I see Hatton having a lot of heart and determination but getting stopped in the later rounds . I'm neutral on this fight and i've got alot of respect for Hatton , but I don't think he'll pull this one off tbh .Good luck to both fighters . .No chance , I don't think it goes a few rounds , what Roach says. Hattons got to have more heart than that .I've read his book and it tells you about the hard work he put in o beat Kostya Tszyu , then Tszyu quit after the 11th
Look at my sig, he was wobbled.
A we tiny bit if any.I think Valuev done enough to get the decision especially in Germany.Maybe if it was in England. All the talk about Haye's going to get robbed then the complete opposite happens. What a load of bollocks.
Yes, I was one of the ones that said Hatton would beat Pacquiao. I thought his style would prevent Manny from doing what he loves to do. In fact, if Hatton's chin was better, it probably would've been a tough fight for Manny. But that's beside the fact, Pacquiao is the better fighter. No doubt about it.
My point is that Ricky Hatton is wrongfully treated like he's a bum on here now just because he lost to Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
The fact is Ricky could beat 99% of the fighters out there, but because he came up short against two greats, he's nothing. Take a look at 140 pounds. Do you honestly believe Ricky is not one of the best there? Are you saying people like Victor Ortiz are better than Ricky now, just because of a loss to a great? It's dumb.
Ricky Hatton could probably beat everyone at 140 outside of Pacquiao and Marquez. That says a lot, but it says more about the high expectations that were set on Ricky after the Tszyu fight.
He was given a crown that was bigger than his head, and for that, Ricky is met with disregard and disrespect in the end. If I was a boxer I'd be proud to have a record like Ricky Hatton, and I wouldn't regret my losses either.
Hatton has been a great fighter and a great character in boxing, and he deserves his credit.
I don't know what's wrong with his chin tbh . I somehow think it's the weight a bit because a few years ago he could take a Kostya Tszyu straight right hand but all of a sudden people say it's week , maybe it would be stronger at 147 . Maybe he's just used to losing that much weight and doesn't realise he's having to work that bit harder in his old age and it's effecting his performance . I would like to see him giving 147 a shot before he retires tbh .
I think a couple of Domestic Tilts.. Witter and Khan .. and then off to the sunset for Him.. I am thinking not too many people are going to pay to watch him get KO'd in America anymore.. But those 2 fights would still be big in the UK..
I know you'r maybe right there , 25 000 fans to Vegas maybe not . Could probably still do a football stadium in England tho against a big name
I don't know for sure. That's just a video I found.I sort of edge towards Mayweather because I don't think an extra couple of days would do any harm really.
this fight better happen.
if Khan vactes to avoid Maidana, then the small amount of respect I still have for him is gone, and gone for good.
Aye mate cool.Hopefully they get it on.That's the bottom line.I think Roach will decide and do the talking. If he think's Khan's ready he'll take it.The thing is but if he thinks he can move Khan up another level and make him better later he might not because Maidana could not only beat Khan he could destroy him and ruin his career. Then he could be fighting tomato cans for the rest of his career.
I'm nuetral in this fight because I like both fighters but I think Pacman will be to fast for Hatton and i've got a feeling he'll win . Pacman will probably be faster tonight than he was against Oscar
After watching countless hours of footage in the build up to this fight, 24/7, Sky's studio countdown, various interviews etc. I notice that Roach and Co seem to be expecting Hatton to "revert back to his old ways".
Watching 24/7, they seem to be training for the inevitable Hatton rough housing, bullying tactics.
Isn't it too much of a gamble to concentrate most of your training on an assumption that your opponent even denies? What if Hatton pressures forward but uses angles instead of wrapping his arms around Pac? Something old Floyd and Ricky both agree on, and have obviously trained for.
Malignaggi and a lot of people in these forums were taken by surprise the same way. A lot of people thought Malignaggi would simply tame Hatton as he charged forward, but it was in fact Malignaggi that was out boxed. I know Malignaggi is not Pacman, but I'm making the point that camps assume the wrong things and trrain for the wrong fight.
Should Roach really be concentrating so much on Hatton and his past wrestling style fights?
I know what your saying but it's because they think Malignaggi couldn't hurt Hatton . I watched it and Roach was watching the Malignaggi fight and says as soon as he gets hurt he goes back to his old ways .
Mix him up with a few of the supersix at a catchweight or 175 .They'll get alot better payday against Calzaghe than the supersix so a we move up would be well worth it .

He said he was going to start training again .He looks in good shape .Wonder if he can still lift anywhere near as much as his prime
Here's the wbo rankings if anyone's interested . Kevin Mitchells the inter-continental champ and gets trained in Cook camp . I remember he was talking about a wbo shot and said he wouldn't take one if Cook had the belt , instead he'd try and get a wba shot .

Margarito would be a punch bag for Pacquiao I think .I would like to see him moving up to 154 .I take my hat off to him .He's more or less destroyed everybody at WW .Cotto and Clottey .Pacquiao Berto would be worth a watch or Williams or Cintron at 154.
I agree. Danny Williams was totally robbed in that fight with VK:
1. Danny Williams was not hurt. He was so confident that he was beating Vitali that he was practicing dance moves all over the ring.
2. He fell on the cavass 4 times because he was laughing so hard at how weak Vitali was.
3. That red stuff all over his face and ring was hotsauce, not blood. Williams was so confident he was eating chicken wings between rounds.
4. The ref saved Vitali from further damaging his hands off of Williams indestructible chin.
5. Vitali's camp paid off the commission to make it count as a TKO win for him, and Williams had no objection because he is already the all knowing unquestionable ruler of the Universe.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahah
Roman Martinez (21-0, 12KOs) wants to become the next superstar of Puerto Rico. He travel to Manchester on March 14 to challenge WBO super featherweight champion Nicky Cook (29-1, 16KOs) on the undercard to Khan-Barrera at the MEN Arena. Martinez fought his way to a mandatory shot and wants to join the ranks of other Puerto Rican champions like Ivan Calderon, Miguel Cotto and Juan Manuel Lopez. Cook is coming off last September's upset decision over Alex Arthur. details]
I'm looking forward to this fight , roll on next weekend :boxing:
