I never want to see Dave Allen on my screen again.
Total bum, has no business getting any big fights or even medium sized fights.
Was a total waste of time for everyone as expected but the way Hearn was talking it looked like he got a big pay day and is set for life now, so good on him, seems like a nice guy.
No idea how he can go toe to toe with Benavidez then get stopped by a school teacher. Boxing is wild. Morrell is definitely one of the strangest fighters in recent times. Has it all but sort of sucks.
Great win for Chelli. Morrell never acclimated to 175 and rushed into Benavidez. He may be shot now.
He looks small for the weight, is he off the juice? He has no much potential but I think the Benavidez fight ruined his confidence. He has looked timid since. He beat HotRod easily who is a solid fighter.
I'm shocked he lost like that.
Thats fine but is he gonna fight top level guys?
Or is he just gonna fight bums and blame bivol?
Can this fat, undisciplined, drunk cokehead even make 175 again?
Bivol is fighting a bum next month. Who did David just fight?
huh huh huh
bivol has said he will fight the fight with the most pay attached to it
thats a new stance from the next fight is beter III
its means both opponents are in the mix for next fight
happy days
now its up to the promoters to make some offers
u dig?
Good now try again and answer my question.
:D:D
odd take
totally normal to say whoever pays the most i will fight
last i read bivol beter III was the fight being made, now its either david or beter whichever pays better
u not understanding this?
Normal? When has David ever said that?
After watching Opetaia’s last fight I think Benavidez not only beats him but stops him.
Bivol will be a much tougher bout, but also it will be much tougher to get him in the ring with Benavidez. As we have seen already. And with Eifert and the Beterbiev trilogy already planned for this year.
Jai couldn't even keep that bum Glanton off him or even stop him. David stops them both on the same night. None of those guys can handle the speed, power, accuracy and volume. That combination in boxing is just lethal.
Apparently David was 205 at fight night. He busts Jai up badly. Too fast and too good defensively. People been sleeping on his skills, some of his most damaging punches were counters on Zurdo.
Benavidez never looks tense. He has such a relaxed, laconic style and just explodes off of it. A very impressive performance.
That comes from sparring champions from 14 years old. He has lived in the gym since he was a child. He is a fighting prodigy.
I said it years ago, this guy is special, a phenom. This was a true P4P elite performance and guess what he debunked the weightbully bs made up by Canelo fans. After all it turned out Benavidez did what he did to all the "small" guys and even in more devastating and dominant fashion because the unique thing about him is not his size.
Underrated defense, underrated reflexes, underrated composure in the pocket, handspeed phenomenal and one of the most natural FIGHTERS ever to lace up gloves.
He is complete. The defense and counter punching in the pocket was art. That last sequence had it all. People focus on the flashy combinations but there is much more behind that. He can really do it all, a complete fighter. Casuals focus on his footwork but it works for his style. Nobody can mess with him. He is one of the best fighters I have ever seen.
He beat a middlewight Andrade at 168.
He beat the worst version of Gvozdyk ever.
He beat the fatest version of Zurdo ever.
And fanns are like...ohhh..p4p king lol..
Don't get me wrong. He is a very good boxer. Amazing handspeed. But his footwork still basic.
Keep hating loser. This ain't ballet.
I hope David grabs the mic after he beats Zurdo and dogs out Canelo and calls him every name under the sun. He is too respectful so I don't expect that.
Not sure how they are comparable? Don't really fight the same either, in fact nobody fights like Benavidez. I can't recall someone with his unique combination of skills and style, the way he can throw hands for a big guy nuts. Plus he has the skill to back it up after growing up as a kid sparring world champions. He is built different.
I'm shocked Xander took this fight, good on him. He is too young though and lacks the power to get Boots respect. Competitive for a while before Boots starts getting to him and stops him.
I don't think it will be "easy". He'll have to bamboozle Itauma for a few rounds before he stops him. I don't have any certainty when you get a BIG, TALL heavyweight who has hands that fast. As I'm thinking about it now, I can see how Usyk might pick him apart and finish him, because slow, flat-footed Franklin gave him quite a few little issues. Usyk is 10 times better and fitter than Franklin....AND MUCH FASTER.
Usyk could not dismantly AJ easily and went to a SD with him but he dismantles and stops Itauma? Ye ok.
Itauma stops Usyk.
Ryan has speed and timing , thats the reason he destroyed Devin
Ryan has the range, speed and timing and is a dangerous fight for Shakur
Teo has a T rex arms
And power.
Where is the bravado Hitchins displayed during the final press conference?!?!
It seems inevitable now in any championship level fight card that a prize fighter withdraws. I wonder if this trend has anything to do with weight bullies being held accountable? Regardless, fines and stripping of rank and titles should follow.
All these americans down there are massive weight bullies. Hitchens is a MW like Boots.
It didn't make sense to the world but it made sense to Canelo - he knew he couldn't handle the hand speed, high volume and unorthodox shot selection of Benavidez. He also knew full well it wouldn't be the type of fight that he'd lose on points.
He knew it was the type of fight he would get stopped and quit on his stool.
Neither. Benavidez is the guy and its hilarious how he keeps being ignored. If he goes up 25lbs and beats Zurdo he should be ahead of any other american. 25lbs is the biggest weight jump in the sport.
No doubt about it no other active fighter is as good, don't come at me with Usyk, he's nowhere NEAR that dominant.
Teo was the first opponent in 6 fights that was either a champ or former champion. That makes you p4p 1? ...lol
I still would back Canelo Alvarez to beat David Benavidez at 175 pounds 'stylistically it is still a fight, straight up Alvarez's street'.
Christ how delusional do you need to be to believe that in 2026. lmao. It would be a mismatch.
