I disagree. The first fight was epic, the second not so great, and the third had its moments.
IMO the best trilogy is either Vazquez-Marquez (soon to be a quadrilogy?) or Bowe-Holyfield.
*edit* the word for a group of four in this case would be tetralogy.
I love all those trilogies. Morales/Mab has a special place with me because I was such a huge Morales fan. I could see the first fight being a draw with the second for Morales and third for Barrera but I felt Morales was stronger at the end of the third fight even thought he clearly lost.
the Gatti/Ward trilogy was awesome, just incredible toe to toe action. You can take nothing away from what those 2 gave to boxing.
The Rafa/Vasquez trilogy was great too and is also one of my faves, I just think Izzy is too big and is a natural for the weight so he has the edge and will probably win the 4th fight. Rafa should have fought more other guys in the division and adjusted into it more. I think the nose injury of Izzy in the first fight was a fluke and he would have won the fight if it wasnt for that.
How better?
Izzy quit in the first one and in the second one rafa got stopped in the sixth. Only the third one was a beautiful back and forth match that went all 12.
EM-MAB went all 12 with every round being exciting.
Sure bro.
Why you gave nme red K, pussy? Dont you know when someone is being sarcastic!!
Fukking pendejo lambe bicho :peeright:rabagiyo
Gatti Ward had one amazing fight but the other too were extremely one sided towards gatti............frazier ali, holyfield bowe, barrera morales and rafa vazquez all make gatti ward 2 and 3 out as some hyped up bullshit by hbo , it really is, true story, lol, nyahahahaha
I don't talk about him much anymore because he's gone now, but Erik is one of my favorite fighters of all time.
I can't ****ing stand Barrera though.
Barrera is the mexican version of Floyd.
He talked too much shit but unlike Floyd he didn't do it for promoting a fight, He did it out of hate and because he was a f*cking asshole:nonono:.
He's a dirty fighter...but possibly one of the greatest dirty fighters of all time.
Izzy-Rafa.
As previously mentioned, this trilogy got better with each fight. The skill and brutality of it is something to behold.
Also, unlike Barrera-Morales, the trilogy of the fight was decided in the final moments of the final round of the third fight. Truly dramatic and climactic stuff.
The fact that they stopped each other in back to back fights and set up a masterpiece 12 rounder is far more dramatic than 3 12 rounders that all had questionable judging.
Morales won the first one but should've lost. Barrera won the second but shouldve lost. And Morales looked like shit in the 3rd one and actually deserved to lose but the fight was so so.
Izzy/Rafa had much more drama and the outcomes were totally complete and without controversy.
Although I think the ref stopped the 2nd fight too fast and Rafa got robbed on the cards in the 3rd w/ the bullshit deduction from that idiot Pat Russel.
I do agree that I thought that Rafa edged the third one, It's all a matter of taste. Since I'm a big Morales fan I enjoyed watching those three fights a lot. I know you're a big Marquez brothers fan so I know you enjoy watching them fight.
To each it's own I guess :D.
They could hate each other all they want. But their fights got progressively worse not better.
Izzy Rafa got better and better with each match.
How better?

Sure bro.
Izzy/Rafa and its not even close.
Gatti/Ward 1 was excellent but the series deteriorated after that w/ Gatti winning the next 2 easily.
MAB/EM 1 was great, but again, the next 2 fights deteriorated in quality. Not as much as Gatti/Ward but they did.
Izzy/Rafa got better with every fight like a fine mother****ing wine.
If Castillo would've made weight for the 3rd Corrales fight, they might've given Izzy/Rafa a run for their money.
No way.
EM- MAB was three great fights, One was a brawl, One was more technical and the third one was a war as well but not as much as the first one with both being more careful. You have to put in every aspect of each trilogy. These two dudes HATED each other, Talked so much shit to each other and even MAB punched Erik in the press conference. Two of the top guys in the division and true enemies.
EM-MAB is the most amazing one in my book.
Seriously at least in Izzy vs. Rafa or MAB - EM it was top guys in their divisions...Gatti vs. Ward was just two semi-elite guys brawling..Yeah it was a great fight and a great trilogy but doesn't even come close to EM - MAB or Izzy - Rafa
