever be as popular as Ali.... Floyd Mayweather , Manny Pacquiao, Mike Tyson, Canelo Alvarez, Anthony Joshua, David Haye, Amir Khan, Justin Bieber, Lennox Lewis, Evander Hellifield, Klitschko's would all be recognised in public. I tried to watch a Bieber fight, had to switch the channel. The guy just dances about and edges the rounds based on pitty pat punches.

Why did boxers lose their fame among the public while footballers and basketball players are still celebs and recognisable by the public? That's the million dollar question isn't it. Personally I think boxing began marketing towards its diehard fans and not the casuals.

To be honest, no one. But that's not just reflective of boxing, it's kind of true of all athletes and/or entertainment stars. Remember when the Beatles couldn't walk down the street? The girls would flock to them, the adults would at least acknowledge their existence. I don't know who the biggest band or singer in the world is, maybe Beyonce? I don't think entire city blocks would flock to her, and I'd bet a solid portion of people over 40 wouldn't know who she was. With the advent of Twitter and other social media, plus the non-stop news cycles that have replaced actual current events with sensationalism surrounding celebrity, it's hard to cultivate the aura anymore. People have too much access to the life and times of celebrity's lives - their flaws and successes are dissected too much, people just aren't impressed anymore. I've had the pleasure of living in Los Angeles, New York, and London, and I can safely say I've seen A-listers walking around, getting their lunch, doing errands, and nobody, NOBODY cares. You might get a couple people walking by sneaking a selfie next to them or something, but for the most part, I think the luster of fame has worn off for a lot of people - they're too busy dealing with their own lives to get worked up to the point of wanting to sift through a crowd of people just to touch some dude they've seen on TV a few times... And honestly, that's probably a good thing.

I was watching this clip of Muhammad Ali (RIP) casually walking down a street and being surrounded by fans. Who do you think would be recognised the most and swamped by fans out of todays fighters?
