Is this guy the biggest tool or what. I was watching pac bar 2 and all he was doing was talking about what steward and merchant were saying. does this guy even follow boxing or is he just a tool.
Lampley? did you hear merchant tonight? i was embarassed for the guy... i was a merchant fan until tonight, he finally alienated everyone, even people who were loyal to him. it just was terrible timing for that little speach he gave.
You mean the speech about how ridiculous it was to have the fight in Chicago? I'm not a big fan of Merchant, but that was awesome. I loved seeing Don King squirm behind that shit-eating grin while Larry criticized his venue choice. Say anything you want to about Merchant, but the man has balls.

For me don't get me wrong I like lamply but it seems like he just "wings his statements enough for me to make this post in the first place. I have enjoyed through the years his commantery, however at times more so than I would like he says somthing and I just go "what". Granted merchant does that all the time but I don't know I expect lamply to be sharper. At times it seams like lamply is not paying attention to whats going on or his commonetary about how a fighter is is wrong. kinda bugs me, I guess I expect more from him than is real.

Lamply can come up lame sometimes, no doubt. But, he did a fair job on Pac-Barrera II (I just saw it again, too), especially when at the end Manny said Pac may have problem with a decision. Lampley responded, "well Lederman has Pacquiao up 10 rounds to 1." That was a good response to Steward's shit.
He's pretty knowledgable of a lot of sports, period. With announce teams, you have parts. The guy who's boxed. The guy who's been there through a lot. And the guy who bring sit all together, with most of the calling of the fight. He fights the third role pretty well.
