I think Julio Diaz will win tonight.

In my very own opinion, I dont think Pac deserves 2nd in P4P. I think Floyd is clearly above him which is obvious number 1. Winky I think is still there above him as well as Bhop. Winky came up and clearly beat JT. If it wouldnt have been HBO it would have been a clear win. Obviously I still think BHOP still is the best technical fighter we have to offer. He simply doesnt get hit.

I've talked so much crap about Juan through the years. I will no longer call him "Baby Bullsh*t. He is definitely starting to earn my respect. Julio's a solid fighter, not an elite. there are of course the obvious question marks that still have not been answered . I've always admired his workrate though. Man, I don't know 'bout my boy PAC facing this cat! P4P PAC is still heads and shoulders above Juan , but that size difference is definitely gonna be a factor against PAC plus the workrate. If PAC can carry his agility and actually uses his god given footspeed to 135lbs, then I give PAC a legit shot at beating Juan. I want to see PAC against a sturdy veteran 135lb journeyman, just to see how his power and movement is. Manny rehydrated to 144 lbs for the MAB fight last week. 135 is definitely his natural weight these days so he's going to have to make it happen or lose trying.

I would love to see B-Hop vs Pavlik / Hopkins doesnt get hit much and would be a much better opponent than Taylor.. Let me hear all the haters now..... Bhop would not let Pavlik get full extension on his punches and would pick him apart inside. He would methodically grind out a victory. Personally, I wouldn't be interested in this match up as they're bigger fish to fry for Bernard..

Katsidis would get beat down. He is soft on his chin and has shaky balance. Juan would tap his chin and Michael would be on the backfoot. I dont think he has the strength to keep Juan off either. Naah Katsidis isn't on his level. The fight would be action packed until Katsidis would get broken down. His defense is totally non existent. Julio Diaz at least has some defense (although he did get tagged quite frequently tonight) and looks like Pernell Whitaker compared to Katsidis when being able to block a punch with a glove. Larry was on point. Don King doesnt care about promoting young stars like Arum does. This fight should have been in Texas to help build Juan as a star.

just like i predicted, late tko =P... after the freitas fight i was really impressed with juan diaz. he just has too much stamina and always goes forward and maybe he doesnt have a destructive punch power, but the build up damage he makes its amazing. also he has the balls and has a good chin. also he always fucks up the rythm of his opponents and that always make that the fights goes the way he wants and also that makes that their opponents tired more quickly. i remember that after the freitas fight a lot of people start saying he was a quitter....well i didnt think so then and after today everyone could tell that it was just that juan forces just too much on their opponent.

He's gotta back Juan up. Juan can go jab for jab and punch for punch with Julio and still outbox him. Kid's got alot of versatility. Only way to beat this guy is to back him up and be a fast power puncher. Sticking and moving wont do it unless your name is Manny Pac b/c he punches from all angles. Fight just got stopped.....Juan by TKO. I thought Julio was looking good when he jabbed and moved side to side, but he didn't even try that at all. Juan comes forward without any jab at all but Julio wasn't able to take advantage of that. Anyway, good fight, you just basically described Michael Katsidis in your post. I think Katsidis is the stronger guy and won't be bullied or frustrated by Juan. Katsidis also throws exclusively only bombs so it would be interesting to see how Juan takes them. Juan will probably fight David now, but I wouldn't mind seeing Juan-Michael instead.

The best word to describe Juan Diaz is "buzzsaw." He DOES NOT stop the entire three minutes in a round. Manny Pacquiao's got a real challenge ahead of him in 2008.

I reckon this will not be as competetive as many think. Juan Diaz will overwhelm Julio and should get a comfortable UD. Neutrally, hope I'm wrong.. Word, people are sleeping on Juan Diaz.. And as for him being hype.. He's no miranda.. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Juan Diaz will win this fight convincingly! His superior handspeed and tenacity will prove to be the difference. Don't be suprised if he can stop Julio inside 9. God Damn you're good baby!!

Congrats to Juan Diaz for the win. I really enjoyed the fight at first, but then it became very repetitive and it was like i was watching the same thing over and over. Man Diaz is exciting I just wish he had more power, he just frustrates the sh!t out of people until ther conrner stops it or they quit. I would rather see him flattening people but o well. Juan Diaz is the best lightweight at the moment. Im not hating, but does anyone else think that lightweights like Castillo and Corrales would have destroyed him?
