I am an American boxing fans who never chants USA and appreciates good boxers no matter where they come from. England was the birthplace of boxing and the UK has many good fighters as Saunders just showed us.I know the size and population of the UK. Texas is much bigger than any other state and the USA has lots of good fighters too like Crawford, Spence and Thurman. I never use football as an excuse because not even one USA heavyweight champ of the past would have been good enough at football to make a living at it. Football isn't robbing us of good boxers because boxing and football are two completely different sports with different requirements. Many of us American boxing fans appreciate a good UK boxer just as much as we would appreciate an American boxer of equal quality. Saunders and Eubank are looking great to me now and AJ and Fury are two of the best heavyweights.
Trust me,African Americans are just too good at Physical Sports.I dont know the name of all your Major Sports,NBA,NFL take probably more than 70% of the Talent away.We need America back onsite for Boxing,it is still the mecca and the holy place for Boxing.MGM,Las Vegas,HBO you cant top that ****.What is the Problem with US Boxing,is it because all of the fights are hidden behind PPV.I feel sorry for you lot,you shouldnt have to pay $100 for fights. From a Outsider looking in Mayweather has killed your Boxing,His fights has drained your market and the Pacquiao Match didnt live up to it's hype.Tbh,the whole world was angry at Mayweather for the fight.
Sine 2000 Olympics boxing is on the rise. I'm from Hackney London and all our boxing gyms closed down at one point... Michael watson was from Hackney...
In 2004 Amir khan was the only boxer in the Olympics for us at 17... Now we put more into it.
This thread predictably turned into a **** show soon enough once it filled up with 'patriots'.
I'm expecting that come next year British World Champs will fluctuate greatly again as at the moment there's a lot of money here so weak champions (like Ali, Traux etc) will be over here selling their titles whilst weaker British champions will undoubtedly lose theirs!
Americans like you make me laugh it's bittersweet to hear you talk like that.Everyone knows around the globe Americans have a intellectual Problem which is impossible to cure. They dont teach you that the UK is the size of Texas or equivalent to one US State.Bearing in Mind,UK probably has a quarter of Boxing gyms the US has, nevermind the difference in Coaching Quality between America and Britain. You Retards have all the advantages and should be dominating the Sport but you dont. Are you going to use the American Football bull**** excuse,Football,Rugby,Cricket,Darts are all more popular sports than Boxing in the UK and we can still match you in most divisions. For your Population and Resources the Stereotype is right,u pricks are a bunch of overweight, spoiled, entitled nation.I am an American boxing fans who never chants USA and appreciates good boxers no matter where they come from. Can't remember how out all panned out. If i'm right :
Fury was stripped. Frampton vacated his titles, moved up, won a title then lost it. Bellew vacated.
Haskins lost his to Burnett. Burns to Indongo, Crolla to Linares, Brook to Spence. DeGale to Truax.
Flanagan, Joshua, Yafai, Selby, BJS still have theirs. If counting 'regulars' McDonell has vacated (i think) and Cleverly lost his to Jack.
the threadstarter is an arab what the **** does this guy Know about boxing lol, his race cannot fight to save their lives!
what does race have to do with anything???? gtfoh man you're such a fvcking b1tch, just talk boxing or get out this race sh1t is annoying
If we take that you mean GB, the population is ~66 million.
The population for Mexico and the United States is ~445 million.
So per capita the British are much better off.
MUUUUCH better off, not to mention Britain has had far superior amateur boxers, titles and medals in recent years.
Really?
AJ is king at heavyweight.
Groves is likely the best upset middle and his closest competitors are brits also lol
BJS is the best middleweight outside of GGG and possibly Canelo.
Oh look.. another thread where someone from a country that has a populace 5x time the size gloats that they have 2x the world champions..
It doesn't matter where youre from.. half the champs are undeserving when you truly look into their records or analyse who they could face or would lose to if they did face..
Champs are where the money is.. not necessarily where who the best are. The UK when we had the same amount of champs not too long ago probably had 2 thirds that would have got smashed if they faced the best in their division ... The same goes for half of the boxers from the states.
Team USA full of inactive fighters.
Pathetic Boxing Champions = PBC.
I'd rather see them disappear forever.
This kind of silly thread is pointless... 7 "world" champs isn't bad for a small country like the UK. (population: just over a fifth of the US).
The fact that Deontay Wilder is listed as a US champ says a lot.
UK for their population are extremely good at boxing goes without saying.
UK had more world champions than USA last year, USA has more now, maybe next year UK will have more again we'll see.
Russia and Ukraine seem to have the most P4P type talents thats pretty obvious,
UK I would say have better prospects than the USA coming up, cause we have better amateurs than yanks. So the future will be better for the UK. Theres a long list of UK talent coming up.
USA have everything on a plate. Tv deals, promoters, privelege, corrupt Judges and referess like in the Kovalev- Ward fights. They make up approx 50% of all active registered pro boxers, yet they still don't dominate. You have a high quantity of boxers yet you lack the quality,
Lets be real - USA are only doing well in the 147 and 154 divisions thats it.
Middleweight up to heavyweight it's all about the UK and Eastern Europeans.
This isn't a thread bashing the UK, I'm just wondering what happened, I was amazed of how much champs were British not too long ago, now it's less than half of before
I'm the one who's biased?? Have you reread what you wrote??
And yes, I do know who Johnson is. He was a very good fighter but nothing more. Most of who he fought were bogus.
Yeah Too Sharp Johnson isn't HOF worthy IMO I agree.
But he's been inducted already.
I give any fighter who's good attention. Doesn't matter what weight they are. Johnson was very good no doubt, but you've got to admit a lot of the fighters he fought weren't very good?
Isn't that the same for every fighter? Johnson got his share of quality wins in too and did so in such a fashion it's hard to deny him as being a worthy hall of famer.
Not really it's just those weights don't get the same attention but he beat some very good Mexican fighters in addition to other very good fighters. Before he got locked up and got a little old he was completely untouchable. A complete fighter.

Obviously you have a bias but have you seen Mark Johnson fight? He was a special fighter.

Holyfield, Mosley, Toney, Jones and Tarver are drug cheats. They don't belong.
Bowe, Forrest, Wright, Tarver and Johnson are laughable. They don't come close to belonging in the HOF.
Forrest and Tarver over Froch and Hatton??? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Thanks for the laugh. I think i'll leave it there.
P.S I forgot to include Benn and Eubank in that time period.
Obviously you have a bias but have you seen Mark Johnson fight? He was a special fighter.
I'll try and I'll use Hatton and Froch as the cutoff point (as I wouldn't vote either in)
Holyfield
Tyson
Bowe (wouldn't have voted him but he's in like Hamed)
Jones
Toney
Hopkins
Mosley
Wright
Crawford (he'll make it)
De La Hoya
Too Sharp Johnson
Tarver (he deserves it more than Hatton or Froch but I wouldn't vote him)
Forrest (wouldn't vote but again over Froch and Hatton I would)
Mayweather
I don't know if you have to X by 5 but I get what your saying. In that case Puerto Rico takes a fat dump on ANY nation then.
Anyway I hate when people make Boxing a nationalist thing and only root for fighters from a country and have to make such topics. It wreaks of insecurity and it's not a team sport it's an individual sport and I've never cared where a fighter is from.

Hahahahaha P4P is controlled by the Americans. Anyone who listens to them idiots needs their head testing. They actually have Wilder in the top 10 over AJ.
Why don't we do HOF worthy fighters over the last 25 years, hey?
Lennox Lewis
Ricky Hatton
Carl Froch
Joe Calzaghe
Naseem Hamed
As your country has 5 times the population, you'll need to give me 25 Americans that are HOF worthy?
You typical stupid American. Give me those names, son.

LOL!...keep clinging to bullsh*t that doesn't matter....where's all your TOP PFP Professionals?
You've had like 2 fleeting Top 5 PFPers in 25 years!...the Jamaican-Canadian, Lewis and "Above Average" Joe Calzaghe...that is terrible.
Yes really...thank you for proving my point.
"But, but we have Groves and Saunders!"....lol
