Mosley- Cotto is not a big enough fight, neither really has a personality outside of the ring AND not enough intrest. It will be lucky to do 225,000 buys on PPV while Mayweather and Hatton will do millions.

HBO isn't even plugging the Cotto/Mosley fight during their fights. They mention Hatton/Mayweather and Jones/Trinidad though. I don't think Mosley/Cotto needs a 24/7 show, but it wouldn't hurt to plug it every once in a while.

If ever there were two fighters made for a 24/7 it would be Mayweather and Hatton.

This is the biggest contrast in personalities, so it makes for the best television. You get to choose a side, get introduced to a fighter, and you get a charismatic draw in, in the first place. It works better than Cotto/Mosley who are both too nice, nothing EXCITING about them, outside the ring. They don't BORE me, they just don't intrigue me, either. Also, Kessler/Calzaghe, for example, are two guys America is not TOO familiar with. That doesn't work too well. Finally, you HAD Taylor/PAVLIK, but neither guy is that big of a contrast, either. Both were nice guys. Taylor tried to act like a bad guy, I didn't buy it. I doubt many did. Mayweather/Hatton works the best.

I think they should make a 24/7 for each fucking fight. That would be hot. Something to watch on every saturday. I mean I don't mind watching the show. I personally think that Mayweather Hatton 24/7 is going to be better than Mayweather, De La Hoya 24/7 I think they should do the regular 30 minute shows for big fights and 24/7 for the marquee fights whoever the two fighters may be. That is just me though I don't like to much of the same thing and 24/7 should be used for special occasions./

Taylor vs Pavlik was big. Cotto vs Shane Mosley is gonna be big. Those are all big names. Yeah, but I don't think they would have had enough stuff for Taylor vs Pavlik, that and Taylor was in secert training place anyway so I doubt Manny would let cameras up there anyway. Cotto and Shane I guess could have had one, but I think Cotto with his boring personality would have turned people off. Floyd has a really outgoing (jerk I guess) type personality which makes people notice him (whether you like him or hate him) And Hatton has a really down to earth with the fans type guy which'll bring viewers in. So I think they stuck with that because they knew they have potential to get a lot more viewers that way.

Cotto is a cyborg and Mosley is a boring nice guy. Mayweather and Hatton are both charismatic and interesting. Not saying the fight will be better or even as competitive, just personality wise the other two are trumed by Mayweather and Hatton. Taylor/Pavlik had their own 30 minute countdown show like other major fights. Mayweather/Hatton is a MARQUEE fight so it gets the extra exposure. Although I do think 24/7 would help the marketability of many fights.
