Why?? No one trys to pull Jordan out of retirement to see if someone like bruce bowen can guard him.. He's already graduated top of his class by miles, no need for any more tests.
If he beats oscar... he will only achieve wealth not greatness.. Oscar's performance versus forbes was laughable at best.. Margo's work rate would be a mare and half for oscar.. Doubt he would even consider the fight after seeing this.
At the same time.. Margo is an emotonial fighter and confidence is massive part of his game.. this win will only elevate his future performances. Clotty is a tough nut to crack but will have his hands full with Judah.
bottom line is.. the only thing left for him to do at 47 is avenge his L against P williams.. Delahoya doesnt offer much, i dont know how ppl still have faith in him. The guy is only a fragment of his old self and hasn't done nothing impressive since his win in 02 over Vargas..It would be a pointless mexican v mexican affair.
He could but he wouldn't.. He'd do it, but effectively.. Fair enough cotto counterd well for the first six rounds but at the expense of his body being worked rapidly. Floyd's body would never be tagged that often and his counter punching/defense cannot be compared to cotto's as its on a different level.
Well Wiley said that Hatton is gonna apply the same type of pressure as Juan did and I'm saying Hatton doesn't fight like Juan. When Juan is up close he bangs to the body or does his quick combination to the head.
What Hatton does is clinch and clinch some more. See Hatton/Urango for examples. He had a come forward fighter in front of him and he clinched his way to victory.
As far as Casamayor being done. I don't buy that, let them fight and I bet you it will be the toughest fight of Juan's career. He will probably escape by some kind of decision but I guarantee that fight will be close.
Agreed, hatton throws less and throws less efficently. However, when he (once in a blue moon, when hes not wrestling) lands, he lands with some thunder. Juan Diaz's punches look good but are not designed to hurt the oppenent. And when talking about beating floyd.. if you can't hurt him, than forget about it, you feel?
I dunno about Casa to be honest.. He was missing his step last year on ESPN fight nights. And his last fight against a worn out rapidly declining fighter that was struggling to make weight (R.I.P) , was far from impressive.. But than again he always has a boxers chance since Juan Diaz has never fought a slick soutpaw such as Casa.
I reckon this will not be as competetive as many think. Juan Diaz will overwhelm Julio and should get a comfortable UD. Neutrally, hope I'm wrong..
Word, people are sleeping on Juan Diaz.. And as for him being hype.. He's no miranda.. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Juan Diaz will win this fight convincingly! His superior handspeed and tenacity will prove to be the difference. Don't be suprised if he can stop Julio inside 9.
God Damn you're good baby!!
I would love to see B-Hop vs Pavlik / Hopkins doesnt get hit much and would be a much better opponent than Taylor.. Let me hear all the haters now.....
Bhop would not let Pavlik get full extension on his punches and would pick him apart inside. He would methodically grind out a victory. Personally, I wouldn't be interested in this match up as they're bigger fish to fry for Bernard..
let's see.. cameras around you the whole time, lots and lots of interviews/talking. Now, examine the language barrier.
English speakers:
Floyd- Yes
Hatton- Yes for the most part, fuckin manc bastard
Shane- Yes
Cotto- No
Im right with ya! I have followed Juan for about 5-6 years now and he is the real deal. Everyone that doesnt know him, soon will. Maybe not after this fight, but he'll be known very soon. This kid is good.
Mate, i'm in the same boat.. Superstar in the making, even after he wins this fight It will take a few more fights against big name opposition before he really gets the respect that's due.
damn.. doesn't take much to get people excited in here..
let me guess.. this moves him past floyd in the p4p rankings.. and he easily KO's pac 30 seconds in round 1.

Maybe except the Baby Bull doesn't clinch every 5 seconds like Hatton does. He also isn't as explosive with his punches as Diaz.
I say forget about looking for opponents out of your weight class.
Judan Diaz has Joel Casamayor to worry about. Another slick boxer. If he can beat him then I might be convinced that he is capable of hanging with the Floyd.
Agree with you for the most part.. But Casa has not been the same since he suffered that loss to Castillo a few years back. Diaz is way too fresh for him. You're right though he should clean his division up. Not too sure about you're comparison with Hatton..
He looks like david blaine after he spent 44 days in the glass box over london tower bridge.
Here is Cotto making weight at the weigh in, someone please post this pic so everyone can see it.
