he can throw from any angle with power, really hard to defend against.
Has good jab, power in both hand. SNAPPING left hook that's very accurate..
Good chin too, doesn't get fazed at all when opponents land, doesn't get thrown off mentally when opponents land. VERY WELL DISCIPLINED fighter.
He's like an extremely disciplined pacman that doesn't engage in WILD brawls quite as much.
Only issue I have is that he can be wide open which Donaire may land a left hook, plus he doesn't seem to have good head movement to me. I'll need to watch whole fights of him rather than just highlights to see on that one.
Haven't watched this show for years but TBH Mo Farah is a multiple Olympic and World Championship Gold medallist at 5k and 10k.
He is also actually a better personality than AJ who is very bland. AJ did well but if he beats Parker, Wilder and Fury or any of those 2 next year, he should get it IMO.
41 year old Wald and Takam don't cut it.
Lewis Hamilton did a good job being the World Champion F1 driver but he seems to be disliked probably due to the tax issue and some don't like his aggressive driving style and moaning to his team during games. However I love his aggressive style since he first came onto the scene and nearly won it in his 1st season
I remember this too, however he has changed what he said at least 6 months a go. Yeah he wasn't ready then but he said he is now.
He is someone who says it like he feels it is, which doesn't always come across very well on some of his opinions mind you.
Sine 2000 Olympics boxing is on the rise. I'm from Hackney London and all our boxing gyms closed down at one point... Michael watson was from Hackney...
In 2004 Amir khan was the only boxer in the Olympics for us at 17... Now we put more into it.
They were both fouling in different ways.
If Rigo didn't duck so low and go into Loma to grab him etc... then there would have been less punches like that by Loma.
It certainly wasn't a clean fight. However that's not the reason why Rigo quit. Stop making excuses for a quitter because they CLEARLY stated a hand injury
Same gym as Herrol Graham (trainers son now), Prince naz, junior witter.
Kell Brook and kid galahad are there now. Generally they teach movement there, range, being on your toes and creating traps
Tyson vs Lewis
15,3000 attendance, 17.5 million gate, Tennessee
just fight in Vegas and keep it simple. Premium ticket prices always sell.
the British use football stadiums for big events and Hearn sells them at bone pricing just to say it's a sell out... Joshua vs Wilder wouldn't need such venues below:
Michigan Stadium 107,601 Ann Arbor
Beaver Stadium 106,572 University Park
Ohio Stadium 104,944 Columbus
Kyle Field 102,733 College Station
Tyson VS Lewis.
2 HOF and ATG's IMO. The biggest ever HW seller...
Wilder isn't even a household name in the US... AJ isn't known at all too
Wilder and Joshua are undefeated, and if they want to make a series they gotta start somewhere
Undefeated doesn't mean people will fly to LV for them.
It won't generate revenue that it would in the UK. People are paying to watch AJ on TV which is around 28 dollars.
If they fight in LV, it's a 4 or 5 am fight for UK fans so sales will be significantly hurt.
Unless Wilder actually can prove his fights sell PPV etc... then it's not happening. He's earning between 1-3 mil per fight ATM.
Many people who you think are good cheat, rob, steal etc... Shane should STFU because he was a cheat and what he knows of Canelo is not much at all today...
Ishe got Shane on this one.
If Deontay was there these two chickens would be under the table! What a mismatch, I just checked with my bookie and Joshua is a -900 favorite! and a pick on Parker pays at a incredible +500! These odds for a 'unification' ?!
Now we look at Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz and we got close to even money. I think even right now Luis Ortiz would be favored over Joey Parker, that's being honest.
The odds for Wilder and Ortiz were because Wilder sometimes looks like teens who street fight. You can see similar balance and punches thrown on Youtube
Easier said then done. Unless you are refusing to eat any meat period and just import all meat from another country no way to be 100% sure. You would have to stay 24/7 at the farms and slaightethouses to ensure none were contaminated and not eat at any restaurants. The NFL players who went there on vacation stayed at nice hotels and ate only at restaurants even had all his receipts to prove it and still tested positive. NFL and all the drug testing agencies said his levels just like canelo levels were low and consistent with food contamination studies. Only prevention NFL told it's players is if you do got to Mexico for a reason don't eat their meat.
From my understanding, the chemical is to help the animals grow quicker. I would then source my meat from an organic farm or butcher that doesn't use it. This would not be hard for a millionaire athlete.
Yes he may be restricted on where he eats, but he is a professional boxer.
The problem is the farms are not out there telling the public they use this stuff. The public doesn't know which do and don't nor do the restaurants and butchers who get the meat from the farms and slaughterhouses. Only way they would know is if they send their meat off to lab for testing. Again it sounds easy in hindsight. But it's a real problem in mexico. Sure canelo was probably naive thinking this wouldn't effect him. But he's not the first athlete to come into contact with contaminated meat in Mexico and likely won't be the last. The real solution is its probably time for canelo to move out of Mexico and eat nothing coming from that country. They don't have the standards and regulations to get this problem under control themselves.
3 Minutes on google found this website:
https://organic-select.com/productos-categorias.php?id_categoria=3
It even states: MEAT AND EGGS
Beef is grass grazed locally grown animals living the good life under blue skys in the cool hills of El Tuito. The animals are free of hormones or steriods. Eggs are from free range, grain fed hens. Chickens are conventional fresh hens, free of hormones or steriods or preservatives.
Canelo could afford pay them to send meat to him. Remember that athletes need to be careful on what they eat and must read every ingredient. Canelo is a top boxer in the world and should be very careful especially when there is history of tainted meat in your country.
Usually I say boxers do better in rematches VS Brawlers, but I will go for GGG even more this time. GGG has remained calm and Canelo is the one with a chip on his shoulder it seems. I feel GGG has struggled but he knows what to do to edge it. At 35 or so I do feel his prime is over but he has enough in the tank.
Abel has done a great job of distracting team Canelo.
Expected this to be boringly respectful between the two but that trailer looks pretty juicy.
Any idea when the full episode will be released?
Someone in another thread said Sunday before the fight
How does a sloppy fighter like Deontay become compubox leader in the HW division in terms of accuracy?
Compubox is very flawed. It is a human who presses a button. On replays you see many punches not landing of many fighters, but because they are fast, a click is done...
He is an athletic man who is tall, rangey, powerful and fast. However he has also faced not so stellar opposition who are easier to hit, and are less skilled or powerful so you worry about less.
It still does take away the fact that he goes very wild at times and looks like a street fighter with very little skill.
AJ and him hit about the same according to one sparring partner. However AJ is more active and hits you more. If Ortiz can make Wilder a bit shakey, then AJ certainly can.
Wilder got paid more vs the Russian even though the fight didn't happen.
However yes, 40 percent is the max he can realistically want. He doesn't bring enough money to the table and if aj bests parker, he only has one title and aj 3.
I believe he's not a villain or stupid, but actually has autism or something. He lacks a sense of right or wrong and his social skills seems way off.
I know someone who trains with him, and they say he's a good guy however. I am from Hackney so I will back him as a local to my area, but yes he comes across and unlikable to me.
I believe Khan may be rusty as **** tbh. His stamina will be affected and he is older now.
He probably will have the speed and yes he has sloppy footwork when he's tired and not the best defence, but Broner has one of the worse work rates and is very telegraphed tbh.
Khan wins like how he beat Paulie.
Joe says it himself, it was all natural and untaught. Back when he was a power puncher going for KO's in the first 10-12 years of his career, his ring generalship was **** - just stood square-on with chin high winging blows with very little movement.
His dad was a chain-smoking 'soccer' coach in the Welsh valleys to entry level junior teams who swore multiple times a sentance.
TBH a lot of his stoppages were early. We all know British refs stop people on their feet far too often... TKO TKO etc... The competition was also very weak at SMW.
Sven Otke?
He had power but was never a power puncher. Power punchers are known as Julian Jackson
I am a Calzaghe fan and even admit he slapped. Slaps can hurt, but it's all about the technique and where it lands.
It wasn't the Knuckle part but the knuckle of the finger. He use to swing inwards with arm punches. In fact it breaks the rules unless you hit with the knuckle part of a closed fist.
He had more technique in terms of power early on, and had to adapt due to damaging his wrists and hands during his career. He couldn't even do press ups and didn't spar much later in his career due to the injuries...
